    Transfer rumours

While I wouldn't mind if we signed Zaha he wouldn't be a priority. The takeover hasn't happened yet but some here have unrealistic expectations on the type of player we're going to be signing initially until we break into the top 4 and earn a CL place. We'll be going for players who haven't worked out at their club and their stock has dropped but are still good players, players who are good but s step below the very elite, possibly older elite players on free transfers. Once we break into the CL places then we'll go for the very elite.

Has Adrien Rabiot been mentioned in this thread as he's been linked to us? https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1282510/Newcastle-26m-Adrien-Rabiot-Man-Utd-Everton-transfer/amp
  6. MBS is the chairman of PIF like it's pretty straightforward tbh Yeah, but a chairman doesnt make executive decisions like a director so he may be exempt from checks.
  7. Isn't the point of the test that's its against the owners and directors which would be PIF, PCP, and the Reuben brothers. PIF is it's own legal entity, we wouldn't be directly owned by the Saudi state or Royalty but rather an investment vehicle. So the criteria should be against the directors of PIF. MBS is chairman of PIf so not sure if he gets assessed but could you imagine the fallout if the PL said he wasn't plus none of allegations can be directly linked to him. How can alleged human rights abuses by the Saudi government be linked to PIF? How can alledged piracy i.e. BeOutQ and Arabsat be linked to PIF? How can PIF be shown to be able to influence the prince that owns Sheffield United.
  8. How on earth does any of that have anything to do with them being able to take over a football club anyway man. Just seems people are clutching at straws desperately not wanting us to have anything good. Spiteful people I think this will still go through despite the best efforts of vested interests trying to scupper it solely due to the fact Arabsat cannot be linked to PIF.
  9. The tests are against the owners are they not? PIF are a separate legal entity to Arabasat which is a pan Arabian organisation going by their wiki with SA being the largest shareholder (not owned by PIF) How can the alleged crimes of one separate legal entity be used against another separate legal entity? Edit: Just saw the solicitors tweet above.
  10. What could these new legal documents be? I doubt theres a big signed document from MBS or the head of PIF authorising piracy. If such documents exist why were they not used in BeINS case against Arabsat unless they were and it's just documents from that case forwarded to the PL?
  11. Dubravka Atal Schar Lascelles Taglifico Sangare Soumare ASM Almiron Coutinho Osihmen Since we can hopefully deam about signing players I'd go for Atal, Tagliafico, Sangare, Soumare, Coutinho, and Osihmen.
  12. Yes, something I suggested as a measure to allow football to restart.
  13. Doesn't need to be that long, a couple of months while the rate of infection reduces and a decision can be made to remove the requirement.
  14. Outside of NHS staff many others have delivered services and the money comment was a cheap shot to be fair. Footballers are not key workers but what I suggested is the only safe way to restart the league. If players dont want to make those sacrifices then fine, the league doesnt restart, clubs go bust, their contracts get terminated, and they don't play football for 18 months.
  15. No money has nothing to do it but the point being if one group can manage it why shouldn't a footballer be able to do the same?
  16. NHS staff are group isolating in hotels, I'm sure millionaire footballers can make the sacrifice.
  17. A half way needs to be found if we wait until a vaccine is available some clubs will go bust. So I think the following is the safest way forward: -End this season -Start again in September with pre testing, any ill players being isolated. -Weekly testing again any unwell players being isolated. -U23 players to be allowed to be included in premier league squads to cover for isolated players (enlarged squads). - Training matches cannot be social distances so masks and gloves to be worn. Skills based drills to be in groups of 2-3 with masks and gloves - Squads to be isolated from friends and family members with hefty fines and bans for those that breach it - No fans in stadiums and no gatherings outside
  18. You're right, can a mod stick this and any responses in the main takeover thread or do we not do that?
  19. The fact La Liga clubs are bricking it should spur the PL to approve it if they haven't already. The PL will want to dominate European competitions and use it to promote itself.
  20. La Liga president sticking his nose in saying that the takeover shouldn't be allowed as the Saudis pirated european football matches including the PL and La Liga. Get some quality cm's in who can keep us up the pitch and almiron, ASM, and even Joelinton will look a lot better. Not having to run from inside our own half with the ball to get in the opponents half but rather starting the runs outside the opponents box and they'll look much better.
  22. Hoping Colo's and Tsunamis info is good. Hopefully good times ahead.
