We're not signing Carton Cole for fuck sake
-
I wouldn't be worried if he did, he's been distinctly average for quite a few games now and his free kicks are crap. Do you think that maybe part of the reason he's been arguably below par (not sure I agree but it's certainly debatable) is because of the way this club's idiot hierarchy have treated him? That perhaps morale is more of a problem than the ability which he showed for large parts of last year? I don't know, was morale a problem for his first 3 years here? What most people seem to forget is that he's been here for 4 years and been good for about half a season. I think he can be a good player when he's really fired up, he can also do idiotic things. Like I said I'd prefer to keep him as a squad player, but he's not a player I'd be gutted to see go. I'd still be disappointed if he did go and we didn't replace him though.

8mil left back 10mil striker 3mil obertan 4.5mil Cabaye 25.5mil 2mil Routledge 4mil Nolan 35mil Carroll 6mil Enrique 47mil 21.5 mil profit If we spent that i would actually be chuffed. You're not accounting for the wages, agent fees, taxi to pick players up from the airport (plus 50p tip), cost to print new players shirts etc. Not to mention the extensive tarmac work and geothermic bore holes this summer. When you add that in £8m for a left back is not going to happen. Or Ben Arfa Why does everyone always forget the poor lad

if they knew we were so dangerous from set pieces, you'd have thought bruce would try and put a stop to them obliterating any of our players who got within 40 yards of their goal with the ball Hilarious isn't it? They believe we have no threat from open play, so they jump into every tackle desperate to stop us from playing and give away loads of free kicks Despite that, we still had more clear cut chances from open play than they did..

The top of my head would pop off!
-
So you must have left before Gosling had that chance one on one with your keeper then?
-
I wonder what soneone would have thought of Enrique if they judged him purely on his last few games for us..
-
Talking the lad up after he's won us the Derby. No way he believes he's a good left back.
-
This is the closest I've ever been to making a Pissi bet..

Ba is clearly our number one striker. Clearly because he was the one to make way for Obertan last week. Or clearly because we already know Shola is starting this week, ye most expect a 5 man midfield? Clearly because anyone with half a brain can see he's a far better player (I'm sure Pardew has at least half). If Shola starts ahead of Ba tomorrow it'll be down to fitness or the Geordie factor..

most probably some useless old c***s from free transfer like Kuqi Kuqi was signed as backup, we won't be signing a player like him for the first team. yes,if we didn't sign anyone in 2 weeks time, Ferguson or Raylor will be the 1st choice left back and we'll bring in some nobody from free transfer as backup , we did it when Carroll left last season, it won't surprise me if we did it again We still had 4 strikers when Kuqi came in as a backup, we have no left backs now (apart from a youth player). There's no comparison between this situation and that one and so no reason to believe anything similar will happen. How much p*ss will you drink if we bring in a decent left back BTW? we've got the time and money to bring in the player and yet fail to do so 2 weeks before transfer window close, the worst scenario now surely would be some panic buy or even free transfer junks. and who you to say there's no season to believe anything similar will happen? i would be glad if we can get a decent left back sooner, but base on what happen last few years, it just wouldn't surprise me if they screw up again. btw how much piss will you drink if we didn't bring in a decent left back? You can believe what you like, but if you're coming to that conclusion by comparing two entirely different situations then that's not a good basis for that belief. I won't be making any bets BTW, I actually haven't made any claims here on whether or not we'll sign a left back.

Fair enough he only has 1 in 2 starts in mackem land.
-
I worry a bit with Taylor in there, but not Shola. People will say its nonsense that Shola always does well against Sunderland, but you can't really argue with 6 goals in 4 starts.

Only NUFC could go down the charts to a bloke with double the goals our last target got...... erding scored 7.5 goals? Weak. Weak response to a weak post to be fair.
-
Unreal that like

Of course he is. Worse players have done that along the years. Not sure what argument this is? But, if I'm a team who are looking to compete with Barcelona and Real Madrid this year I would be looking at much better options than Tiote. There's a massive difference between their being better options and him not being good enough. Its not as if the Champions League final has two teams each with the best 11 players on the planet.

To be honest Best is far better than Ameobi anyway. Good to hear that you rate Maiga though
