I can´t see him going to another prem league club, it would be extremely short sighted on our behalf. A barcelona or madrid would not hurt so much and most brazilian players tend to see those as their dream destination...

Palace seem to have started to gel now and are showing the potential that everyone assumed they would have with the new manager. Out of the two teams playing at their best level we should have enough to squeeze a win here tonight. ---------------------Dubs---------------------- Tino------Krafty------Schar-----------Burn ---Longstaff------Bruno------Anderson--- Gordon---------Isak-------------Barnes--- Nice to have callum back on subs bench
-
Yep, really surprised me as i also had the scouse caricature in my head! What an amazing professional, really glad we are buying top professionals with superb attitudes... like he said; only way is up
-
Aye, deffo right winger and striker needed, more so if we sell miggy and calum. Defence injuries and age concerns need addressed asap, would like minimum one centre back and left back or 2 CBs (kelly). If we get Kelly he can cover both LB and LCB, would be a good signing! Up and coming defensive midfielder would be a big bonus, as people have commented; if Bruno gets injured we have no real back up.
-
I think Gallagher is over-rated, his effort is world class but his technical ability is not where we want to be. A glorified McTominay if you like...
-
I reckon Spurs will only get 6 or 7 points fron their run-in (the most difficult). We should get a minimum of 12 from a possible 18. Means we would need an exemplary winning streak of 6 games (not impossible with players coming back) to get into possible champions places (fifth).

Madrid are on fire at the moment, will be no stroll for Madrid. Very evenly matched for me...
-
Kelly has pace, is only 25 and with eddie's guidance will become the next kyle walker!!! AND FOR FREE
-
I reckon if Minteh continues his accelerated development we could have areal great back up winger to replace Miggy with for free. Keep Murph as he is able to play wing-back half decently...
-
Kelly and Tosin free transfers, kind of solves centre back issues. Sell miggy and bring in Minteh as cover for Gordon. Buy a new striker and a superstar left back.
-
I would prefer to move Bruno further up the pitch and get a defensive midfielder "a la Rice" who can also play good progressive football. A right midfielder, centre back and striker would hopefully push us up into top six/champs league contention.

Very good listen!! Good analysis of where we are and how long it will take with the current restraints. Patience people!!!

I haven't seen an injury (+ suspension) crisis so prolonged and deep as we have had this season. It is the major contributing factor to our poor form. I also think that every manager makes mistakes and Eddie's biggest failing to date has probably been loyalty to some of his "purples" who have been out of form at times. As for treatment of Hall; when I first saw him he was well off the pace and did not convince me at all. Agreed with not using him and preferred Tino. Now, After a few months of integration with Eddie's methods, his cameo the other day was positive.

Merino is apparently a big headed arrogant cnut. A lot of the Real Soc fans haven't taken to him for perceived attitude problems. Once bitten, twice shy...

Absolutely rinsed Lewis hall when he played against us... Looked their main threat all match
-
I think with joe linton, anderson and tonali back into the midfield, we are stacked there, it is not a priority... We really need an upgrade on murhp and miggy, sell one of them to offset a bit. Wilson is far too fragile now and is at an age where if we want to sell him it has to be this summer (promoted team?). Need a striker as competition to Isak ASAP. We are crying out for more creativity: I would love to see Bruno moved up the pitch and/or a player who could possibly play in a nº10 attacking midfielder role. Need a left back if Hall is not deemed good enough. Also a righ centre back as I am unsure how long Schar can keep it going and stay injury free.
-
I would rather sell murphy, bring someone new in, and have miggy as back up. He is better as an impact sub and also to press/harrass in the final stages of the game.
-
Aye, can´t see Southgate changing his favoured two holding midfielders. I think with Rice sitting and bellingham backing him as he is a very intelligent player when it comes to decisions of when to stay or go, I think we could be a really feared team. Unfortunately, I think Tripps on the left isn´t our best option, >Chillwell is playing great football at the moment.
-
Anyone know what his injury was and how long he will be out for?
-
I would like three first teamers: Right wing: Nico williams/Chiesa/Raphina Nº9/10: bit more creative, can play both number 9 or 10 (wing) e.g. Lautaro Martinez Left back: Robinson (Fulham)/ Di Marco And back up: Centre Back (right) Get rid of: Dummet/Ritchie/Targett
-
He just doesn´t have a bad game, really impressed by him this year. Slow start and then after a good pre-season he has been our stand-out player this year. Also, his flexibility to cover other positions has been so good for us.
-
Nico Williams is elite level when attacking, but unfortunately, his defensive abilities are limited, albeit getting better... Worth every penny of the 40 million euro buy out clause
-
Watched him and Iñaki last night and they are playing very well. Worth the 40M€ fee they have in his contract..

https://theathletic.com/5299913/2024/02/27/joe-willock-newcastle-united?source=user-shared-article Decent article from the athletic that mentions our midfield shape, the change little joe can bring, and references Longstaff and miley similarities which hamstring us a little too much...
