  1. I said its the one important area where it can be used easily without interfering with the game, not that its the one important area full stop (as in the most important one). Yeah, I suppose you're right on that. It is the easiest place to introduce technology, but it doesn't really make a significant impact on fairness in the game. Which would be my reason for wanting technology. Personally I would use no technology and educate people to accept the decision of the ref, but I realise that won't be happening. I know it doesn't happen to any one persons team very often so can easily be seen as not very important by some. But it happens to one team or another reasonably often (which can effect the whole tournament/league for every other team) and when it does happen its certainly not seen as insignificant by anyone effected by that game. I know I wouldn't have seen it as insignificant during the World Cup. When it comes to areas where technology would only help make a decision and would possibly delay the game then I can understand not wanting it because their's a downside as well as a possible upside. But if we have a way to make a decision 100% correct every time that has no negative effect on the game (as in a instant signal to the referee that the ball has or hasn't crossed the line) then why not do it?
  2. By the way, do we know which technology they've gone with?
  3. Sorry removed my post when I realised I was replying to something you said last year.. I said its the one important area where it can be used easily without interfering with the game, not that its the one important area full stop (as in the most important one).

    Hatem Ben Arfa

why does he stay ???the song hatem ben arfa it's shit He stays for the same reason he came. Now f*** off s*** hustler.
  5. I'd field a full strength team and hope we can get a good lead to take over there. But no matter what happens I'd still take a second string for the away leg, I wouldn't even have the likes of Debuchy, Coloccini, Santon, Cabaye, Sissoko or Cisse on the plane.

  7. You know for a fact it will. Aye, Debuchy and Anita are testaments to that. The debuchy hate on here was ridiculous. People wanting Simpson back ffs. For me its a dream come true having two full backs who can actually play the ball... Were some people really saying that? Who were they so I can add them to my ignore list..

I thought they just faded second half. They had been everywhere first half, inspired the lead. We were winning every 50/50. We changed nowt at half time but Villa made a couple of massive changes and came out 3 gears up on what they had been. Looked a different team. In my view, Pardew didn't want to bring off Sissoko but wanted him more involved. He had to do something about midfield. Straight swapping Gutierrez wouldn't have helped that much as he's one of the hardest workers (if disappointing tonight) and Obertan wasn't even on the bench as an option....so he sacrificed Perch to drop Sissoko deeper. It didn't really work out as we were still desparately hoofing. We still have limited options on the bench, despite all the transfer activity. We changed our mentality in the second half after another well timed Pardew team talk, we were panicky from the second they stepped back onto the pitch. Fair enough Villa came out fighting and got a very lucky penalty decision at the worst possible time for us, I'm not going to blame Pardew for absolutely everything. But IMO swapping Gutierrez could certainly have helped that, whenever the ball came near him he fucked up which was part of the reason we couldn't keep the ball or gain any kind of cohesion. Had no idea Obertan was left out (didn't think he was injured??). In that case either Sammy or Anita was Gutierrez could still have improved things.

Does it matter who he hugged after the game? He'd originally left Jonas out but had to reinstate him when Marveaux got injured. Whatever Jonas did or didn't do on the pitch he gave 100% and AP was thanking him for the effort imo. Got no problem with him putting his arm around Gutierrez, its not really his fault that he's a bit shit he is still putting the effort in. Also I hope his starting lineup was Marveaux instead of Guti. Though I've no idea why Gutierrez was the backup plan to Marveaux.

He was out wide first half too...when we dominated the game, took a 2 goal lead and Cisse himself was one of the scorers. Must have been watching a different game to me, mate. Did we not dominate the first half? We did. Cisse played as the central striker first half though. Aye. Went out wide when Shola came on. So he played wide for 20 minutes.....20 minutes where we had one man in their half most the time anyway. Tactical blunder to be sacked for...after a win. Right. If that was the only blunder he made it may have been forgivable. Can't disagree with either of the new 2 going off after barely being involved second half, or that the other new lad came on. So the complaints are Perch came off or Shola/Anita came on. There was no-one else on the bench I particularly fancied coming on. They were less involved due to the way he had us setup to play. Far better to change the way we were playing to allow them to get on the ball then remove them from the pitch and replace them with worse players. Why not leave Perch in midfield and take Jonas off and replace him with Obertan. You get rid of our worst player in the game (as much as I like Gutierrez he was miss controlling everything, giving away dangerous freekicks, he was a liability) and then have some pace to hit them on the break. But instead he takes off Perch for Shola and puts Cisse on the wing with Gutierrez still their fucking everything up. What fucking good was that? Not to mention he then brings on a central defender into defensive midfield when he's only just taken Perch out of that position, he's nuts man!

That's if he could manage it before being taken off for Shola..

Very rarely is anyone 100% responsible for anything. But when you're manager consistently causes your team as many problems as possible it certainly doesn't fucking help!

I said to a few friends after the Reading game we'd be relegated 100% unless Pardew left or we signed some really good players to counter his atrocious management. Luckily we did get some good players in but its still looking difficult with him in charge.

Astonishing. I hope he's just being kind there. Then again nothing he's said there is crazier then his team selections/substitutions so maybe not.
  15. tactics probably the same as the first but they never responded from the whistle in the second half. the players never responded to the higher pressure and tempo. Probably the same? Or looking at all of our other performances under Pardew, were they probably different? Given that we almost always concede initiative if we're winning. looking at today we didn't have the ball enough to see if we'd changed tactics. one thing for definite, cabaye and sissoko had nowhere near the movement looking for the ball and working in the second half, or was that pardews tactic, stand still 35yds out and don't even trail back ? I think this is a point that needs to be understood. Obviously Pardew didn't manage to shore things up at all, but the game fragmented and turned into a situation where almost no gameplan was going to be implementable. If you remove Gutierrez from the pitch at some point that could have gone a long way to sorting things out.

    Fucking catastrophe of a manager.
  17. That's right it was Jonas. Depends what you're talking about. Gutierrez blocked the first shot, Yanga-Mbiwa got the last ditch tackle in to stop the second shot. My thoughts on the match. Good first half, then the usual, poor refereeing decisions and Pardew doing his best to help Villa almost fucked us again. Very good result, but again I'm left worried if we can beat anyone else with Pardew sabotaging every match.
  18. Here we go again, lets give Villa every chance eh Pardew?
  19. The early goal has been our problem though recently, when we've scored it we've stopped playing in the second half. As soon as we score Pardew does his best to ensure we can't score again.

Wonder how much we'll still be paying this fucker?
  21. Depends on his character and what they offer him. Of course they'll likely offer him mental money and unless he's truley determined to play first team Football (or they really want him in the starting lineup) he'll go their in that case.

    Wilfried Bony

Not if we go 3 at the back Maybe, but never going to happen like

    Wilfried Bony

Did you miss the Yanga-Mbiwa signing? No. We could still do with another one. Just like we could still do with another striker. Think three top class centre backs is a bit over the top like. In the summer we need another top class centre back, but not now.

At no point was he bothered enough about his career to sacrifice a penny of the money we're contracted to pay him, why feel sorry for the bloke, he's obviously happy enough doing what he's doing. Though I'm sure once he leaves, and there's no longer any risk of losing so much as a weeks wages in fines, he'll tell us about the hell he's gone through over the past several years
