PSG had a good manager though. Dont know if you can take anything from that like. Im confused. Surely the difference between them and us is that they have a good manager, and we have a s*** one. Or am I being wooooshed! My point being, they only missed the drop by 3 points WITH a good manager. Not neccesarily all down to the manager. Le Guen is proven in the French league. Despite a poor season last year they must have trusted him to get it right eventually. There is no way on earth that Joe "442, come on you cunts, go out and play" Kinnear will do the same for us.

We would need a decent manager to get anywhere near the top half. Unless we appoint one we have no chance.

Its patronising shite and I can't believe its on our official site. Actually, yes I can believe its on our official site. Like something I would have read in the Berwick programme when we played Rangers in the cup 8 years ago.

Good point, I forgot he was still here. Is he injured? If he's not getting a look in with the seniors he should at least be getting some reserve matches shouldn't he? (ah, the Xisco conundrum again...) He's a shocking Premier League player. His performance against Liverpool at Christmas gives me nightmares. League 1 standard at best. Worse than Huntington ever was.

I think this is the problem tbh. We are relying on motivation rather than tactics. The thing, like at Bolton on Sunday, when our play isnt working because of a lack of a plan and tactics, motivation seems to be sucked out of the team. They just resort to punting it to Martins or Shola rather than following any plan. Motivations all well and good, but when its zapped straight out of the team, like it was when Bolton got their early second half goal, we're fucked!
-
Seriously? I don't think we have ANY leaders on the pitch myself. Always concerns me when a goalkeeper is captain too.
-
Surely even that Richard Money would be a better option than Hughton. Its ridiculous how we are trusting our Premier League status on clipboard Chris. It really is staggering. Les Ferdinand, who was at Spurs when he was a coach said as much on Football Matters last night.

We are in real trouble. Think i said 2 or 3 when the thread started, but im up to an 8 now. We easily have good enough players, however I can't imagine us staying up without a manager. All we do is pick 442 every game, and pick players to fit that formation. Then its motivation. Theres no other tactics or any consideration for the team we're playing. If we stay up continuing without a plan, never mind a plan b where we can change a game, then we will be very very lucky. We are by far and away the least organised team in the Premier League.
-
We werent very organised atall. This is hardly surprising considering we don't seem to have any tactics. Its like 442, then tell the players to go out and play. We play the same in every single match, dont change how we play against different teams, and don't have anybody to change to a plan b because there isnt one. The only influence the coaches seem to have is motivation.

One of my mates has told me that Newcastle fans are now banned from that big pub called the Beehive at the top of the road. Is this true, and if it is, wheres the next pub for away fans? Be nice to know what time it they open too.

We just have to hope we always have clever enough players to sort themselves out, and ignore everything their 'manager' says.

Ridiculous. Mind, when following Berwick at Dumbarton we come up with far worse. Last season we won a pen and everyone was standing up to watch. As the pen was being taken the stewards were trying to get people to sit down, and going off their heads when people were ignoring them. Our team had a pen, why would anyone want to get into an arguement with them as a pen was being taken? We have also been warned to 'quieten down' when we were singing up there. I was once dragged to the bottom of the stand for being 'threatening' when I questioned a stewards behaviour and said it was pathetic. I didnt even swear.

Its would be nice if we could get ourselves into a position of safety well before the season ended (not going to happen) so we could give some of these youngsters a run out. Will never happen though as managers here worry about the pressure they will come under if results dip a bit, even if we've nothing to play for.
-
Its good reading about the reserves and youths. Makes me forget about the clip of the first team.

Inman was on the bench at City for the 1st team wasnt he?

Looks of the same build as Ronaldo.

I would never like to predict what clueless Ashley will do next, but him and Whelan don't get on, infact Whelan hates him so maybe Ashley would want to get one over on him by stealing their manager. Just a thought. Would be pleased if we did get him though, he has potential and we would have a manager good enough to stick with for once.

This is like when Chris Hutchings gets a job, when Sammy Lee went to Bolton, when Tony Adams got the Pompey job. So fuckin obviously the WRONG DECISION!!!!! FUCKIN HELL!!!!!!!!

Confirmed on SSN.

TBF, he's only supporting his manager. It's not like he can go out and say "no, Kinnear is something of a clown and we obviously didn't know what we were doing when we hired him. We'll get rid of him sharpish". He probably sends deep-fried Mars bars to Kinnear at the hospital. All he needs to do is say" Joe was always a temp, and we are active in searching for a long term manager."

My god!

It will probably end up being someone we all thought was dead again. The options on the table for me are: Bobby Campbell (Chelsea manager 88-91) David Webb (Chelsea manager 1993) Billy Bonds (West Ham manager 1990-1994)

Erm, no offence, but you come across as a bit of a prick there. If this report is true then people have a right to be upset. The man isnt a manager and we will be going into our most important run in since 1996 without a manager in charge of the team. Even Terry Venables would be a far better choice until the end of the season. Appointing a coach, and nothing more than a coach as manager when we are in such a position as we are would be a massive massive mistake. I'm with you 100%. But I won't be lynching any cockneys until this is confirmed by the club. Fair enough. Its nothing to do with cockneys or nationality with me, I just want someone whos a manager, whos fairly respectable, and who can keep us up in charge. I would love if we were able to get someone longterm in now, someone decent, but I cant see it. I look forward to the chairmans explanation on offering Joe a long term contract in the press tomorrow. I can't wait to hear what he says.
