    Chris Hughton

Presumably why Llambias and Ashley sacked him.

The best new manager this club's had since SBR. The fools have disgraced themselves and will only lose more of their money.

    Sol Campbell

I don't respect this place enough, was expecting to come on here and be controversial when I said he was no good. He was pretty excellent against Chelsea, though - I can see him being good against slower build-up style teams and worse when stretched due, as has been said, to his agility I suppose. Maybe Collocini playing a more intelligent version of Taylor's mad-arsed role could see Campbell play better in these kinds of matches.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I can see Ben Arfa's future being not dissimilar to his past - a floating position within the team, put where he's needed when he's needed (replacing any one of Jonas (when more quality's needed), Ameobi (obvious enough), Barton (when more attacking directness is required) or Nolan (guy needs a rest, sometimes...)) and withdrawn when he sometimes isn't. Not sure how he'll like that... But if he's maturing, which is plausible, his overall qualities might improve and negate the others' advantages meaning he can play more (tracking back, consistency etc.), and/or he might buy into our musketeer routine and appreciate the team's success and what role he has in it, so it could work out. Either that or... Reinvent the 3-5-2..? Willoccini+Enrique, Enrique drifting left to assist Jonas' semi-wingback duties while Barton is entrusted even more with his measured wingback role, as was particularly the case at Arsenal (his tenacity and medium-long passing skills brought to the fore ahead of his lack of pace/trickery). Meanwhile, Tiote squeezes all the wanker 4-1-3-2 formations, and Nolan and Ben Arfa develop an understanding and do what they see fit in defence and attack... the latter probably more often drifting wide when attacking to make up for our reduced wing presence. And still got both the blunderbusses up front to wreck havoc, pressing from the front - one or the other also floating back and forth, switching positions with Nolan and/or Ben Arfa as has already been happening lately (we haven't really been playing a 4-4-2 lately by conventional standards). Thing with unconventional tactics is they need great team spirit, communication, organisation and a certain amount of intelligence to be successfully implemented... which we actually have. Well, there isn't enough creative thought in the world sometimes...

hahahahahaha! Fuck off you! You of all people.
  6. Could see England skipping corrupt dog-features and going for Hughton...
  7. Supporter. Doesn't matter what it used to refer to, fan mean's hat-wearing children to me now.
  8. And Nolan. For years, England and Newcastle have been synonomous with squads of gutless tossers. Nolan helped change that with us, I reckon he could do it for his country too and is worth a spot in the 22. Would back him to come on and win the game against any team in the world ahead of someone like Milner in the last 15 minutes of a deadlocked quarter final, too...
  9. tbf it's very easy to say that now To be fair, they've said it repeatedly all season that they believe all games are to be won.
  10. Looks like he's frightening a trick or treating 8 year old off his front garden
  11. No messing around. That said, if one of them happened to get injured, it would be interesting to see what Campbell did. But no unnecessary messing, central defenders generally live and breathe as a unit.

Imagine there's a nelson ha ha picture here. Comolli was a dead weight on Tottenham, I hope he hasn't retired from politics since he left them.

  15. I know you've been working out but come on. The guy's 21 years old. Wow.
  16. Played his part. Not a day for criticism, but I can definitely say he played his part in today. And only his second proper game back after a major injury, too.
  17. IF... there's any truth in that... The club are already on record saying they will only appoint from within. Maybe they aren't holding rigidly to that line but it was a daft thing to say in that case. I remember them talking in general terms about appointing from within. I don't remember them saying they would ONLY do that. The actual statement was 'The Board will concentrate on Newcastle United's stability by promoting from within where possible.'. Was wondering where that had been coming from.
  18. Horrible to think Hughton might get sacked one day. I mean, like the way most managers get sacked. Would be Bobbyesque.

Why stop at just his legs? http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/1838/sledgehammerz.jpg It's for your own good son.
  20. That quote and something else I recall him saying (but helpfully can't remember what) make me definitely think there are political machinations going on at the moment. It's just not the sort of thing he'd ordinarily say, partly because he wouldn't need to say it - he doesn't really say things if they don't serve a purpose. So I'm inclined to think he's said that to try and block an internal appointment, make it harder for something to happen against his will. Big leap of logic some will say I know... but fuck it, that's my suspicion.
  21. Piss off you drag act. Woolnough, that is.
