  1. The fears of Sam Allardyce lack of big club experience could well already be showing.

    :-[

Unbelievable. Give the bloke a chance.

He should of made it clear in the press conference keeping Michael Owen and building a team around him was something important to him comments of "its not all about Michael Owen" and "i will be asking him if he wants to stay or go" are not good enough for god sake Sam don't lose a World Class player before you have even had the chance to work with one.

Firstly, thats the fucking Sun, get a grip.

Secondly, it is important for us to have good players, naturally, but lets not pretend its "X player at any cost", cos thats bollocks. If Owen wants to stay and give it a go, fantastic, he's a top player. If not, fair do's get rid, and look to the future. Michael Owen is not the only striker in the world who will get us 15+ league goals a season.

Thirdly, Allardyce is goign to have to make a lot of decisions and see the back of a fair few players now, at Christmas and next summer. A lot of the so-called first team will have to be replaced, and if that has to include Owen, then at least Allardyce has been shown to know a decent footballer from a hole in his arse, and we have to trust him (until he proves otherwise, although hopefully he won't) in that he will get the players we need.

  2. We're not goign to be challenging for 4th next season, and to be honest, i think we'll not get into the UEFA places next year either by the end of the season.

    Disappointed in the appointment, really.

However, Allardyce should get all of our support, as he tries to prove himself. In my mind, it should only be a few months before his intentions are clear, hsi attitudes come out, and the existence or otherwise of a long-term plan, etc, is clear. After that point, we'll be able to see whether or not he deserves full support.

WOW that's some achievement already. 2 months grace of support from NM (although I'll believe it when I see it) before he's declared the worst manager in the league. Is that 2 months starting from now, or the start of the season?

Woudl you rather i declared that solely because he was manager of NUFC, he should get 100% support no matter what he did, or that he was GUARANTEED to get us to 4th next season?

Sorry for being realistic, like. Just a habit of mine. But you get down on your kneed and start sucking him off if thats the sort of thing you like. Me, i'll support the man and see how things go.

  4. Sibierski scored 8 goals this season. Give him a new 3 year contract. £80,000 a week.

Dyer is not good enough. I agree that some people on here have unrealistic expectations in the short term, and we definitely have players who are under performing but are good enough. Dyer is not one of them though. He has never done anything to justify all the hype he gets. All he has is pace. He might be good enough for a mid table team, but thats not where we want to be and thats exactly the reason Roeder is no longer our manager. If you don't want to be one of the teams who just make up the numbers in the Premiership then you have to get rid of the average players who don't perform and thats exactly what Dyer is.

Dyer is NOT an average player...Average players don't play for your national team...

    Hahahaahahahah!!!

    Emile Heskey, Phil Neville, Jenas......

  5. Not saying Shorey isn't better than what we've got, but yet again people on here (who don't even watch US that often) are talking abotu a player being top class, etc, having probably seen him twice.

Yet you feel you can comment on Samuel when you clearly havent seen him or if you have it was a number of years ago..

I was actually commenting on OUR players, who i have seen far too much of. We have amongst the worst defenders in the league. Therefore most options would be better.

Well that one isn't. In your opinion we only have one quality striker at the club and one with potential to be good yest Viduka isn't good enough for us. Yet Samuel obviously is because Babayaro is shit.

Do you just love the whole negativity thing so if we keep signing shit players you will have plenty to moan about?

We have NO good left backs. We have 2 decent (and better in one case) forwards - at the moment.

I don't personally think Viduka is any fucking good, but please feel free to continue calling for him - when he arrives and does fuck all, you'll be able to spend ages making excuses for him then.

  6. Get a faster internet connection for say £25 a month, and watch them online...

    Or go to the game.

Or, if you live too far away, support the team of where you actually come from, or (if you are exiled) watch it on the web/get a Johnny F dish.

  8. I hope he fucks back off to Oz and doesn't get the chance to sign for us.

But we have the worst strikeforce in the world ever, if Viduka came here at least it would push Shola down the pecking order. Or is Viduka not good enough aswell? Maybe Eto'o or is he a bit average also?

You really are the funniest man alive. Well, you're not, but you seem to think you are.

Viduka isn't good enough to be leading the line for us, no.

I don't recall anyone saying we had the worst frontline ever. Although our bench options must come close.

Still, if you think Viduka is good enough for us, and where we need to be next season , good for you. And of course you're right, as always.

  9. Not saying Shorey isn't better than what we've got, but yet again people on here (who don't even watch US that often) are talking abotu a player being top class, etc, having probably seen him twice.

  10. Wanted him at Bolton thats why he is linked.

So we can consider it to be a spurious, invented link then (like most of the other bollocks about Sam's plans)?

I sure hope so - Samuel is not an improvement!

    hahaahahahhaaha, you're funny.

He isn't, he is just as shit as anything we have.

As shit as Bramble, widely recognised around the country as the worst defender in the league? Worse than Babayaro, a player so useless no-one really complains that he chooses not to play very much?

  11. £3m no more.

£6m gets you Baines, especially if Wigan go down.

    Shorey is better.

    No he's not.

He is. Baines is at fault for half of Wigans goals and their defence is even worse than ours.

Readings defensive stats are only marginally better than ours - about 2 goals, i think.

  13. As I said in another thread, Keep Pearson.  Someone thats had the oppertunity to manage England u21s must have something about him.

    Get rid of McDermott.

I think Pearson gets a lot of sticks because he didn't perform miracles under Roeder and looked like he couldn't be arsed for 30 seconds in one match.

Or indeed at all, at any match.

  14. So in essence, you are sayin SA for what he's achieved at Bolton.....one league cup final, one season of europe.....and we say sven for Gothenberg, Uefa Cup, Benfica CL final, Lazio- title, CWC amongst other things.....you still sure?

    Yep. 100%.  O0

  Well done. You are brilliant evidence of the kind of fan that deserves the likes of Souness and Roeder.

Why, bearing in mind the actual facts of achievement, would you rather have Fat Heed?

Given a straight choice between Allardyce and SGE for NUFC right now - I'd choose Allardyce every time.

The club needs an entire overhaul and dragged into the 21st century. I think Allardyce can do this and SGE can't. I may be right or I may be wrong. If you think SGE would be a better choice  - fine. That's up to you.

My money's on the big man. Don't like it? Tough s***.

fair point, everyones entitled to there opinions, even if the are wrong, which yours are!! My overall opinion is that i think SA might well do a good jo,and as a nufc fan ill stand by him, just like i stood by roeder and souness, but i m honestly disheartend by the fact the club has already tripped up at the first hurdle by not showing the type of ambitions this club deserves and lookin for the right appointment, just like liverpool did, just lk arsenal did.

That's the thing though. You won't give him a chance or get behind him 100% because deep down you want someone else in charge.

No, i'm not 100% behind him, because i don't think he's good enough/the right person.

Fair enough. You're entitled to your opinion and I'm sure there will be 1000's who agree with you.

Personally, I think he's exactly what we need. Guess we'll find out in due time.

Yes, we will. SA should be judged on certain things fron the start of his tenure, and throughout.

If he is the man we get, i'll support him as lomng as he proves his intent from the start.

  15. do u mean a cant support ma home club and newcastle?

    2 things:

1 - if you can't be arsed to try to spell, fuck off, it's getting dull.

2 - in my opinion, you should support the club where you were born/have a strong familial link to. Thats what football is about. Why the fuck would yoiu want to support NUFC if you are from fucking miles away?? And don't try the "exiled Geordie in spirit" shite, the only people who buy that are not from Newcastle.
