In my opinion he's better than anita in that position and tiote, who else do we put in there? Best trio is Colback Abeid and Sissoko, he plays a lot better when surrounded by people who actually move. He isn't "average" he is "good", which isn't great but better than average...

Compare him to the other midfielders we had on the pitch and he was head and shoulders above both tiote and Gouffran, sammy does other things (he looked good taking on their defense at times) so isn't a great comparison.

Watched the match again and Colback was surprisingly good, didn't lose the ball hardly and you can't blame him for not being able to get very close to arsenal's slick passing movements. Compare him to chieck, who lost the ball a lot and had everyone's heart in mouth when he tried his ballerina pirouttes routine.... Jeezuz He isn't a player who is going to impress us but if you watch him closer he really does help us tick and does everything well (but not greatly), I couldn't fualt the lad tbh. if he was 6 inches taller he would be majestic...Honest!

The way arsenal played yesterday it wouldn't have mattered much if our fcukwit manager had lined up Dummet in the centre, haidara on the left and cabella on the wing, they were sensational going forward, that front line looked immense. I think tiote and williamson were the real weak points in our side yesterday, it actually galled me to see a premiership defender so scared of the ball. Goufran did what his dad wants and nothing more... what can we expect? If taylor and sissoko weren't suspended, would our manager have had the balls to leave gouffbag out? instead of spewing vomit about carefully introducing cabella... no, I doubt it. Still think on yesterday's form Arsenal would have done us no matter who we put out, I was impressed by their attacking play, shame we were unable to test out that back four more.

Don't agree... just based on the fact of how many times I can distinctly remember myself screaming at the telly for one of our midfielders/defenders/whoever to release the ball to him when he was making a run... Not the same as being at St James or wherever, but it was the impression i got a hell of a lot of the times. I still like Cisse and think he can offer us a lot if given the right service.

I have never thought it was (all) Cisse's fault that he got caught in the offside trap so much, rather that the side was never quick enough or direct enough to get the early ball through to him. His runs were great, just a shame that the team wasn't coached how to make the best of the striker... (see Pardle)...
