You're betting on potential here. 12 months ago he looked like the next big thing but he has stagnated a bit and has had a bad season so far (admittedly the whole team is underperforming). He's your classic "dribble until kingdom come" Argentine winger, but he really has amazing first touch and close control, but needs to mature and release the ball sooner. How much do you think Sevilla would want for him? They'd try to fleece you, they drive a hard bargain. BUT after not qualifying for the CL this season and in danger of not doing it again this one, they'll need the cash. As for what amount of money... given some recent sales and current form of the player I'd say €12m-€15m, their asking price this summer was reportedly €20m-€30m Rather put that on Zoggy but I am the only one in the world probably.

Man Utd don't have a hope in hell in winning the CL this season imo. ? Surely the 2nd or 3rd best team in the tournament. And the fact that they're consistent is good for a two match phase. Barcelona and Real Madrid are probably the strong favourites, but I can see Man Utd and Inter (who has grown a lot during the last month) are slightly behind. But then again its the CL and Shaktar, Arsenal, Bayern, Chelsea, Tottenham, Milan well basically anyone can win.

Still open, and despite the Juve loss you are carrying the momentum and Milan aren't looking as strong as they did in 2010. Napoli might nick it, would be grand. Cavani > Maradona if they nick it .

Ridiculous, Barca lost because they missed at least 5 chances they should've scored on. If Barcelona is effective n Camp Nou it will finish 5-0 or so. Messi was pretty self-fish at times last night too. No team puts away every chance we had a couple of moments ourself and (if you're not English i apologise) but 'self-fish' Hell, that was bad. I apologize. Fucking hell. That's embrassing, I'll blame the fact I had just come up from bed.

Crazy how many goals you have scored since Leonardo took over, I told you, you'd be happy with him. I'm rooting for Inter in the CL just so Allegri and Zlatan can cry with each other.

Wilshere was great, I fucking hate knowing he's a year younger than me. It's ridiculous. However, this match was Brazil-Holland all over again. First half Barcelona could've put 3-4 goals away and just ended the match, but instead they came out showing nothing in the 2nd half and let Arsenal control the game. Good stuff for the neutral as the 2nd leg will be immense!

He's just a massive cheating f*** to go with it unfortunately. True, but it helps the team.

HTT. I see where you coming from, but I still believe that a striker is judged on goal and how much he helps a team. Ronaldo was exceptional in creating spaces, in drawing two-three defenders, taking them on and above all scoring. Shearer was real hard worker, but Ronaldo made it much easier to his team he took pressure of his team. People were saying Ronaldo was past it but he still scored once every two games for Milan as fat as he was so he also adapted his game in a marvellous matter. For me Romario is the closest you'll find a striker in the 90's to Ronaldo. Romario had more raw talent but he just couldn't bother enough. Ronaldo fought back from injuries time after time, he felt he never won enough and wanted more all the time. People say that he wasn't loyal but remember he never wanted to leave Barca and before going to Real he offered his services back to Barcelona but the club couldn't afford it. He was loved by everyone. Don't get me wrong I love Shearer and at his prime he was unstoppable my only match I've watched live in Newcastle, Shearer contributed so much and won every single header. But in his prime I don't think he was as feared by the opposition as Ronaldo was. Talking about Rivaldo, he might be one of the most underrated players of all time. Won world best player once but people forget he was Brazils best player in the 2002 world cup. I was at the world cup and saw two games and he tracked back so much and did so much for the team it's ridiculous. And still at 38 he showed his quality two weeks ago in his debut for Sao Paulo. Quality. Just sad that todays Brazilian players are average and non-spectacular players (Elias, Lucas, Ramires (good players but nothing spectacular)). I'm keeping my hopes up that Pato, Coutinho, Neymar and Ganso will develop into their full potential.

All three goals scored by brazilians. Crazy.
-
Yup, dunno why he shouldn't be in the same wage bracket as their top players. The thing is, Xavi and Messi are more important, but he helps the team so much with his pace and positioning. Sonng i slooking awful btw. Shaktar makes it 2-1. Douglas Costa and Jadson scoring. Great to see these Brazilian talents doing good over there.

Arsenal is giving so much space to Dani Alves its ridiculous. Fucking love how high up the field Dani Alves plays. Barcelona should give him his fucking money, best right back in the world by a mile.
-
I still don't like him, but as long as he's getting goals than fine. But people saying he's a good footballer are out of their minds. He's useless under pressure, however he won couple of headers yesterday so maybe there is hope with him after all.

1-1 Another point.
-
Me too, but I'm even more excited for the Barcelona match tonight. Will be good. FYI! I understood B(Arsenal)lona

Our transfer policy is to lose players on the cheap? Agreed, wtf is he on? £35 million for Carroll isn't cheap. I think he was referring to getting players from elsewhere on the cheap.

He should've broken his nose ffs, vile old man.
-
Why not? Then we should look to offload him for £35million.

The thing with Mikey Ashley is that when everything is going well he tends to fuck off but it still betters the club. Every decision he has taken since after we were relegated have been good, despite Hughton leaving, Pardew has done a good job until now. People need to stop blaming him for everything and just hope that for once he won't fuck up. He's running this club as a business and we're on of few clubs who are debt-free now aren't we?
-
He's a fucking awful footballer, but for some reason he seems to score goals. Still think he's very average at best, but he is getting goals for us and thats what matters in the end. Creds to him! But we still need two new strikers in the summer.

Gattuso is a hero, excellent attitude. Imagine Barton doing that, he would be banned for life.
-
Haha Gattuso what a hero!

Best injured. Guthrie to come on.

FFS! Flamini that's ridiculous. That's a straight red, horrible tackle just horrible tackle.
