    Steve McClaren

I take it on the decline is Cisse? Don't think Perez is fucked off at all, he just had a bad game, can't be class all the time. Also have every confidence in Mitrovic, unproven or not.
  2. Carroll was free but we still ripped Liverpool's eyes out for him. We've let players go on the cheap in the past of course. But when they know they've got something special (which they don't always but I think they do with Perez) what they paid for him doesn't seem to come into it. Of course if they had any brains they'd do whatever it takes to keep him, at least for a while. The improvement and future potential he has is immense. Even from a purely monetary point of view (which is all they care about after all) holding on to him for a few more years makes absolute sense, even if it means a large wage raise in the meantime.

    Sunderland

We have started picking up some wins unlike Sunderland. Also compare our December games: Newcastle:- Liverpool (H) Tottenham (A) Aston Villa (H) Everton (H) West Brom (A) Sunderland:- Arsenal (A) Watford (H) Chelsea (A) Man City (A) Liverpool (H) I'm sure Chelsea will have turned their form around by then as well.
  4. Lets not downplay what was an excellent performance. Still hate the cunt but he played well, some really good saves. Most saves are pretty basic in action, all about anticipating where the well will go and reacting quickly, which he did. Give the fucker a steak bake for the save at the near post

    Florian Thauvin

He kept possession much better than the rest of them. Either found a quick accurate pass or drew a free kick.

    Rolando Aarons

    Shut up man, seriously.
  7. Aye but to be fair for the majority of that time we had a shaved gorilla in charge.
  8. Ben Arfa didn't run much in a match for Hull once? Well that's changed my mind on the lad completely. I was basing my opinion on watching him play 60-70 times but obviously a stat some fat loser trotted out at a talk in once is much more relivent.

    Sunderland

Not sure how reliable Adzuna are like or exactly where Newcastle features but its not in the top 10 so I'll gladly laugh at Sunderland, and Hull while I'm at it
  10. Until he gets real game time and fitness its impossible to judge whether he has what it takes for this league IMO. No doubt he isn't quick or particularly mobile, that's something we all knew before he arrived. But its also quite possible that's being exasperated by his lack of match fitness.

    Sunderland

Wow, Allardyce has really shored Sunderland up defensively

    Sunderland

I thought we were bad defensively, this lot are amazingly bad.

    Sunderland

As if the derby result was any indication of either sides quality.. We aren't good, but this lot are horrendous. I said it at the time, but unlike past seasons where they've played well against us and kickstarted their season the new manager hasn't improved them this time. They were just as bad as ever against us and somehow fluked a result, but the performance was shocking and without the luck they'll lose 99 times out of 100 playing like that.
  14. Fucking hell, couldn't make it any clearer that he's Pardews butt boy.
  15. You're comparing slow to slightly slower as if that makes a bit of difference when one player has some talent and the other is completely useless. Colback could have Bellamy's pace but he'd still be dog shit.
  16. To be fair I think his ego would force him to take it, even though deep down he knows it'd be a horrendous move. Also excellent article above

Don't they want the best manager in the league?, John Carver..

    Florian Thauvin

You recall wrongly then, he went past shaw and he pulled him down, he even got a yellow for it. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/newcastle-united-new-boy-watch-9910795

    Florian Thauvin

Was that the time said man caught up with him immediately after then dispossessed him? Err no.. It was against Man Utd surely, when he beat Shaw who then had to pull him down as he went past him.
  20. One word, Obertan This fuckers came on and was everything we didn't need. Lazy, ball watching prick.
  21. Of course he didn't walk, he was bought by Crystal Palace, had they not come in he'd still be here. Which doesn't even bare thinking about
  22. No of course not. Pardew-ball was shit and bad football. So far SMC-ball is aimless and also bad football. Good football = getting into attacking positions and creating chances. Yes at the moment it isn't good Football, again that's why I said "trying" to play not playing. At least it appears that's the aim, its an attempt to play good Football which currently isn't working. The shit we played under Pardew wasn't a failed attempt to play good stuff, it was a successful attempt to play utter shit.
  23. End result meaning scoring goals and not conceding. Or more accurately looking likely to score goals (creating chances) or looking less likely to concede (stopping chances at our end). That to me is the end result. Increasing / decreasing the quality of chances. Good football to me is a team that creates chances. That's positivity. That's trying to play good football. I haven't seen any improvement in this area, we are arguably worse in this regard than under Pardew. You're basically saying that if you create chances in a game and don't concede goals then that means you've played good Football. That's not in the slightest what I mean when I say good Football. I mean do you sit and watch a game and see some lad smash the ball out of defence, the defender clear it poorly and a striker scramble it into the net and say "Now that's good Football"?
