  1. Wrong. He will be a huge liability because (a) He's shit (b) He'll attract more cards, putting pressure on the rest of the team. Yet another Allardyce fuck up, biting us firmly on the arse.
  2. You don't think Faye was his choice? Or any of the other 8 he brought in?
  3. Please also be aware of the Unofficial Forum Rule, which is that it is not allowed to point out that the whole Keegan as manager thing is The Emperors New Clothes.
  4. You think he was good for those entire two games?
  5. Swap Taylor with Cacapa and at the moment I'd probably go for that. Actually thinking about it I don't want to commit right now. Cacapa has been poor. Unless you are basing your opinion solely on the fact that anything Keegan says, you believe? I'm basing my opinion on what I've witnessed this season, and you may believe Cacapa has been poor, I believe Taylor has been worse. Interesting, that. I think Cacapa has been very disappointing, although i have not been surprised that he lost the captaincy at his last club. I think Taylor has not been great this season (i think he can becoem a really good player, but he's clearly nowhere near yet), but i genuinely feel Cacapa has been poor.
  6. He's played less than a dozen games, but he's our best. Right.
  7. I love KK, he's a legend. But i also try to look at things rationally, and i genuinely can't see the raitonale for his appointment, other than as a sop to the fans anger/chanting for Shearer. I AM behind the club, but i do not feel that necessitates blind loyalty - it woudl do the club, staff, players and ourselves a massive diservice if we were to act that everything was perfect and great no matter what the reality. We're better than that, and we deserve honesty. Its a good job your putting the boot in to the board and manager then to stop the rest of us thinking everything is perfect and great. Doug. ooh, sarcasm. Well done.
  8. I was watching yesterday's matches closely for precisely this reason. I wanted to see if other teams gave up the ball when being pressed and the answer is they don't. Chelsea and Man U in particular either passed the ball before anyone got near them (often one touch) or they shielded the ball until an option became available, which they quckly did as there was so much movement off the ball. Our players, in contrast, pass it then stand still, only too relieved to have got rid of the ball. A more sorry bunch of losers it would be hard to assemble. Even the teams that some on here would (incorrectly) view as "beneath" us do passing and movement better than us. Its a worry.

  10. What you notice if you watch the town and then watch another team (not AGAINST us, as it seems a gioven that we make other teams look good), is that other teams - not just the big clubs, even average clubs like us - pass the ball far, far better than us. PAssing and movement is awful in our side, and has been for ages.
  11. Wonder what the feeling is now. Interested. Tney failed in the first test, by keeping Fat Sam when they bought the club. Then they moved to limit the damage by getting rid of the useless fat c***. Then they made an appointment that seems to have been based on a populist policy of supporter-appeasement, rather than a sound business case, and potentially f***** it up again. I dont think its their fault.Because Sam had just come at that time. You cant fire the manager without trying. Not many people could predict the state we are suffering. You buy a business, you should have an idea who you want it run by, and how you want it run. You can't help but get the impression that their naivete about football led to them allowing the status quo to be maintained, until they'd finally realised what a cretin Fat Sam was.
  12. Almost all media stuff from managers etc is bollocks, though. Only stupid fans actually believe it.
  13. Alan Smith - it was bound to be a disaster when he came. I hope the apologists who claimed he was a useful player when he came - even making shit up about Man Utd fans thinking he was good, and SAF not wanting him to leave - have actually been to a game and seen this cunt "play". Half a decent game against Arsenal, and one won penalty? Fuck off, "Smudger".

Then they made an appointment that seems to have been based on a populist policy of supporter-appeasement, rather than a sound business case, and potentially fucked it up again. I still don't get the feeling that MA is engaging with the club in the correct way. Behind the scenes organisation is better a la Mort no doubts. I would love to know to whom the idea of Dennis Wise and his southern plas joinging the Board seemed like a cracker, for one. Ashley is trying to do what he did to make his fortune - giving the people what he thinks they want. Thing is, he only looked at a high level ("they are chanting for Shearer, a toon legend. So i'll give them a toon legend"). The fact that the toon legend in question was incapable of operating at the club last time by the end, and has only left one club since with much of his reputation in tact, seemed to pass MA by - he went for the biggest, most populist shock he could. And now I think we are suffering. The buzz of the KK return was undeniable. The genuine benefit to us is questionable.
  15. Free market. And the hijakers were free to do that. And the world keeps turning.

  17. Taylor has been better than Cacapa, every time they've played together, including this weekend. I have no idea why so many people seem to be fooled by Cacapa. And please god don't use the myth of the Lyon captaincy making him good.

  19. Right, so you want us to be "sowing our support for the team". Why, might I ask, should we do this vocally, despite thier playing shit? We support the CLUB (for a variety of valid and less so reasons). Not the specific players who run out. The Club. Why on earth should we cheer for players who are not playng well - indeed, in some cases who are a fucking disgrace - instead of showing them our true feelings? Since when does pulling on our jersey make a player untouchale, no matter how unworthy he is. Soem of the same ones saying don't show discontent will be the same ones who said give Souness more time, Roeder needs time, yadda yadda. All apologist, pathetic shite. We're fucking newcastle united, we shouldn' let players, managers or boards get away with turning out crap. We've been making apologies for these cunts for too long. I wouldn't[.b] do it during a game, but at the end EVERY fan has the right to voice their displeasure if they see fit. And anyone who says they do not, cannot or should not is a fucking idiot who is talking way beyond the level of their authority. If the players don't do THEIR bit, same as the manager, board or fans, they can fuck off, and supportsers have every right to let them know so.
  20. If KEegan DOES play the likes of Geremi for more than a game or s, he'll lose even more respect.

    Keegan is

He might base it on what Keegan did to our form when he was here last time, he might base it on the transfer record of Keegan when last here. He might base it on the way we've tried to play recently and the fact that he'll (Keegan) have time during the next couple of weeks to work with the players, and get to know those who he's hardly been able to work with so far. So he's basing it on what a man who left 10 years ago did. There's at least as much evidence pointing the other way too.
  22. Geremi has been worse than "not great", in fairness.
  23. Northern Monkey

    Keegan is

That's the f****** past man. It's 2008, not 1992. You must be one of them then? If not then you must have a real short memory. What are you basing this expected upturn on?
