  1. Whatever amount is necessary to get the right players in.. Its pointless to guess an actual number.
  2. There's no way he's going to agree to what would be a certain pay cut
  3. Disagree, think he's quality. He's definitely quality sometimes, but he is inconsistent. Not saying he's a bad player, I'd have him here at the moment, just saying that him and Jo up front doesn't scream top 4 to me.
  4. Elano is a very inconsistent midfielder and Jo is new to the league and despite his height will get bullied IMO, especially early on.
  5. Take out a massive loan and spend it, no matter who its spent on the big numbers will make idiots happy, take note Mike Ashley! BTW that team has absolutely not top 4 potential, the forward line is weak as piss.
  6. I wouldn't have complained if we'd signed him because there is that chance he can get back to his best, but I'm definitely less then confident he'll ever recover from the Chelsea affect, so I'm not really bothered, especially for the money being talked about.
  7. Radknapp ruling something out before he's turned down.. sound familar?
  8. He would gladly take the wages Milner is currently on, as he certainly won't be on anythng close to that. So we could potentially get a player who is clearly better and just as good a pro for less money and less wages, who is also prem experienced. Hopefully this is what we have been working on in the last week with Birmingham. Their signing of Owusu-Abeyie gave me huge hope, and thankfully they are going pretty well at the moment. I think it is a very good possibility, and I would be ecstatic. Milner would be an absolute afterthought if we signed Larsson. i don't think it's clear. Neither do i... Well I hope we sign him. I will be proved right and you will all be proved very wrong. It's a joke to compare the two players, it really is. Have you not seen him play or something? Patience. yes i have seen both players play, and my guess is most prem managers have aswell and most would want milner instead of larsson. Joker. liverpool wanted milner, villa bid at least 8mill....why don't they buy the "superior" larsson for less and on less wages..those mugs eh? But we all know Milner's not worth anywhere near that money, so what does that say for Liverpool and Villa's judgement?
  9. Damn, with all our injuries I'd hoped you lot would be fair enough to keep Fabregas out for Sunday at least
  10. He means the argument in general is valid just not valid in Shevcheko's case.
  11. He has a valid argument used out of context in those quotes. He says when you sign a player it's an investment. If you sign someone at say 28 and sell him when he's 32 you'd expect to make a loss but provided he's added value to the team and done well it's a good decision and was worth the investment. He's trying to argue that about Sheva which is pointless as he cleary didnt add that much value including his wages. Of course I understand that, but like I said in Shevchenko's case the argument would only work if they actually got the £30 million back, and even then it would be arguable that he wasn't even worth his wages alone.
  12. When's Fabregas coming back Ash?
  13. Unless Milan gave them the £30 million back then Kenyon's reasoning is complete and utter shit, actually even if they had (which they most definitely didn't) he still wasn't even worth the wages they paid him..
  14. I'd take him for no fee on small wages, nothing else.
  15. Don't know why people are even mentioning Taylor here, he was at the end of his contract, that's why he got a new one. Its quite different when a player gets a new contract and then 12 months later, with three years still left one it, he wants a better one.. He's acting like he's a player we can't afford to lose when he's anything but.
  16. We're idiots because we're not prepared to increase James Milners wages every time he asks? .. Fuck the little prick, he signed a contract 12 months ago which already gave him a raise, now he wants another one.. take the money and run.
  17. If Milner, Smith and Ameobi leave we'll have replacements, they won't be allowed to leave without at least one versatile striker coming in. Also remember there's a two week break coming soon. So while Martins is out for 3 weeks he'll only miss two more games.

    Thick as mince

Bet he outscores him this season, regardless. 'He' being? Wasn't much of a goal scorer in his last Premiership stint especially considering he played for a top side at the time. Still an improvement on Kenwyn Jones I suppose.
  19. Are you talking about Keegans comments on Owen? What's that got to do with signing new players..

    Wednesday's Agenda

I'm sure had we just paid the full £10 million for Gutierrez, added a few million to the fee's of Guthrie/Bassong and Coloccini and demanded that Zagreb take our £16 million even though Modric wasn't going to sign for us then everything would be rosey eh?, because our net spend would be healthy mackems.gif

    Jose Enrique

What's "someone like Enrique"? A good defender as opposed to a shit one? someone who can make the odd mistake (like taylor). N'Zogbia makes more defensive mistakes plus he's nowhere near as good a defender as Enrique..

    Coventry City (a)

I'm looking forward to watching that tbh. I imagine that Jonas & Milner will be swapped round. Nice to see N'Zogbia in midfield as he hasn't really played there under Keegan. I don't think we're guarenteed a result by any means, it'll be a good watch though. pretty much the exact team i would have wanted to see (enrique and bassong, with nzog on left wing) except for jonas, who i would have preffered to be rested. We can't afford to rest our best players with so many injuries man! We aren't Real Madrid..
