I'm sure the same will have been said the last time we went down. At this stage of that season?, no I don't think so.
-
A much more important stat is two points from their last six games vs six points from our last six.

Its not on any UK TV channels. But I'm sure plenty of places in London will have foreign channels. Just depends on whether or not you can convince one of them to put on any of the 30-40 channels worldwide that are showing the game. -
right after Arrested Development Nah Trailer Park Boys. Both House and Arrested Development are good though, Breaking Bad as well. Anyway back to Football
-
Sounds like the typical view you'd get from any Football fan that doesn't support Newcastle. Probably complete and utter bollocks
-
But a lot of the clubs taking part in the Champions League will be getting the technology installed for their domestic competitions in the next few years anyway, so long term his cost analysis just for the Champions League is bollocks.
-
Well that does sound like they've learned a lesson or two, certainly compared to the relegation season.
-
They're actually making it worse for him. Had everyone at Wigan just admitted the obvious (that the tackle was at the very least reckless) and the player apologised the day it happened this wouldn't still be going on.
-
Would there be much of a backlash? If we can still be competitive in the market it would be good to start clearing the debts at some point I'd have thought. Maybe not though if he continues to charge the club minimal interest on the loans. As far as I know he's never charged any interest.
-
Its him but not a current comment.
-
Yeah he does make a slight contact on the ball, but the tackle is still over the ball (think his heel scrapes the top of the ball first).
-
Dont give me this bullshit There's absolutely no need to blatantly lie and say a shocking challenge was a perfect tackle just because he's your player. He could just not comment, or just say "he made a mistake but he's a nice lad really ect". Every single bit of what he says there is basically the opposite of the truth and "he's defending his own" just doesn't excuse that.

Fulham have proved to be a bit of a bogey team for us over the years and have been getting the odd good result here and there, just beat Spuds at their place, this weekend. We play the mackems right after a trip to Benfica, it will be a tough game and they'll obviously be up for it. I'm not as convinced about that. We're at home against Benfica the week we play Sunderland.
-
We didn't have Sissoko, Gouffran, Yanga-Mbiwa or Debuchy back then though. for mbiwa we've lost colo, as i've already said i don't think he's utilising sissoko correctly and think teams can nullify him as a result, agree on gouffran but then he did have quality like marveaux he chose not to play...any ideas how long debuchy will be injured for? Yeah I was just pointing out that you were mentioning the players we'd lost since then but not the ones we've gained. As in we've lost Coloccini, but we've gained Yanga-Mbiwa ect (and we didn't have Taylor during that terrible run of results either). Also while I agree Sissoko isn't being used correctly and can be forced out of the game easier then he should he's still not going to be totally nullified, he'll still be a positive for us in the next 8 games.
-
We didn't have Sissoko, Gouffran, Yanga-Mbiwa or Debuchy back then though. We've got 12 points from our previous 8 games, IMO we'll need mo more than 7 points from the following 8 to stay up (probably more like 4-5 points though). So personally I'm at a 2 on the relegationometer.
-
No I think he'd have preferred to be playing against 10 men for the majority of the game and not to concede in the 89th minute like..
-
Cant wait for those bunch of nothings to disappear down the divisions.
-
Think the only luck involved is having Michael Turner on the opposition's team. Bassong one was pretty clear, Bunn red card was probably the right decision, albeit not as clear. Other way around IMO as far as which decision was easier. Anyway lets see what the ref gives when the ball inevitably deflects off a Sunderland arm at some stage
-
Now that's a bit dodgy.. He pulls his arm away and the contact is minimal, can't see how its deliberate.
-
No it didn't, it hit his elbow when he had his arms in the air stopping the ball from going over him. Did it fuck. How can you watch those replays and actually believe it doesn't hit the underside of his arm?
-
Quite clearly hit the underside of his arm. Might be harsh but we'd expect a red for that if it happened to us.
-
I mean, I can almost sort of see what he means, but it really feels like an insult to even compare them
-
I must have seen a different Owen.
-
Just wish we were playing at home first.
