  1. Damn it! Going to the game aswell... Come on Marveaux, Show us what we've been missing!!!
  2. Sorry about this, but what is up with Benarfa? I hadn't seen any injury news...
  3. 433 with overlapping full backs.
  4. I can't believe anyone doubts for a moment that Jonas will be in the starting eleven. As importanty as cheick colo and cabaye for me... Fits in any system and gives 100% as well as a decent outlet and hold up if needed. Shame on you all!!
  5. Ba and Cisse both on Ramadamadamadan. We can forgive him a few misses for another couple of weeks....
  6. It would be nice to think that with Cabaye and Tiote adjusted to the rigours of the prem we could play a four four one one with demba coming back to help out and playing between the lines when we have the ball. If Manu and Shiteh do It why can't we?? Would take big cojones to do so given the results of the 433 last term...
  7. My main issue with people saying sell demba is that if Cisse were to get injured what the hell would we do? I thought Demba played well on the wing and was unlucky not to get another four or five goals, just a striker's bad run that's all. I think him and Cisse will rotate a bit more if he stays and he will get his fair share... If he was to go, I would replace him with a pacy striker that can play wide "a la henry"...
  8. It would be far too narrow down the middle, let's the opposition defense and holding midfield handle you easily due to lack of space.
  9. bag of opel fruits would be top!
  10. How negative was parker's play last night, in the whole first half I think he passed the ball forward twice, really was disgraceful. Yes, he's great at stopping play but at this level you need more in the bag than just stopping... Second half he improved slightly but he does slow us down a hell of a lot. Against a good midfield we'll be destroyed. I honestly think rooney needs to drop further to help out or we are very predictable... Liked chamberlain and walcott when they came on, Milner worked very hard aswell but he's not going to give any defense nightmares... Italy will be a good test, I hope Roy goes with the youngsters.
  11. I think we will continue to play 1-4-1 next year, with possible team: ----------------------Krul-------------------- Debuchy------Tayls-----Colo--------Santon -------------------Tiote------------------ Benarf-----Cabs-------Jonas------?Ba/de jong/Marveaux? ------------------Cisse----------------
  12. I think the top eight will improve massively next season, some good managerial signings for the likes of villa and redscumbags, some good signings from chelsea signalling their intent, Arsenal will need to sign some good players if they want to hang on to RVP, City obviously, Spurs and Manu need to prove themselves again next year... Looks set for a good prem!
  13. Remember what Ba did to ferdinand? He had him all over the place to be fair... Hasn't looked anything like he was 3 years ago... Never did like him anyway, self appointed twitter cop...wan*er! & he looks like Bernie from Mo's tavern (simpsons) when he speaks (twisted mouth speech)
  14. Deja Vu!!! ouch!.... the bullsh** begins
  15. In the group stages you can play weakened teams if you have a scottish team, a czech team and a slovanian team! lol But in the following matches you need to be playing your best team over both legs or you can get caught out, if we are going to enter we need to take it seriously. I would play a mixed team for the "easy" games, but again what happens when we meet a decent team? Get rid of all the reserves and tell them " sorry lads, you were great against the crap sides but we don't trust you against Valencia/Atletico...whoever!", difficult to manage on many fronts... Step up Pardiola!
  16. The priority has to be Right Back and Centre Back, therefore debuchy and Douglas/Mbviwa? The rest would be a like for like basis. If I had to choose another position it would be a striker to help us when the ACON comes round.
  17. Work on: getting a right sided centre back who can bring the ball out and a right back who can pass as well as defend. Stopping the urge to play hoofball in the last twenty minutes, an expanded plan B which could be to keep playing our passing game but to change wingers/formation etc to baffle opposition. Learning how to change our formation/tactics earlier in the game so as to counter opposition when they are steamrolling us. As good as Pards is I reckon he has fallen short on adapting whilst games are being played, he needs to go back and study Mourinho a bit longer to see that he generally makes changes after 15-20 mins in a game if needed...
  18. Putting an article like that up on their home pages decreases their credibility tenfold. I can't believe they've seen fit to mutter those totally non commital sentences!! I enjoy reading TF 95% of the time but that 5% they do some really grinding stuff that winds you up the other way.... Let's hope they're wrong, don't want things to implode just as we seem to be making progress...
  19. Seen him a couple of years ago and he was the talk of the dutch league then, probably mentioned on here at some point also... Rather have Cabral tbh, fits into our strategy for buying young...
  20. Looking at Fulham's squad and I don't think they have a chance against spurs today, some big players out for them specially dempsey...

    Danny Guthrie

Well worth keeping him, but I don't think he will want to stay, he's at an age where he needs constant time on the pitch, something he won't get here if we hang on to the boys we already have... Sorry but it looks like Bye Bye.
  23. Santon is using his body much better now to keep the ball, he is also a bit "rougher" when tackling/challenging...Learns fast tbh!!
