  1. It's not a song, it's a piece of music.. and it's crap. 'If the Kids are United' by Sham 69 would be far better. all imho of course. That's a cockney song I know, its even got a cockney chirping away at the start.. can you imagine that shit playing at St James park?, makes me feel ill
  2. You weren't joking I bet You'd lose a bet then, I actually posted the second message before I even read any responses to the first, just left enough time to see if I got a bite.. Just shows the state of internet forums that anyone could actually believe I was being serious
  3. It's not a song, it's a piece of music.. and it's crap. 'If the Kids are United' by Sham 69 would be far better. all imho of course. A bite even after my last post, how delicious BTW 'If the kids are united" is complete shit and not only that but its a cockney song, disgraceful to suggest it to be honest, and that I'm not joking about.
  4. Nah just taking the piss I wondered if I'd get a bite in between posting that and my next post Still I agree with everyone who loves the tune, its synonymous with Newcastle United to me.
  5. I'd go as far as to say anyone who doesn't love the song isn't a Newcastle fan.
  6. Either he's been told he's not going to be a starter or being close to "home" is more important to him then his Football.
  7. Unfortunately I cannot see Coloccini playing as he hasn't had any pre-season at all. I hope I'm wrong but I would guess with Faye soon to be on his way out and Bassong still adapting that Cacapa (after his Old Trafford horror show last season!) will probably start. Like I said, I hope I'm wrong! No problem, he can mark Rooney who's apparently been on his death bed for most of pre season yet will still start on Sunday.. Also I assume that since that article says Coloccini and Jonas had to be registered by noon today to play on Sunday that means Berbatov has no chance of playing against us even if Manure sign him today?
  8. Who says the club are taking that attitude? Seems only doom mongers are really taking that attitude, lets all assume Jonas can't play, and Martins won't feature, and Coloccini won't be ready. Why not imagine Rooney, Nani, Ronaldo, Saha ect are all fit as well then we can really wallow in self pity.
  9. Don't see that being an upgrade, but we'll see.
  10. Are they going to change to 4 -6 -0?
  11. Significant upgrade based on what evidence? And in his most important international, the Euro 2008 semis, he might as well have not been on the pitch. Funny how everybody on here seems to be convinced that Colo is a significant upgrade on our current centre backs when the same reasoning applies.. The same reasoning doesn't not apply due to the difference in positions and leagues. I'd say its reasonable to think that one of the best central defenders in La Liga is a significant upgrade on our previous centre backs. Is it reasonable to think that an attacking midfielder from the Russian league is a significant upgrade on a very good Premiership striker?.. it isn't is it..
  12. He's absolutely nothing like Robbie Keane, how can you call an attacking midfielder a significant upgrade on a striker?..
  13. Pleasantly surprised?.. Shepherd is that you?
  14. I don't know why this is getting such a reaction from people. Faye would not want to leave here for a club like Stoke.. They're interested.. so fuck, it means nothing unless we decide he's not needed. The only way that would happen is if we've got a better player lined up, in which case its good news.. Stop panicking like little girls at every rumour or interest shown in our players.
  15. Personally I don't know for sure that he's currently better then Ameobi. But what I do know is that Ameobi is shit and at nearly 27 isn't getting any better. Derdiyok is a 20 year old current regular international.. I'd be more then happy replacing Ameobi with Derdiyok.
  16. Pointless TBH. Not finding a replacement, just replacing him with someone who isn't that good either. If we are to replace him it's either got to be ready made striker such as Santa Cruz etc or a younster who could be good for us in a few years i.e Derdiyok. There's no excuse for signing shite players, i'd rather give Carroll a chance. There's absolutely NO reason why we shouldn't put an offer in for Santa Cruz regardless of whether we sell Shola or not. Agree that Healy would be a pointless signing. problem there is viduka, owen, martins and another top striker, we can't keep them happy especially when we're not in europe You have to take into account the fact that Viduka will play his usual 20 games maximum next season
  17. Whats that? Never seen it. Search on youtube, its from when Christian Gross became Spuds manager. At the press conference he made a speech about how he was just like a normal spuds fan and proved it by showing them a ticket from his journey to the conference on the London underground. It was extremely out of place and strange, funny though in a "The Office" kind of way
  18. I suppose not being English would make it hard to recognise, Mclaren is speaking English but with a a semi Dutch accent
  19. He's got to be taking the fucking piss!!!! Much worse then Christian Gross's train ticket speech.. much much worse! Unless he really is on a wind up then its class and the mans a comic genius
  20. by 'do such a thing' do you mean play him in midfield? By do such a thing I mean buy a class defender (which we need to begin with) to play in midfield yes.
  21. I don't think its true, to be clear its the idea that we'd do such a thing that's ludicrous.
  22. By the way, I thought Gutierrez couldn't play in our first two friendlies, firstly because we didn't have his registration sorted and secondly because Mallorca wouldn't give him the go ahead to play without the registration they still held at the time. So if people are still claiming his registration isn't sorted then what's changed now to allow him to play in our friendlies?
  23. Seems ludicrous to me to buy a player many consider to be a world class central defender and shoe horn him into defensive midfield... Buy a fucking defensive midfielder if you want a defensive midfielder!
  24. Does that post have a point Mrmojo? Because it seems to have absolutely nothing at all to do with my post
  25. May not be able to play according to who? Your imagination? So what if it took a couple of weeks more then expected to complete the signing of Gutierrez, I suppose that's not a price worth paying to sign a 26 year old current Argie international for £2 million? Yeah we should have just paid the £10 million his club valued him at so we could have played him against the likes of Doncaster and Hartlepool.. well worth the extra £8 million eh?
