No, the end of last season was a dip in his form aswell, but he had the ankle problem to excuse it...
-
My own personal opinion on him as captain is: he can set the standard needed through his playing ability, but his actions and treatment of both his teammates and referees is lamentable, a real bad example!
-
The problem most of us are having is that we see that he is not at the same elite level he set last year. He just hasn't really got going this season, again we need to give him a chance to find his form.

The liverpool game will be about which side "clicks", both teams are unbeatable when on top form. Hard to call tbf...
-
The hope, according to most of the fanbase, was that we went there expecting the team to perform and perhaps scrape a result. The reality... is that Man City put a stranglehold on us from the first minute and we just could not escape it. They were far superior in nearly everything and their technical ability was unbelievable, they passed around our attempts at a press and used it very well in quick counters. Surprisingly, most of their good chances were long precision balls from Ederson over the top... oh, and of course Foden's masterclass. We are a work in progress and tbh we kept it quite tight and they didn't spank us which is about what we all really expected/wanted... It won't be too long before we really compete, patience and trust is necessary.

Watched the highlights and Manu seemed quite ordinary tbh. As for refs giving them decisions, we have had to put up with this since the early 90's... no change there!

At the end of last season he started to get caught with the ball, but he had the excuse of the ankle injury. It could also be that teams have worked out that he likes to hold on to the ball, small details in how to dispossess the opposition. Players will be studied to the nth degree... He needs to adapt or get out of the dip as soon as possible as he is the fulcrum of our team, what makes us tick!

Ref didn't book him and was awful whole game for me. We complain about the state of refs in The prem, but la liga is much worse. Really poor ...

Klopp has seriously lost the plot over the last year or so. Seems to explode (see drop to floor in a kiddie's tantrum against chelsea) every game now and can't seem to resist sly digs at every other team. Serious dislike for the bloke now, quite liked him when he first arrived...

For me a win or draw is paramount, just for the fear factor it will put into the majority of sides!
-
Loan with obligation to buy: Tierney would be great and would add serious pace to our back line. Him and Gordon linking up down the left!! Dribble
-
Liverpool looked very sharp attacking wise for 20-30 minutes and are very capable of doing damage. They looked a bit like villa in the second half, ran completely out of breath! If we keep it tight first half I reckon we could well do them.
-
Thought Liverpool were great for the first twenty minutes then their whole team dissapeared... Chelsea the better team overall. Like the look of jackson
-
Oooshya... what a melted cheese thebdefence of liverpool is
-
Thinking exactly the same... dodged a bullet there

Macallister, salah and slobodob looking really good. I hate these cnuts!
-
He loves it here and would not go to another team now that we are in crescendo! For 30 million in todays market, NO WAY!!!
-
The difference to last year was that their midfield was not up to speed and the acm buendia injured has probably taken a bit of bite from them. Yep, Mcgin was a bit like our Bruno: AWOL
-
If Celtic finally pay us something for Fraser, we could easily go out and get a left back and/or centre back
-
I would rather a centre back as cover for Schar, I think tripps and livramento, when up to speed, can cover both flanks
-
Haaland to get a niggle after wednesday
-
Although city won easily 3-0 they just didn't look as daunting a prospect as usual, also take away Haalands most prolific provider and we have the best chance we've had in ages... We looked awesome yesterday and if we play with the same intensity and concentration we can really send a message out!!! HAAAWAAAY!!!!
-
Prefer Chelsea to beat the red victims with horse chops complaining aggressively at the end, And Brentford to demonstrate to everyone that Tottenham really are dog turd!!!
-
Best player on the pitch in first half, his off the ball runs are really good, always offering an option
-
Aye, Diaby has looked sharp. Also, douglas Luiz seems to have had a new burst of life, he has been very good in their midfield
