  1. given 5 - Yet again, playing behind two banks of fucking muppets carr 4 - Poor, back to his traditional performances after 3 decent ones. taylor 4 - Not impressive cacapa 3 - Made a few good tackles to get out of problems his poor play had caused. Lucky not to get punished more. n'zogbia 3 - Raped by Arsenal first half, marginally less bad second half. Second half "attacking" run summed up his evening. milner 4 - Not good, better in the second half when the ball spent some time on the right. butt 5 - Effectively on his own in what he was trying to do. At least broke SOME moves up. rozenthal 3 - Fuck off. duff 4 - Not a world class player, 2001 was a LONG time ago. owen 3 - For fucks sake, he's not a novice! Shoudl know how to play onside. Not a captain. smith 3 - This is a bad footballer. We have seen, this season, why SAF was happy to get rid. barton 5 - Meh, neither particularly good, nor as bad as some of theothers. ameobi 4 - You, my gangly friend, are shite. Please God, can we not sell this man to a Championship club where he can be amongst his own. Keegan - 4. Got to feel for him with the inadequate first team and poor squad he inherited, but is going to have to be GREAT to fix us. Wise - 9. Lovely tie knot, very MOTD. Mort - 1. Creepy.
  2. Right, i get slated for being a negative cunt, etc, but come on! Jesus.... 1) barton was not "really good", unless your idea of what is good has been permanently damaged by watching Smith and Rozenhal play. 2) Our passing play was good, was it? Did you see Asrenals passing?? THAT was good passing. 3) If our passing was so good, how many shots on targets (or even CHANCES for shots on target) did it create? 4) You are confident that we'll end up in the top half. We are 6 points behind 10th, who are a better team than us, and have 2 games in hand, and TEN points behind 9th, who have a game in hand. What exactly is your confidence based on? Because as far as I can see, WITH the African players we have 3/4 of a decent (and no more at this point) defence, a weak midfield and a poor front line. WITHOUT them, its all of the above, minus the decent defence. I'm not saying we are going to get relegated - Derby, Fulham etc will make sure of that for us. But please, please, take of the black and white tinted glasses, and try to see us with some objectivity. We're NOT a good side, the so-called class players (Barton, Smith, Viduka) are miles from that, and unless we do something drastic EARLY in summer, the other clubs (who are making forward steps all the time) will move further beyond us. We used to think we were a big club like Man Utd, Liverpool etc. We weren't, really, but we thought we were. Then we thought we were the biggest and best of the "second tier" - us, Villa, Spurs, etc. We aren't that, either. we're 13 points behind the bitter Blues (who have a game in hand), 14 behind Villa, 15 behind Everton (who have a manager some cretins were vocally against us getting). These teams are better than us - their players are better than ours, and their managers have been better than ours. We need to fucking sort ourselves out just to keep up with those clubs. And we need to stop the fucking pathetic idea that anyone who plays/works for us is by default "great".
  3. Ameobi is - by a small margin - a worse player, but neither are ANYWHERE NEAR good enough for a top 6/7 side.
  4. The Wise thing - comical. Fucking comical. Once again, we contrive to make ourselves look fucking stupid. Yay us.
  5. It is certainly starting to feel like a circus Only to us as we are looking at it so emotionally. To Mort, he is just bringing in the people he thinks can do the job. Whether Wise can or cant remains to be seen but Mort has to make decisions detatched from all that. Feeling will sharp change if the team/club improve. We really have to stop being so small minded. I'm not sure how it small minded to question the decision to bring in someone at DOF who has no experience at DOF? Granted I am assuming that it is DOF and this may be wrong so perhaps I should wait and see but it really is a random choice from a man who has no football experience. Small minded to quesiton the judgement of a man who has no football experience, in employing a man who has no experience of the role he is believed to have been given. Well, at least we know we're not trying to be "everyone's favourite 2nd club" now. Oh, and well done to all of those who will now try to spin this into a positive thing, because we are NUFC, and evreything we do is great.
  6. A couple of decent games for Carr isn;t going to gloss over the fact that he has proven incapable in the vast majority of games he has played. If he proves me wrong, all the better, but i don't expect his "good" (i.e. not a shit as he used to be) form to continue too long, if i'm brutally honest. Enrique is going to be interesting, but its too early to say whether he'll be good enough or not (not helped by the fact that fucking Allardyce chose not to play him), but time will tell. I don't have an awful lot of time for Cacapa. You don't go from being captain to only playing a handful of games in one season by getting better, and he has looked very dubious most times i've seen him. Not like a Bramble or Boumsong, but not good enough. Rozenhal has been found out, for me. lightweight, ineffectual and clueless - three words i'd cast freely at him. HOWEVER, compared to recent years, our defence is far better, and now that we have a better manager than Allardyce, and therefore better tactics, i expect them to (a) play together, and (b) grow as a unit. I like Beye, Taylor, Faye and Enrique (with earlier-mentioned caveats) as a group, and genuinely hope they get time to prove themselves good enough. If they prove they are NOT, then I fully expect them to be criticised and dropped. If we are to be positive and not a complete negative cunt (moi?), then we also have to be honest when players are NOT good enough - and move away from the fallacy that signing or NUFC suddenly makes you great. It doesn't, and there is a trail of broken players behind us that prove it. Would not argue with any of that. spoil sport.
