Aye the horseshoe effect looks the best, and is actually planning permission viable. Could put some kind of poncy architectual arch in between or something. Or have it spanned by a huge statue of Shearer, legs akimbo. A Colossus, I like it

He didn't want what little neck he had covered up. In all seriousness

Ah, but that's all coming back in, now. They could be considered trend-setters. Stand still long enough the world will catch up with you. I'm already planning to make a fortune on a job lot of t-shirts with emoticons on them.

Nah, Parker's.

always makes himself available for a pass too, and does the little things like shifting the ball to areas where we have more players, or away from the opposition, rather than putting his foot on the ball, looking up, feigning to pass, spinning round, spinning round again, spinning round one more time, spinning round yet again, pass back to the keeper.

Well Ive noticed a remarkable thing. You english lads only make riots in other countries. In you own country you can walk along with the opponent ( most of the time), In Holland the hooligans demolish there own cities. And when abroad were the most friendly country in the world. Like Feyenoord fans in France recently and consequently getting thrown out the UEFA Cup? The French don't count. Who wants to be friendly with them?

Butt and Emre. Yes, I think he's quite a big loss. That's not to say he's undroppable, I wouldn't be averse to selling him if I thought our manager could go out and find a suitable replacement, but he's got the greatest amount of attacking intelligence of all our central midfielders and we miss him at this time. Putting aside today's showing, Butt has been fine this season but he's not there to play through-balls. I'm in the anti-Parker camp and don't think he's adequate in any area of the game. Dyer, meanwhile, has been far more productive when played further up the pitch since his return. Emre, therefore, is the man who should be joining both halves of our game together (along with Nobby at right-back and our brilliant new left-back, whoever he may be, but those are other matters...).

Same here. We really should've taken Spurs up on that offer if it was as good as I heard. He's a drag on the whole team.

Good to have a player who looks like he can handle himself...

All in here, lads.

I've posted the bloody article. Check every news channel just in case you think i've sat down and made a whole article up. Fourth guideline - http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=19169.0 Don't make me post that link again

Maybe it is that bloke who came on here a little while back? Might've been practising his pen on us...
-
I'm sure most of his comments are perfectly valid, and he may even have a point in the above section with regards to keeping the players limber for the match, but it doesn't stop me laughing at it. Maybe some swaddling would help, too

Smoke is drastically over-rated...

But luque agreed to be paid less meaning we weren't picking up the remaining, thats what i heard anyway. Were not going to play him this season, so we might as well had the financial break (£800k) for 5months. The guy is clueless. No thats what you read on a speculative shite website. If opinion is masquerading as fact in the post-window depression then why not this version. PSV approach us for Luque but wont pay half his wages, freddy tells them no, Luque wants to go. PSV think, lets wait untill one day before window closes when their arses are going as no one has come in for him and ask again. They offer the same deal hoping that we are desperate enough for him to go. That is the sort of game you can play if, like PSV, you arent crying out desperately for someone but fancy them as a useful addition to the squad. They come back with same offer, Luque is pleading to be let go and Freddy obstructs the deal because PSV are taking the piss. Any other explanation is just pejorative bollocks. http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~974115,00.html How that interplays with Shepherd's supposed obstruction, I don't know - I haven't read the statement. But it does mean a deal was agreed with all parties (as far as Roeder was aware, anyway) subject to our obtaining a replacement - something we ultimately failed to achieve.

Anyone know why Shearer's testimonial was against Celtic? I reckon it would've been better to have one half against an old England XI and the second against a Newcastle Legends XI.
-
Hope so. But it was brought in to get us in line with other European clubs as they had windows. Basically if its to dissapear it will have to across Europe, something i doubt they'll take lightly. I think the original premise was related to this able to break a contract after 3 years business. The idea being the windows were a compromise to ensure some order. I always suspected it was as much to do with your point, though.

Just delete that quote and everything will be hunky dory. Edit: Hurrah for Phil

Terrible. Get rid. Not exactly in a position to elaborate on that, at this time

Edit: What am I saying?! Ignore me.

Dyer - "ya'll", "ass" - oh dear. Sounds real to me. Ameobi - Income £60k to £75k. Now, I know loads of you think he's totally useless, but you have to admit he's getting short-changed at less than one and a half grand a week

No, it's Souness! Run for your lives! If ever a comment proved the free-marketeers' claim that foreign businessmen are no more ruthless, incompetent or generally threatening to the British economy than our home grown, then this is it.

Too busy complaining about you being in charge, Matey.
