  1. Shepherd would be terrible. I would much rather take a chance on somebody else. We would be very very unlucky to end up with someone worse than Shepherd again. What if there is no other option? If theres no other option other than to die as a club, of course I would take Freddy back. However, from reports it seems like there ARE other options. We don't know how ambitious they will be though. With Shepherd you know he will set his sights on a return to the Prem and will make the funds available to do it. After Ashley, I'm very nervous about the motives of foreign investors unless they are minted. I would rather see the club safe and well run tbh. With that we will progress on and off the field at the correct pace. If we are well run we will get promoted anyway. Shepherd plunging us into more dept and making a fool of himself holds no attraction to me, especially considering how bad his decision making has proven to be in the past. You can be well run AND ambitious you know. This club can be both considering the potential it has to generate money. I would rather two years in this division sorting ourselves out, than spunking a load of cash we don't have up the wall and Shepherd strutting around making more ridiculous decisions in the Premier League. We would most likely end up back at square one the Shepherd way. How anyone can trust the fat cunt is beyond me.

  4. I think the most likely source is Seymour Pierce because the BBC story contains both sides of the equation, Shepherd's bid and the likelihood that Ashley will accept. The brokers are the only ones who would know both parties positions. Also, if people know that Shepherd is close to a deal, other bidders (if there are any) would be more likely to get a move on.
  5. Wonder what odds I would get on the return of Ashley in another two years. Why does nothing good ever happen at Newcastle United. Only we can go from a totally shit owner, to the worst owner ever, back to the totally shit owner again. What have we done to deserve this?!
  6. I thought the TU were just lads who liked to go to games and sing. When did they become so organised? Does it really need to be?

    RIP sale thread.

Story in the Mail saying that Ashley has recieved an offer for the club tonight.
  9. But if people have proved this already and then surely they didn't have to wait till everyone had before they allowed access, surely they can given individual access. Basically it sounds like we're a joke again. Just going off what David Craig said.
  10. Apparently its an online version of the clubs books. People or groups who have proved they have the cash to buy the club can look at the books before finalising their bid for the club.
  11. As long as its in the north that is. ha
  12. I love the Boxing Day away games.
  13. I'd rather not have Shearer if it meant Shepherd was coming back.
  14. No. I would be disgusted. Can we not just get someone normal to buy us? It says it all that Freddy STILL can't admit to his mistakes. He still tries to defend his ridiculous management every times he's interviewed.

    RIP sale thread.

I struggle to understand how Newcastle are being fooled. Some mackem twat goes to extraordinary sad lengths to create a joke, the papers jump on it, then its found to be a hoax. Did anyone even bat an eyelid at this 'bid'? Ive just found out about it. Its quite obvious the mackems care more about us failing than their own team.
  16. Phillipe Alberts goal against Man United. Still gives me goosebumps. Bellamy's goal against Feynoord is the only thing that comes close, but that wasnt in the league.
  17. Very sad news. Being a Berwick fan i have seen him play loads of times. He was one of the best players in the division, and after reading other tributes on Pie and Bovril website seems like he was one of the soundest guys you could meet. Alway wanted Berwick to sign him but not to be. Sad loss.

    Plastic Geordies

Don't know what defines a Geordie tbh, but he's from Newcastle supporting area whatever. Born in Ashington like me. Don't like him in the slightest.
  19. Did anyone see SSN this morning. I only got a bit of it before I left for work and they were going to interview Ross McCormack from Cardiff about his future. I would take him alongside Beckford. We would still have Carroll as well I would have thought.

    Plastic Geordies

More Play-doh geordie when you look at his nose. I think he got that playing for Gillingham in the cup many years ago. Like most centre halves he was more comfortable using his heed than his feet, and tried to clear a ball in his own penalty area that was 6 inches off the ground with his heed and got a good kicking for his trouble. Still, he was a player with a massive heart and he was a huge over achiever considering his abilities. I saw lads nutmeg him, run around and nutmeg him again when he was a kid, but he was very focussed and single minded and always tried to be the best he could be. He'll make sure that there will be no passengers in the mackem squad and they'll more than just survive next season. And all this talk of him being a "plastic geordie" is total bollocks. He's just maximizing his talent, as he's always done, and not trying to upset any club, or set of fans, that might progress his career in the future. He's a very shrewd cookie making the best of what he's got, and that's to be commended. I agree. Think he will do well for the mackems. Bobby Charlton has annoyed me ever since his interview in the Boro away dressing room after they beat us to the title. No idea if it makes him a plastic geordie, but I do think he's a cunt.

    League Cup

http://www.mfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,1~1685646,00.html We skip the 1st Round and go straight into Round 2.

    Peter Løvenkrands

He would be a good Championship player.
  24. That doesnt really matter anyway. The pressure up there is unbelievable, and not only for old firm games. If they drop points in any game the media go into overdrive as there's little else to talk about. Every minute detail is trawled over. Just listen to the Real Radio phone in on Setanta. Its ridiculous. Adams is being a bit arrogant saying that its a 50% chance as well. If you fuck up, teams like Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen and Dundee United can easily beat the OF on their day.