  7. FPMSL Not sure what FPMSL means but I hope it means what a load of drivel, or words to that effect. Fucking Piss Myself Laughing. And yes, at the drivel above. One of the best defences personnel wise in the country Only if that country is Andorra. Typical NM. Making ridiculas attempts at insulting people without any clever arguement or facts. Using words like Drivel to strengthen your arguement because you think you sound like an experianced, knowledgeable, hard, newcastle fan. How about you get your head out your own arse and put up some simple arguement. I don't care that you disagree. It's the fact you wander through this forum making bullshit negative comments without any sort of substance. If you disagree with what i have said then by all means say but please dont act like a complete cunt 24/7 because its boring. Expand...................................... I disagree with what you are saying about our defence. I cannot see how anyone can state that Carr, Cacapa, Enrique and Rozenhal are amongst "the best" personell in the league. Frankly, i don't think any of our defenders are in that bracket, but at least Taylor, Beye and Faye have shown the ability to do well for us, to varying degrees. If I am to be slated for "making bullshit negative comments without any sort of substance", then you should be held to task for making farcical positive statements based on no genuine substance. Oh, and if me being "a cunt 24/7" bores you - good. Wey hey, you do no how to argue. I can quite happily except being wrong because i am by no means "my opinions the only opinion" type of person. Why you couldn't have said something along those lines in the first place i don't know, instead of FPMSL. Anyway back to topic, fair do's maybe i went over bored with my positivity. However, i believe that with those players i mentioned in the squad we would at least have a european standard defence, if compared to the likes of Blackburn, Man city etc. Certainly far from a laughing stock. I believe our defensive problems are not to do with personell but more down to consistancy, communication, poor cover and teamwork. I think some of the problems between Faye/Taylor/Beye/Enrique (especially Faye and Enrique/Taylor) are definately about communictaion, and a general understanding of each other's style of play, strengths and weaknesses etc. Faye has notably been getting caught out of position a fair bit - not in a Titus Bramble "I have fuck all idea where I am, or what i am doing" way, but more in a "whops i seem to be standing here on my own" type of way. But those issues will come with a good run of games, better training, and a midfield in front of them not staffed by retards. If we had backup defenders of the quality of Beye, Faye and Taylor (or in some cases better, and soem of those 3 were the backup), then yes, i think we'd have a defence that would hold its own at 6th/7th. Enrique is an enigma, as he has shown some glimpses of being pretty good, and equally some worrying traits. Time will tell on which side of the fence he falls. However, i think that even as backup (and bearing in mind that injuries/suspensions/loss of form/etc WILL take their toll on our "first" back 4), Carr, Rozenhal and Cacapa aren't for me, good enough to step into the breach and do sufficiently well. Neither Taylor nor Faye, at the moment, appear able of carrying the likes of Rozenhal or the random Cacapa, for example, and they would need carrying i think. I think there is a difference between being good enough, and not being a laughing stock, and outside of a relatively ok (certainly 6/7th at the moment) first defensive line-up, I don't think we are good enough defensively to play at that level over the course of a season with current personnel. I agree with nearly all of that but i think Carr's improved massively under Keegan and at least looks a competant prem RB and Cacapa's capable too. I don't particularly rate Rozehnal but have hopes for Enrique. 8. Do you not think his rash tackling might be a weakness there? Not much more than his inability to read the game or make a decent pass, really. Just like Taylor then Nah, Taylor can read the game. He's just a slow reader.

  10. We'd have beaten Man Utd, because we are ace!!!11!
  11. I said before the Cup game something like that we'd get beat gracefully (and i think our first half performance was ok, granted against a sub-standard Arsenal performance), then get humped on Tuesday. I stand by this.

  15. Oh, look, another pile of s****. Reading back through this thread is f****** hilarious. In all fairness the Beeb and other sources were claiming a deal between us and Woodgate was virtually a done deal. Yup, so the "ITK's" read The Sun. listen to Talk Fucking Sport, and then pretend they have an inside scoop. Fucking hilarious when it turns out they knew sod all, all along.
  16. Oh, look, another pile of shite. Reading back through this thread is fucking hilarious.
  17. Rumour has it he's doing a Craig Moore, lashing it up all the time, and effectively telling Southgate to fuck off. By all accounts the wrong-faced Boro manager is properly fed up with him, and can't wait till he's away.
  18. Shit - fuck him off ASAP, and get what we can. Can't see anyone being as stupid as we were, do getting our money back is probably a non starter.
  19. We've already signed Woodgate, 5 days ago. Nobby said so, and HE'S in the know, so it must be true.
  20. Same as Old Trafford. Did you watch the two games at all? What were the positives from the first half at Old Trafford? Apart from the peverse joy to be gained at watching Rooney miss sitters. Yep, I was there. Were you? No. But if you can't take any more positives out of this than Old Trafford I worry. Just wonder when the Keegan blinkers are going to come off. No-one's claiming it was a world cup winning performance here. It's just plain as could be that in the first half we created more chances than we had in a month under Allardyce. Lehmann was actually forced to make saves. We played the ball out from the back instead of just hoofing it straight back to them. Our wingers actually got past their men and put crosses in. At times we strung together over ten passes in a row. That is an improvement. The end was rubbish, no doubt, but when you look at the subs bench for both sides that isn't so surprising. We were ok in the first half, rubbish in the second. SO it was one okay half better than under Allardyce. Woo hoo.
  21. On the other hand, Caçapa had a very good game imo. Infact, him and Carr were the only two players to have equally as good first halves as second halves, imo. Butt Carr was poor. And Cacapa was "very good"? You just listened on the radio, didn;'t you.
  22. In the centre-midfield, where he's gash. Sooner he's out on the left and Duff's on the right the better. Duff had a very good first half, his movement was brilliant tbh and he was very dangerous - when have we had our wingers rushing to the byline and cutting it back like he did today? He wasn't in it in the second half but only really cos Jose was playing long-balls whenever he had the ball. Milner was just pretty incompetent in general really. He really is painfully slow. How quick you forget.
  23. Its ok, an "ITK" says it happened 4 days ago, so that can't be true, can it.
