That's an argument I will never, ever understand. Towards the end of the Lambert reign, lots of our fans were calling for all sorts of fucking stupid stuff - "get Pulis in! He'll keep us up!" "Try to get Allardyce in", and whenever challenged, the answer was always "better than Lambert" Utterly meaningless, in that situation and in this one too. Almost everyone on here believes Carver is absolutely useless and hugely out of his depth. That alone means that "better than Carver" is a totally worthless justification. If Carver is as shit as he seems to be, how is being "better" than him a meaningful argument? Wouldn't it be possible to be better than Carver AND still be absolutely fucking hopeless? Why would anyone want that? Because the alternative might be Carver?

We actually don't have to get something this time though, luckily enough for the complete cowards and simpletons involved in our club.

That fat fucker talks complete bollocks.

50,000 empty seats would certainly get rid of Ashley, Sky and their lap dog media would make sure of that. We'd get a larger attendance in the Championship though, don't underestimate the draw of winning games.

Yey! We survived another season so we get a chance to survive another season again next year. Hurray!! Woop woop. Against the other option of "yay, we've been relegation so we get the chance to possibly come back up and then have the chance to survive again"? What do people want? Us to be a Championship club forever? With the squad we have, we're not going to be fighting for anything near the top 8 spots. I think people need to get realistic and realise this - it is going to take major improvements for this to happen. People have short memories, we were a Championship club not long ago - our club has been murdered under Ashley for years. We're not going to be magically fixed and healed the day he leaves. On this day, we are fighting relegation - forgive me if I am happy that we do. I think we would be magically healed if he leaves as long as whoever takes over isn't an evil piece of shit like Ashley. But relegation won't remove this cunt from the club.

Fuck off then. That doesn't just apply to you, that applies to everyone who wants us down. Do you seriously think it will get him to sell?, it didn't the last time, in fact it just tightened his grip on us, the same will happen again. I'm not supporting Ashley here, what the owners and the majority of the players deserve is relegation, but the fans don't. If this isn't your club and it's Sports Direct FC then fuck off, honestly, just fuck off talking about us, fuck off coming on message boards saying you want us to go down. If your like me and you support NUFC and want us to stay up because you know going down won't help, because one day you hope Ashley sells up or dies in order order for us to be released from his control, because you hope one day it just goes right and we win something. If thats you then you can't wish us to go down. People have a choice. 1. Wish we go down in some sort of faint hope that it teaches Ashley a lesson or serves him right. 2. Wish we stay up in the faint hope that something will happen to get us back to what we were in the future, because the fans don't deserve to see the club rot further. If you chose option 1 then fuck off now, and never come back, when NUFC do come back you don't. If you chose option 2 then no matter what happens on Sunday, if we fall or if we survive then you fight to get our club back, we stand together, in the Championship or in the Premier league, we target SD during the summer months, in the new season we ramp up our protests, we fight to get our club back, but we never hope that we lose. http://otbva.com/forum/images/smilies2/th_awalkerhuh.png He's 100% right though. Going down won't help, wanting us relegated is either stupidity or childish self indulgence. We all hate whats going on, but what exactly is the point of wanting to see us burn? It won't achieve a thing.

That said he did look like he just couldn't give a shit at Hull when I saw him. Didn't look like the player we saw here, then again Bruce did pretty much Pardew him right from the start.

Think I remember watching that game, Hull/Burnley. Seem to remember Ben Arfa basically being a right back.

They had no pressure on them against Man City, and they were embarrasing, didn't even bother to try. -

Expending the effort required to get into the box would help. -

No I think the fine was levied if they stayed up. They'll get a transfer ban now instead. -
Isn't Zoran Popovic the president of Partizan?

Not sure how a side fighting for their lives gets beaten at home by Burnley.

Stranger things have happened but realistically that point has probably made us safe and Lizard Lick can spend the rest of his life saying how his genius kept us up. He can say anything he wants. But nobody's going to be impressed that he kept us up, just, after taking over with us in mid table.

Austin going for the offside record.

Nonexistent defending.

Think a win would pretty much guarantee it rather than just a chance.

Lost their last two Spurs but they'll certainly have something to play for so..

Shouting on about being stupid when Taylor wasted that quick freekick. He's the fucking idiot leaving him on the pitch!

Anyway back to the match...

But he won't accept a buyout in the Championship man. You reckon he's going to accept £80-£100m for the club when he paid £250m? That is not going to happen, he could have a fucking gun at his head and he wouldn't do it. Our hopes of getting rid are slim to fuck all, but being sent down isn't one of them. The whole "he won't have the TV money and exposure anymore" is negated by the fact nobody in their right mind would buy us in that league.

Like going down would change anything. We don't know whether it would or not. We know staying up will mean a couple of singings in the summer, a new manager probably and most likely the end of any protests from the majority of fans until we're back in a relegation fight. And repeat. Less reason for anyone to want to buy us and less reason for Ashley to consider selling due to the massive reduction in value, no reason at all to sell. So he's got more reason to sell when we're in the PL and he's raking it in from advertising with a packed stadium? He's got more reason to sell if someone puts in a big offer, simple as that. He certainly would never ever consider selling for less than he paid, not a chance.

And repeat. Yeah we do, it wouldn't. Says you. What's more likely to get rid of Ashley? An angry fanbase and less exposure for SD or a PL team with a pacified fanbase getting global exposure for SD? Aye sure he'll just decide to right off hundreds of millions by selling at a massive loss like, he'll just sit back and try to get back in the Premier League to get his exposure back. The only thing that will get rid of him is making things difficult for him and particularly Sports Direct until he decides its not worth it anymore and accepts a buyout. But the fucker is far to stubborn to accept less than he paid and in the Championship we'd be worth peanuts.

Basically our only hope is making like difficult for him and Sports Direct to the point where he decides he'll sell, but he'd still need to get a good offer and that won't happen in the Championship.

Perez shot was mis-hit? Fucking idiot.
