Their defense played the ball out superbly, cant remember how many times they played slick passes to their midfielders by-passing our press. We were lethargic at best today. Did like wilson and isak together with gordon on the other side.
-
Liked him up front, gordon right and isak left

Was always going to be a rough start to the season. Rougher than expected but there you go... Take it on the chin and move on. Eddie will make the changes he sees necessary next week...

Hahahaha... honestly can't believe people are blaming ashworth now for a couple of losses, before these our signings were 8/9 out of ten. Fickle fans?
-
Aye, needs to do something different for the second half. Big test today.

Mistake by Pope for their goal, otherwise we have looked reasonable, nothing more, even with them dominating. Mind you we havent really threatened them at all and look a bit passive. Their defense seem to able to pick their passes and then we are backtracking pretty quick. Pedro, the young irish lad and mitoma all look very good, solly as well. They are playing very well, have to give them their due. Lets see what we do in the second half, Bruno has been better today at least that is a positive, isak too...

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

I just want a madrid team so I can get tickets and travel down easily!! -
Yep, still quite down after the way we lost. Really hope we get a result against Brighton, another tough game!!
-
Yep, very depressing, especially after watchin how horse face celebrated as though he had won the champs league

My honest take is that we weren't capable of finishing it off or seeing it out, we seemed to be in limbo/treading water from about the 30th minute. Their first goal I thought should have been saved, and the second was a silly lost ball and then bounces off his arse... a joke! All in all we were poor. Against 10 men we should have rinsed them but weren't up to it. Let's see how we react against brighton.

Gordon looks great, will get arnold sent off at some point, too much for him. Big joe is a beast and ref is a bit biased against him. Defence is solid. Bruno still needs to step up a gear, still solid. Miggy and Isak just need a bit of a spark, not a lot of ball getting to Isak tbh...

A "Tottenhamesque" start would be nice... 3 or 4 up in the first hour and then play with them for the rest of the match
-
Anderson deserves to be on the pitch this weekend... He has had an awesome preseason and his cameo last weel was very positive. Sure Eddie will be chewing it over
-
Would like to see him come on against the bib dippers at some stage, have gotten to like his contribitions and facial actions
-
Guy has everything apart from good passing ability. Have a soft spot for him as he has always seemed to give 100% for us every game regardles if whether that was sufficient or not. Keep for back up!

And his mate nicky butt
-
Absolute nutcases

Remember, Philips knocked us back at the start of the window, it deffo looked like we were looking for a dynamic holding midfielder so that we could Bruno further upfield...

Right centre back, right wing and a N.10

Agree a lot with this. Most probably our expectations have now ratcheted up a couple of levels hence the rumblings about his "dip" in form.
-
Aye, when a joke goes on you need to know when to stop

For me it is just Klopp and his snide comments and moaning, really want to put one over him as he has gone way down in my opinion. Watching Liverpool play is entertaining mind you, can't take that away.
-
Fair enough. We shall just jave to agree to disagree then...
-
Do you not think that his petulant gesturing to his teamates has a negative effect? He never seems to stop complaining and that surely is a negative for those around him. Agree on his effort and footballing ability but just think that his body language is horrible

Flukes with regard to the then managers influencing results...
