  1. If Milner, Smith and Ameobi leave we'll have replacements, they won't be allowed to leave without at least one versatile striker coming in. Also remember there's a two week break coming soon. So while Martins is out for 3 weeks he'll only miss two more games.

    Thick as mince

Bet he outscores him this season, regardless. 'He' being? Wasn't much of a goal scorer in his last Premiership stint especially considering he played for a top side at the time. Still an improvement on Kenwyn Jones I suppose.
  3. Are you talking about Keegans comments on Owen? What's that got to do with signing new players..

    Wednesday's Agenda

I'm sure had we just paid the full £10 million for Gutierrez, added a few million to the fee's of Guthrie/Bassong and Coloccini and demanded that Zagreb take our £16 million even though Modric wasn't going to sign for us then everything would be rosey eh?, because our net spend would be healthy mackems.gif

    Jose Enrique

What's "someone like Enrique"? A good defender as opposed to a shit one? someone who can make the odd mistake (like taylor). N'Zogbia makes more defensive mistakes plus he's nowhere near as good a defender as Enrique..

    Coventry City (a)

I'm looking forward to watching that tbh. I imagine that Jonas & Milner will be swapped round. Nice to see N'Zogbia in midfield as he hasn't really played there under Keegan. I don't think we're guarenteed a result by any means, it'll be a good watch though. pretty much the exact team i would have wanted to see (enrique and bassong, with nzog on left wing) except for jonas, who i would have preffered to be rested. We can't afford to rest our best players with so many injuries man! We aren't Real Madrid..
  7. Disgusted if this is true! There is absolutely no reason for us not to be in for SWP, he's a world class winger with good prem experience and if he moves will have a major point to prove! Anybody who claims they dont rate mustn't have a very good memory, the lad was winning games on his own for city under KK! If SWP goes to everton for 9mil and we keep Milner after turning down a 7mil bid, I really will give up on football! No you won't. Besides, who's to say we're not in for him? Who's to say that he would prefer a move to the NE rather than Merseyside? Or that he is speaking to Everton and us and Everton was on his way up here? Aren't most of our deals done in London these days though? Hope I'm wrong, I'd like him here, he's a good player and could be very good, definitely not world class though
  8. He's hardly world class FFS..

    Andy Gray

Well I don't agree at all, but its pointless to keep arguing with each other
  10. Will be Everton I'd think.

Again, the replays had shown the ball had crossed the line long before Gray stopped looking. Also you keep ignoring what he said after it was proven the ball had gone in, which was the most damning part. Its amazing anyone could deny the bitterness and bias Gray showed in that moment, then again no opinion on the net ever really surprises me these days, no matter how bizarre. What did you expect him to say about the other goals?.. He's hardly going to try to claim they didn't cross the line or call them shit goals is he.. mackems.gif

    Andy Gray

I remember when we beat Manure 5:0 and he simply refused to accept that Peacocks header had crossed the line, going through replay after replay to try to find a way to show that it hadn't. Then when he finally had to accept it had crossed the line he changed tack and said that even though it had the ref couldn't possibly have been sure so he shouldn't have allowed it.. See this for example. Bullshit. It was no clear at all it had gone over from actual play, very natural reaction. Thought maybe the decision was wrong simply. When the replay finally came it at gone over they both just realised it was the right decision. I guess the fact he creamed himself over Ginola's goal, Ferdinand's and was always a Shearer soopafan counts for nothing too. First of all I didn't say anything about open play. Gray was looking at replays for most of the first half and couldn't accept it had gone over the line until he'd looked at every possible angle. The bloke was looking for the replay he could use to backup his opinion. When he didn't find it he didn't simply accept that it had gone over the line. He tried to change tack by saying that the ref shouldn't have given it because he couldn't possibly have known that it crossed the line. To be honest its really idiotic of you to try to argue about something you obviously can't remember. Try going back and watching the broadcast before talking bollocks yes?

  14. They have the cash to do it? You mean Abramovich has the cash to do it..
  15. Scholari said that Shevchenko was in his plans as well. Scholari not in control of ins and outs then?

    Spurs in crisis !

But Ramos is a tactical genius and a world renowned manager! mackems.gif
  17. Obviously they'll pick up a bit, otherwise they'd get relegated

    Spurs in crisis !

So a bumps guarenteed for next week as well then
  19. No doubt its down, but to know how much you have to look at these things. Compare same time of year and minus away allocation and then you can see how much we're down by (ignoring the attractiveness of the different opposition of course).
  20. 51,000+ the last two seasons. Against Bolton? First home game. What was Villa's allocation compared to Boltons today though?
  21. More like 5%, but whatever. Incidentally I'd have loved to go to the game today had I thought I'd be able to get a ticket.
  22. Don't most away teams bring a couple of thousand?
  23. Doesn't that article actually say they want to sign him, and think they will sign him, but only if Arshavin leaves? They haven't actually signed him yet have they?
