Fuck sake man. Wake up. It’s not bed wetting It pretty much proves MBS & PIF are far from separate which is the very specific reason Masters gave for the takeover not going thru. You don’t get it or just refuse to get it. It’s got very little to do with the US, oil money or even the murder itself, the PL have accused MBS of being a shadow director and said he must take the O&D test which he simply won’t Shouldn’t you be putting this in the other thread......why shit on us all the time....leave us alone? Why would I reply to his post in this thread in the other thread? What is happening to some in here? Losing it The question I keep asking is why you come into this thread anyway.....if it’s simply to wind up the few of us still here hoping for some good news, then perhaps you ought to start your own thread......Possibly titled “Anyone for a wind up”....?

Looks like a very small band of us left......Leave the thread open MIDDS......at least the few of us can wallow in our own optimism until it either happens or does not.

"The" only L O G I C A L outcome "is" that it MUST "be" C L O S E D Wait!!! Close it when we're relegated, when Ashley still owns us and is even less pro-active than he is now, when the legal team have stopped baking bread and have moved on to Burnley, when SA and PIF have been so vilified that they've moved on to Marseille and when Whitley and ManorPark no longer provide us with their heaps of positivism......meanwhile !!
-
The arbritation case agaisnt the PL not something positive or are you a closet optimist who needs constant reassurances? Well for me I’ll wait for the outcome of arbitration before I decide if it’s positive. If it fails it’s not exactly positive is it? I don’t particularly feel having this hangover out heads all season has really helped either You're doing it wrong - the thread is called positive optimism, not positive outcome. Ok so the arbitration case is a positive but my main point was 94 pages and 10 months of utter shite about bread and Spanish jazz etc Might be for you, some of us in here enjoy it......a bit of relief from the other thread.

Fuck, so its the FA as well as the PL that are determining our fate. We're in the brown stuff for sure FA=Fat Ashley

If nothing is moving by the end of the month (and I’m still feeling quite positive), FA has got a decision to make with Bruce.

Perfectly legitimate post, and of course everyone’s view is personal and mostly always acceptable. However I just want to pop into this thread to see if anyone has any hearsay/twitter bollocks/Chronicle crap/ mates and taxi drivers. I can then make my mind up what is complete and total bollocks and what is only bollocks?

Another twitter itk from London who works or worked in the city, tends to use a boxing analogy to describe the current state of play. I think his latest tweet had us in the 12th round. That account has been proved in talking utter shit and hasn't been a source of correct information at all. Its not an itk account at all, its bollocks. There's a big difference between taking a positive outlook on things and taking the word of anonymous bullshit twitter accounts. Thats what sickens people. The wallet inspector would have a field day with some folk on here. You may well be right, but why come in here and shit on those who peer into the thread for a bit of light hearted info (even if it isn’t factually accurate). Put your hatred of us in the other thread where it can be debated properly. Because unless called out with some realism people coming in to This thread for genuine positive news might innocently be encouraged by what is essentially a troll on twitter. I, like a lot of people are desperate to hear positive news but coming in here is almost having the reverse effect it’s disheartening seeing these tweets then realising it’s just utter bollocks Fair comment, but let the reader make their own mind up whether it’s bollocks, drivel or someone just trying to get twitter likes. Most ,if not all, of our forum members are relatively intelligent.Allow them to make their own judgements when they come into this thread. To castigate everyone for popping into the thread and not thinking that they can make their own minds up on whether it’s bollocks or readable info is wrong. I personally enjoy the opportunity of making my own mind up on anything posted.

I don’t think you quite understand why we’re here in this thread?

Am I behind the times...I can’t find any mention of HTT.....has he left.

Sometime under the tories I assume. Apparently 2014. She was also appointed by Sir Philip Green to chairman of Taveta, owners of the Arcadia Group. She keeps good company.

The bread maker liked two Tweets. A Saudi football had an operation. Thanks

I'm late to the party.....I've read the last few pages but still can't work out what's happened.....anyone like to summarise

I live in leicestershire and there was a news item about the shop on The Local News. Apparently his business has tripled since the lockdown and they did say his cakes were delicious?
-
Do they get their cheesecakes from him?
-
I see FA has opened up a new shop in Nottinghamshire close to his SD Empire

Remember that season well....went to Derby in April and lost 4-1 with us finishing with 8 men. Even down to 9 men at half time, Peacock scored to make it 2-1 and we nearly equalised later before tired legs eventually told. 3 weeks later and the famous 2-1 victory over Leicester at filbert street in the last game of the season.....wondrous times.

Just about to post this Jinky, more assurance PIF are still just waiting for that green light ? You’re fun to be with....if you fell in a pit of breasts, you’d be the one to come out with a dummy?

The latest from Mark Douglas...for those of you not wanting to read via the chronicle website. The Saudi PIF remain committed to the Newcastle United deal, although there will be no public statements to that effect. The PIF and chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan's return to the fore of late has seen plenty of coverage of their aspirations for the next few years - including an intriguing quote from Al-Rumayyan, who would have been on Newcastle's board, that professional sport remains a "priority" for the fund. It was always felt by those close to the deal that PIF would look elsewhere to invest in professional football if the Newcastle deal was definitively over. With things still rumbling in the background, there are assurances that won't happen. The deal - brought up in Parliament this week again - continues to be spoken about. A recent meeting of Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Al-Swaha with UK minister for Investment Gerry Grimstone was noted by some takeover watchers. Lord Grimstone was performing "shuttle diplomacy" on behalf of the group last summer. But for those who see it as a smooth ride, the International Olympic Committee's decision press for Saudi to be kept on a "blacklist" of potential rogue states when it comes to piracy illustrates the work still to be done. Interestingly, Rafa Benitez looks to be in no hurry to commit to a club while the takeover saga plays out. He was linked with the Marseille job in midweek but a return to Newcastle under new, monied owners would be a dream ticket for the Spaniard.

Unfortunately Yorkie what may be tedious to some is interesting to others, no one is forcing you to read it. Like it or not this bloke has a legal action pending with the PL, the PL will not want some information disclosed into the public domain, and thereby his action is a very real threat to them. So whether you think he is central to all this or a peripheral figure, any bits of info from someone in contact with buyer and seller is useful at this point. Keep it coming Whitley. This thread is for people like us who revel in the thought that “one day” we’ll be rid of this thief. People are welcome to have their own views on the subject but please don’t come in here and criticise the likes of Whitley and Manorpark for their updates. If you don’t like what they have to say, stay in the “takeover thread”.

Some of us on here are(to coin a manor park phrase)waiting. The good times will come. Bring it on.

Lee was only hated after he left us to go to Everton....He was a good manager whilst he was here.

Sorry but I just don't get this post - in what world view is Steve Bruce's Newcastle not living up to every expectation that Ashley sets? Steve Bruce's job is the safest in the Premier League as long as Newcastle United are not in the bottom three. From Ashley's perspective, he's even better than Rafa. No illusions of ambition or growth, not a bad word said against the owners or the board or even mentioning their names. I've said it before, and will again - unless Newcastle United are in real danger of relegation, Steve Bruce is going absolutely nowhere. Much of my comment is pure guesswork and personal opinion. No one knows what is going on in Ashley’s mind, but I’d be very surprised if he isn’t at least a bit concerned with our position. Normally I’d agree with your perspective on Ashley and Bruce but these are not normal times. Ashley does want to sell, he wants to sell to PIF and Staveley/Reuben and I would hasten to suggest that he is concerned with our position in the league. Whether he has the nous to do anything about it, we’ll probably see if there is no movement on the takeover by the end of the month.
