  1. Williamson is ok in the air too, it's on the floor with his two clowns feet and football brain that gives us nightmares. Can't see this lad being too bad on the deck, hopefully. He looks fantastic on the floor, just saying he also looks good in the air.
  2. At least 6 foot, not sure exactly. Looks excellent in the air.
  3. 8 million Euro release clause then, that explains it
  4. I don't blame Pardew for not signing players in the summer. However I do blame him for being an abysmal manager.
  5. Why does this matter? we agreed a fee already. Because the fee looks so oddly low I was just wondering if the reason was his contract running out soon. I'm not trying to suggest anything negative, I'm only curious to figure out why they're letting him go for £6.7M as I'd expected a higher fee when I first heard it had been agreed.
  6. When's his contract with Montpellier run out?
  7. Only one thing can stop the rot, sack the feckless cunt in charge of the team. Well or sign a few class players to paper over the cracks of Pardews management. Then sack the prick at the end of the season.
  8. Yep, as great a player as I think he is what on earth can one player do to save us from the floppy cock that manages this club?
  9. Not as desperate as i am for Pardew to go mind. He's the most spineless manager I've ever seen. He's terrified whenever we go ahead and it spreads to the players. It takes a lot.for me to say this but yeah he's got to go.
  10. Is triffic mate, watched it a few times I have, gets better everytime I see it. Surely that should be more like "noocarsew" or something?
  11. That first link claims we're going to be paying him £60k per week, no doubt he's worth it though so perhaps we're willing to pay those kind of wages for the right player.
  12. Not getting my hopes up on this one, he's so good that if I do get my hopes up and we don't sign him I'd be inconsolable.
  13. Reading are the only team in the league worse away from home than we are, we've fucking got to win this game!

    Hatem Ben Arfa

When the tide goes back towards the sea. Anyway Hatems going nowhere, not this year, he obviously loves it hear. But of course if we finish in the bottom half this season and then have another shit season the year after I can see him going.

    Loïc Remy

Heard this too. Apparently he found out Fernandes was "a really nice guy" after playing him at FIFA. Sounds like a total nutjob tbh. Its preferable to simply saying "I wasn't interested, but then I heard they would pay me a ridiculous wage, oh and we played FIFA for a bit while Harry sorted out my special banking arrangements.." Anyway he's made his decision and for all his potential he's hardly a great player so lets just move on.

They're bottom of the league 6 points from safety. 14 points from 22 games and 4 points from their last 5 games. They may survive, but getting out of the relegation zone quite easily isn't going to happen.

A couple of wins in a row would see them still in the bottom 3, not that they're likely to get a couple of wins in a row.

Have said it for ages, he's going to keep them up. Since he's arrived he's averaged 1.11 points per game, much better than before he arrived. But that form still wouldn't be enough to keep them up and their form out of their last 5 games is only 0.8 points per game, as bad as ours (but obviously we're 7 points better off).

From all reports personal terms were going fine, no indication at all that we didn't offer him a good deal.
  20. Why does anyone believe that article? Its sounds like it was written by a 10 year old.

I support our clubs stance... But we're really not like. Probably not, but QPR may find that they would have been better off without him. What incentive does he have to even try there? Its arguably a win for him if they go down.

Yeah it's getting old. We can come back to this one when Plan B and C have fizzled and died in two weeks time. Speaking of getting old..

If he goes to QPR he has. We are playing diabolically and it was bound to catch up to us sooner or later recruitment wise. Like I said yesterday had we been top half like expected he'd have signed and not even thought about QPR. Money talks, and if they werent offering mad cash he'd come here, but if they were offering mad cash and we were looking good then he'd be here im absolutely sure of it. I was about to say this like. If you think that the style of football played hasn't had an impact on things then people are naive in the extreme. Sure the money will have got him interested, but the style of football played is a draw for these frenchies (i think Cabaye mentioned it just after we signed him), it would only take 10 mins of Harry filling his lugs with correct information about how we play hoofball and how flowing the football he played as spurs was and that might have sealed it. So yeah when you come down to it, we have two teams battling one another for relegation one offers more money and potentially better football and living in London, the other is a hoofball side with a few poorly used french internationals somewhere in the North. Why on earth would Remy believe anything Redknapp has to say about style of play ect? He'd believe him no more than he would Cabaye or Barton. No idea what the motivation is to try to convince yourself or others that this isn't 95% about the money, but it really is. QPR offer nothing over us outside of London, that's it. We're much better known and more respected in France, much better stadium and facilities, in a better position in the league and have more players he'd know. QPR have a crazy contract offer, no need to pretend otherwise. Read my comments. I don't doubt that money drove the deal, I'm just saying, that as footballing reasons have been mentioned in the press as part of this, it would only take a look at our season so far to realise that we are an awful footballing side, and that by and large Redknapp gets good players to play good football. Ok so the press may be making up lies to help the Harry PR show, or in fact, it could have been part of the reason for rejecting us... Did you expect anything else? Seriously, do you think Remy or anyone connected with him was going to say "I came here because you offered me more money"? No matter what the reason Remy is going to say its all about Football and the press are happy to report that because its Harry. I mean the reports we've seen are basically denying that money had any influence at all, obviously you don't believe that so why believe any of it? I have said a few times now that I think money had a huge role to play. I get your point about him not wanting to come out and say that he went for the best deal, but by the same token it is not unheard of for people to come out and say that though is it? (Ba anyone?) I do think that money obviously had a huge role to play, but I have also said that the way we play football at the moment may have impacted negatively on our offer. If the guy has said that footballing reasons is a factor, then perhaps it is? I'm sure some players are honest enough to admit it, Remy clearly isn't considering the claims coming from his camp that money had nothing to do with it. I see no reason to believe a word he says if he can't at least admit that money has been a major factor in his decision. I'm just saying that it is a good chance it is both the money and the offer of playing more attractive style of football not either or. We could speculate for quite some time on everything that could have had the tiniest influence on his decision. But neither of us know either way, its equally possible that playing style has nothing to do with it at all. Right, obviously there could be other things, being closer to home, the London factor, maybe a relegation clause, I just don't see why it couldn't possibly be both money (as mentioned by other press sources, Barton etc.) and style of football played (as mentioned by his reps). Obviously we are all speculating because it hurts, and I for one am not daft enough to believe everything that has been said in the press, but since playing style is out there and has been mentioned, I think it is worth discussing as a reason for his rejection. Well he had no interest what so ever in even knowing how QPR played before this new contract offer (not that they play great Football anyway) and the comments from his camp are quite obviously dishonest. You can discuss the possibility of playing style having a minimal effect on his decision if you like but I think a better discussion is do you really believe if we were playing better he'd have ignored this crazy contract offer?

Not sure Pompey fans think fair play to him like. Why not, it's not Harry's fault that Pompey's chairman is a complete idiot it's him that controls the cash ultimately. He's got a way of getting chairman to dish out the cash but has absolutely no responsibility when too much cash is spent? The chairman is ultimately most responsible, but I doubt Portsmouth fans see Harry as blameless.
