Think that’s Willock’s true position, as one of the two floating wide men behind a striker. Still shocked at how good he was considering the team wasn’t functioning smoothly at all in the 3-4-2-1 shape with the changes we made. He must’ve been showing something in training to be back to first sub off the bench for the usual midfielders, so fair play to him for that.

It does feel like Howe’s making a serious effort to give people minutes in the CL, even at the expense of going for what many consider the ‘better option’. Didn’t mind seeing Miley at RB at all and he looked quality with a bit more time on the ball than in CM.
