  1. We're braced to deal with th departure of Tiote Fucking hell, brace yourself for possession, brace yourself for not giving the opposition 10 extra chances per game.

the lad started out suggesting there are reasons other than ability he's not been offered PL jobs, you then cited gary megson as an example of why this isn't correct and that he's not getting jobs because he's not very good Gary Megson is an example of the shit managers who get appointed each year in the Premier League to absolutely no fan revolt of any kind. Yet to say that McClaren hasn't been employed as a PL manager for almost a decade is solely because fans wouldn't accept him post-England? Guff. It's an absurd suggestion and it should've been very clear what I meant. Thanks for making me waste my time reiterating it again. Theirs a definite stigma with Mclaren, quite diffenrent to Gary Megson who is simply a non entity.

Pardew was given a lot of time and a lot of good international players. I think the received wisdom that no good manager would want the job is not true. A lot of managers would have envied Pardew's privileged position. What you mean working for peanuts?, defending Ashley to the hilt,? having no say on transfers? and also what you are forgetting is once we had injuries to our "purples" the squad was so wafer thin that we had no decent replacements, and at times it was the same when players were sold and not replaced. So therefore the majority of managers would definitely not envy Pardew's position because as soon as we got a few injuries or suspensions he was basically hung out to dry, while Ashley soaked up the rays in Barbados. I cannot foresee any manager worth his salt agreeing to work under Ashley and Charnley, I will believe it only when I see Shteeve holding a toon top in the SDA, (and speaking in a half dutch half geordie accent) You mean like when Cabaye was sold and we had no replacement so Pardew played Gosling? Except we had Ben Arfa and Marveaux sitting on the bench.. Don't make excuses for that clown, Ashley is an evil cunt but Pardew fucked himself again and again with his absolute incompetence and the reason he licked up to Ashley and made so many excuses for him was simply because he was desperate to keep a job that was way above his level.

Doesn't look like we'll be ending the season mid table though, more likely 2 or 3 places above the relegation zone.
  5. To be honest Santon hasn't even looked good for Inter when I've seen him, never really rated the lad.
  6. The problem is this forum is incredibly hostile to ideas that break with the status quo opinions of a few key posters, and for a good while any post even lightly in favour of pardew on here gets met with a torrent of abuse, and usually completely miss the original point the poster was trying to make. All this talk of TCD being a 'Pardew supporter' when all he's been saying is that the job Pardew did wasn't terrible (it wasn't) and that his time here is a symptom of a much bigger issue that sacking him will do nothing to change (it won't) is ridiculous. I've experienced this as well when even trying to point this out puts you in the line for a torrent of abuse and you just think end up thinking whats the bloody point. Fuck off!!
  7. http://i.imgur.com/VDjowbk.gif What they mean is they plan to sell 60m worth of talent I don't think we have 60m worth of talent in the squad. Nah we do like..
  8. http://i.imgur.com/VDjowbk.gif Wouldn't surprise me if we do spend £60m or so, probably sell around £20m as well though

Hardly the same thing given the clubs both won trophies with.
  10. If he keeps this up for a couple of seasons I'd believe he's done a good job, so far its nothing more than the new manager bounce IMO. Also if this is the Palace version of our fifth place finish then he'll have them relegated next season.
  11. Journo I know at the Liverpool Echo (who's actually on the Everton beat) confirms that Liverpool have made contact with NUFC with regard to Janmaat. Younger and better than Debuchy, will take 13 million £7m would probably do it, to offset the £1.8m wasted on Riviere..! Course it wouldn't. He's on a long term contract, we'll likely be looking for something around £15m.
  12. Even with 13 fit players he'll manage to leave Cabella and Perez on the bench.
  13. Of course he can/will He'll class today as another "free" game so it doesn't really count. Luckily what he thinks means very little to anyone.
  14. He'd have done even worse here if he'd had a major say in what players came in.

In a way like, yet they're still down below us every season so they can't be that well run.

    Sunderland

Think that would be the lowest points total a team has survived on (?) so it's very unlikely to be enough. Also to be honest Burnley look much more capable of winning games than Sunderland.
  17. Thought it would be pretty obvious, given the context, that by outside Newcastle I was referring to none Newcastle fans.
  18. This is wrong. And you're the clueless one. Objectively, he's doing a good job at Palace. That is undeniable. Any less belies a lack of common sense or intelligence. Before he joined they where bottom 3 or 4, few points from the drop. That would've cost them 20m+ if they got relegated. He's kept them up, it's been money well spent. Keep them up next year, would also be a big achievement for the club. Even if they struggle the next season he would've been a good appointment for them. And clearly he's a better manager than John Carver man. Plenty of straw man crap there, even for you. And aye, you are clueless, you've shown that consistently for a long time. You just go against conventional wisdom hoping that something will stick and you'll be seen as some sort of oracle, when in fact you're just a s*** Ronaldo. To be honest, most of the people outside Newcastle would agree with that view. Face it KI. It is a good move for both Palace and Pardew. Bringing in a new manager was a good move, making that new manager Pardew (for £3.5m no less) will end in tears and won't be a good move in the long run. Don't give a shit what anyone outside of Newcastle thinks, they haven't got a clue what he's like.

They aren't getting Remi Garde ffs, this is Sunderland we're talking about here
  20. We've earned 5 points since he's left. Palace have earned at least 10 in that period. Pardew in the long-term is a very average PL manager. But he's doing way better with that side than a decent Championship manager in Warnock. I don't even think Carver could do a job in the Championship. He's awful. No redeemigmn abilities. Not really. I see absolutely no discernible difference between the two of them whatsoever. 9 points from 10 games since the last game he was involved in for us (Everton). A bit worse than Pardews average for the season for us. Carver is even worse than Pardew at getting results, but not by that much IMO and I'm still very happy he's gone.

    Sunderland

34 points is the lowest any teams ever survived on I think, so they'll need at least 8 more points, realistically 10.
  22. Bringing in Pardew was a great move by Parish. Evidently. So far, like I said he now needs to get out while the goings good.
  23. Did really well until he brought in a narcissistic fraud. Though if he sells quick before things go to shit I suppose it could still be a shrewd move overall for him personally.
  24. Apparently not. If we go there and play half way decent we should win, but we'll probably see Gouffran and Ameobi either side of Riveiere up front and the glorious return of Jack Colback instead.
