  1. Fine - sell in summer. Need a squad and he’s more than capable as a squad player.
  2. Think people are concerned and it’s fair enough. We’re not playing well, and today was a very poor performance.
  3. Calling people entitled for saying today was shit?! No it doesn’t. That was a bad performance. You’re thick if you think otherwise.
  4. What’s really dull about the entitlement brigade is that they won’t acknowledge what they just saw: that was a very poor performance. Leeds draw we battered them, arsenal draw was very creditable, Palace draw we battered them without creating, West Ham we edged it. All of those draws are fine and I take no issue with them. But today we looked like we’d met each other for the first time and couldn’t do the basics. That was just a bad show, stop pretending otherwise.
  5. Such a shit take. We played badly today, it’s anti-factual to suggest otherwise. Folk are rightly miffed. They’re championship bound, have a mediocre squad and a sub-mediocre manager in literally his first job. It’s fine to be held by a team that plays well but today we held them, just. Worst performance of the season. Hate the “well it’s a point” argument. Fuck that, we were rubbish.
  6. Mediocre again. We really need to have a rethink about how we attack.
  7. I mean do whatever you need to do to maintain a great season and address the the fact that we’re clearly running out of steam.
  8. Then get creative. That’s the challenge they took on.
  9. We continue to look completely off the pace. Can’t say it enough that freshening up the squad in January was a no-brainer.
  10. Not writing him off, just saying he’s been poor today.
  11. Does Isak look on the pace to you? He’s been crap.
  12. Let this remind people who called for Isak to start ahead of Wilson. He’s been dogshit.
  13. Such a weird thing - was so obviously a bad appointment from the outset for a team that has been circling the drain a few seasons.
  14. Same for pretty much all modern day leaders really
  15. I think we have to concede that it was just brilliant defending; great tackle. Woodgate-esque.
  16. Like a real prick I agreed to go on holiday with the chica and family months ago, not even thinking to check. So I’ll be waiting approx 10AM at a sports bar/shack in Montego Bay. Hopefully they allow rum and a jerk bucket from 0800 onwards.
  17. Again, literally exactly what he has said
  18. I think that’s us and Shelvey gets more minutes when he’s back.
  19. Sounds like a sensible combination of having a backup not being paid much who can then study off trippier over course of a few years and take over for him having learned precisely how we play. Save wages by moving Krafth and Manquillo, allocate elsewhere. It’s good squad and money management first and foremost IMO, but also has a hint of “the Brightons” in a tiny fee for someone who could next a lot more than that in return for some good coaching even if he gets frustrated waiting for his turn and moves on. One query I have is the flip side of that: he’s leaving West Ham, as I understand it, due to lack of first team opportunities. There aren’t going to be many here in the short-term beyond rotation and injuries to trippier.
  20. Like there’s no way that’s his name, right? Wondered how long it would take until footballers started taking artist names. All started with that weirdo “Jonas”. To be clear I love Jonas and always will.
  21. So yeh that’s what my argument was saying, we have to be an elite club first to attract him first in my view. We’d also only be a newly elite club, our name doesn’t yet have the same goodwill in the average player’s head as longer-term CL teams / clubs that have won and competed recently. We’d probably have to pay a premium to get round that (probably to the player).
  22. I think he’ll have his pick of clubs in the summer; for better or worse he seems like the next off the production line to an elite club. He’ll have a choice of different destinations that offer CL football, so unless Arsenal or Manchester City offer big money now, both he and Leicester would be daft to pull that trigger (not least because they’re still close to the bottom and have looked woeful at times this year, especially recently without him). In our advantage here is that we might be a CL club by then, and might have the money to do it. I think we’d have to finish 4th at least to get into a serious conversation.
