  1. Woah now, common lets not go far to far now, we do have a problem with trying to sit back and defend leads far to much at the moment but we are not worse then we were with Allardyce! With Allardyce we used to defend the 0-0 from the start!.. against Derby now less! We played zero Football, at least now we can pass the ball on the floor. Nailz. Aye, that's probably fair enough. Still frustrating as fuck though. We are in trouble, no two ways about it, if he's gonna stop our good footballers playing football. Personally I don't believe that's going to be a problem. I think at the moment the players are getting nervous and sitting too deep because of that, which is compounded by our better players being unfit and getting tired early. Kinnear mentioned after the game that he was unhappy with how the team sat back too much in the second half. I think with some more confidence and fitness our second half performances will improve.
  2. A bit of bloody sense at last. Kinnear deserves a lot of praise IMO for what he's achieved here, not contempt. Definitely, while I can see the mistake being made as clearly as everyone else the criticism of Kinnear is over the top. We'd lost 5 games in a row before he came in, now in his first four games in charge we've gotten two draws a win and one loss.

  4. ./ I am not liking Kinnear's tactics at protecting leads. How can you replace your two best pacy outlets with players who are slower, but will be fulfilling the same exact roles. Thank the lord for Damien Duff, or the ball would never have left our half. Xisco for Martins was espeically pointless. To be fair he did that because both Martins and Gutierrez were knackered. Although he should have brought on someone like N'Zogbia instead I suppose. Hopefully both of them as well as Barton will be able to last much longer against Villa.
  5. How about instead of chopping and changing every single game we keep playing the only actual left back we've got at the club so he can get some match fitness and consistency?
  6. saddens me to say it, but he's spot on He's talking complete s***. the sentiments aren't complete shit. the way things are going, we're going down. if ashley can't sell, he needs to do his best to make damn sure we don't. Well I agree he has to make sure we don't go down obviously, he'll lose hundreds of millions otherwise, but the answer to that (if we're still in trouble which I don't believe we will be) is to make funds available in January. The idea that he should give up on selling and tough it out is not only completely premature but ultimately wouldn't help the situation IMO.

  8. The Spuds hype has started again already I see.. According to bookies they're now more likely to finish in Europe then get relegated! Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror are claiming that appointing Redknapp could cost the Spuds a total of £30 million (cost of sacking Ramos, Poyet, Alvarez and Comolli, plus compensation for Portsmouth and Harry's new contract). It is the Mirror of course, but its probably not far from the truth on this one.
  9. Some people need to get a fucking grip here, we got lucky to get a draw against the mackems at the stadium of shite last season, we were worse in that game then we were yesterday.
  10. I really shouldn't have to point out to you that the two situations are completely different
  11. Butt is utterly shite, I was screaming for him to come off and instead we give him an injection to stay on Still while he did stick his leg out Diouf actually fell over his own feet.
  12. Don't. Don't what?, don't have eye's? Don't have Sky Plus? Rewind and watch it again, especially the angle were you can see Diouf from the front. Butt sticks out a leg towards Diouf but what actually makes him fall over is his own leg clipping his own heel.
  13. Has nobody else realised that Diouf actually fell over his own feet for the free kick they scored from?
  14. yep, and Shearer cried like a little girl to the ref tbh. Anyone who thinks he came out of that and the Keane situation looking hard as nails is insane basically Asking the ref how he didn't see what in effect was a punch in the face three yards in front of him is crying like a little girl? Hmm are you perhaps massively twisting the facts to fit some kind of odd chip you've got on your shoulder?
  15. From three sources I think but all posting on Skunkers at the moment.
  16. It really just adds fuel to the fire. Since it seems quite a coincidence that we're hearing we've been sold today and Kinear also seemed to find out today when his last game in charge will be.
  17. Just started watching now, thanks for the link.
  18. Is it definitely a current interview? Not on SSN yet which is wierd.
  19. I would assume that's because Harris is actually trying to sell us to the person/consortium that would be best for the club. It is, after all, his reputation on the line if we're bought out by a bunch of cowboys.

    Man City

Yeah best passing side outside of the top four apparently

    Man City

I've been thinking this recently as well. It seems everywhere I look Man City are being massively over hyped. Some of our own fans calling them a class side before today's game. Mick Lowes on Radio Newcastle talking about Jo, Robinho and Phillips as if they were an amazing combination. It seems that all this hype that came from the Abu Dhabi group has convinced people that Man City must now be amazing. They're a mid table side.

  23. Styles loves dishing out cards and making the big calls, he's a primma donna ref and always has been. as i said in the match thread, last season he gave out 15 reds in 34 games, almost one every other match ffs! in contrast alan wiley gave out 3 in 40 games, Howard Webb 2 in 38, Foy 6 in 34, Halsey 5 in 41. his record in dishing out the punishment is staggeringly s*** and wildly out of control. i discussed this with Paul Mosley a couple of years ago when it seemed styles had matured and calmed down somewhat, but he's just gone back to being a trigger happy c***. Can't argue with any of that. He's hopeless, and got it wrong tonight. But it was a difficult call and I think the vast majority would have given it. Burley's reaction was way over the top. Wasn't Burley's reactions not more towards the way in which Poll was defending the decision (which was basically any way possible) rather then the decision itself though?
  24. Do you usually crack jokes when your mother interupts you mid wank Yorkie? Because that was sarcasm, there's nothing hard about it, like I said you're very confused. If you called me a sarcastic twat then I could understand it, but this hard thing is just bizarre
