This NO CRITICISM ALLOWED!!1!111!!! argument is my beef. We deserve much criticism today, we were shit. That’s all most are saying.

Totally see the big picture. To be clear: we are having a great season. I am very impressed with all involved. However, today’s performance was shit. I’m not saying it invalidates everything, but today’s performance was undoubtedly not a good performance. It’s brain-rot to disagree. We passed the ball to the other side over and over again.

Cool - care to meet the argument with an actual argument as opposed to cliche after cliche? I suspect you don’t have one.

Difference for me is we played well in those games. We didn’t today. Nobody is saying we expect a win every match, some are just saying we didn’t play well today. Round and round and round and round….

And the reaction by others has been too casual and anti-factual.

Would you mind explaining how insisting a player sticks to his contract would demotivate the squad? He wanted to leave for money and job security, but we don’t have depth. I’d rather protect our interests than his.

And I think that was a mistake. A firm but polite no would have been my move. We don’t have a deep enough squad.

What’s really dull about the entitlement brigade is that they won’t acknowledge what they just saw: that was a very poor performance. Leeds draw we battered them, arsenal draw was very creditable, Palace draw we battered them without creating, West Ham we edged it. All of those draws are fine and I take no issue with them. But today we looked like we’d met each other for the first time and couldn’t do the basics. That was just a bad show, stop pretending otherwise.

Such a shit take. We played badly today, it’s anti-factual to suggest otherwise. Folk are rightly miffed. They’re championship bound, have a mediocre squad and a sub-mediocre manager in literally his first job. It’s fine to be held by a team that plays well but today we held them, just. Worst performance of the season. Hate the “well it’s a point” argument. Fuck that, we were rubbish.

Mediocre again. We really need to have a rethink about how we attack.

I mean do whatever you need to do to maintain a great season and address the the fact that we’re clearly running out of steam.

Then get creative. That’s the challenge they took on.

We continue to look completely off the pace. Can’t say it enough that freshening up the squad in January was a no-brainer.

Not writing him off, just saying he’s been poor today.
