  1. Why does everyone want to lock threads.....we’ll be left discussing the weather.
  2. i can honestly see us gaining only 1 more point and hope that’s enough.
  3. Is anyone watching Spurs v Sheffield Utd…..don’t fancy our chances of breaking them down if we need to beat them later on…..especially under our Tactical genius.
  4. I’m almost at the stage of wanting to see the back of Bruce more than Ashley……i’ve not hated a manager as much as him, and that includes Pardew, who is a master tactician and good bloke in comparison.
  5. If their luck does change…we’re fucked….I wouldn’t trust our beloved leader to inspire our lot against Sheffield u and Fulham
  6. I still think we’ve got enough points, but any club, even those with a very poor wins record at present, is still capable of back to back wins…..it’s no good thinking, they haven’t achieved that all season, a bit of luck, Penalty decision, flucky og etc is all they need……like everyone else I don’t think they will, but there is still that worry that it might happen….and no one would necessarily fancy our chances last 2 games if a win/draw was imperative……even if Mickey Mouse was our Manager?
  7. How can you be injured collecting your pay packet at the end of the week?
  8. I’m not sure how Everton have got 52points…they’ve been shit every time I’ve seen them
  9. Wolves this season can be added to that list.
  10. And what if any or all get injured beforehand….still confident?……however totally agree that it won’t get to that stage anyway(I hope)
  11. Although i agree with your sentiment, i somehow would get the jitters if we needed a result against Sheffield U with Bruce in charge,
  12. We are wasting our breath with these folk....they have got absolutely no understanding what this thread is all about...They enjoy being wind up merchants, and love the idea of making life miserable for us poor buggers. You and Manor Park, keep up the good work in this thread and hope, perhaps, someday they will see the error of their ways
  13. Stick it in the “Takeover” Thread….it can then be discussed at length……..us miserable buggers are waiting patiently here for the inevitable good news?
  14. I noticed this Positive Optimism Takeover thread has been “Taken Over”? by the “Dark Side”…..time for some Plane Spotting.
  15. With Bruce in charge best to air on “we’ll lose all our games”...certainly not confident if we ever needed a result against Sheffield Utd and/or Fulham. Don’t think Fulham could get 9 points from their last 5 games but in football anything can happen, and it’s no use IMO basing previous 33 games as an example of Fulham can’t get 3 wins in last 5 games.....highly unlikely but not impossible....I’m at a 2.
  16. Probably because like all of us there’s no news, positive or negative out there to post.....and I don’t include edwards efforts as worthy of any news. I’m sure they will appear as soon as we get any titbits to feed us.
  17. I’m sure Celtic didn’t think that when Rangers were demoted all those years ago. There are plenty good teams remaining in the premier and I’d rather challenge for trophies in a new PL than continue year in and year out, just fighting to be 15th. However I understand where you are coming from with a devalued competition, though I’d still rather have a chance of success rather than constant failure.
  18. I’m pretty confident that arbitration will eventually go our way.......I’ll leave any doubts about other issues to the other thread?
  19. Like you, I read but don’t post in this thread because so far I’ve felt very positive that the outcome of our takeover would eventually be successful. However I’m also of the opinion that the whole ownership situation could well change and put the kibosh on our takeover. I look forward to some good news that will alter my change of heart...I’m still positive but wavering.....sorry Whitley and ManorPark?
  20. Agree......the PL will still exist. More teams in with a chance to actually win something. OK, so not as much money involved through TV etc, but over time things will settle down, agents fees will be reduced, wages become manageable and clubs will live within their means. The Champions League will still be a target for clubs, and perhaps less so called “dead rubbers” as more teams will be of equal ability. There is a need to re think football and perhaps this gives us a chance to get back to football being a priority not money.......on the other hand it may well all go tits up.
