Starting tonight. How long till he manages to foul someone when jumping?

Steve Foster was a compete prick. I really hated him when i was little. I even took a dislike to Eric Young as he also used to wear a headband. I was in the paddocks that day. Not sure it was the same season but one year we had to wear their orange away kit down there as out silver kit clashed with their white. The ref had said something about the floodlight reflecting off it. Kenny was one of my hero's as a kid as i went to school with his son and he even came round to our house after a birthday party one year. Them were the days of normal footballers that lived down your street, like John Anderson did and Martin Thomas lived round the corner. Ando even recognised me and my bro in Basel and let us into the training session the night before.

Start to finish me an my mate had a fantastic trip: Free drink in the lounge at the airport Pished on the train up from Bologna with cheap red wine Meeting a lad trying to convince his wife he was away with work and struggling when the Italian train announcer came on Getting a taxi into main square and from 500 yards away being able to hear the "Shola Kokey" being sung The Stadium, match and fans. The bliddy long walk back to the metro queue and finding a side door and getting on the last train back. My pal hitching a lift on the back of an Inter fans scooter Classic. oh and Sergio cheating bastard Conceicao

The media (incorrectly) claim we have some deluded ideas well above our station and yet for Spuds its the media themselves who claim spuds are the 4th member of the top 5.

Given - Beaten Easily From Long Range Again.

And of you'd see the full game not the "here's another Chelsea chance easily saved by Given" highlights on MOTD you'd have seen a couple of occasions when Given failed to do anything convincing with a ball in the air on the edge of the 6 yard box. One weak punch and one 'leave'. Did come and catch one near the end and took a wack for his troubles but that's all too rare. If only he used his mouth to shout at defenders as much as he does at refs. Reckon he's now had 4 bookings for discent this season already. Still i'd have smacked the useless fecking linesman for that outrage. -
Nail and head Until he's had the job and done whatever he can with it the job is always going to be being kept warm for him. I'm firmly in the no camp and sick of his mention everytime something happens. And all this balls about getting them to play for the shirt.... if Shearer had really had this club at heart he'd have kept to his word and quit when he said he was going to and maybe we'd have won the FA or UEFA Cup that year when everyone was beginning to pull together. If he did get the job i see a situation like the one the mackems have got where no-one dares criticise him for fear or sullying the reputation. The press are so scared of the dog walker its unbelievable and brilliantly its doing the filth more harm than good. Get him in, if its a sucess brilliant, if its not then case closed and we can all move on.

Given - Beaten Easily From Long Range Again.

I said yesterday that Shay is fast becoming a bit of a liability. He's dreadful on free kicks, has poor distribution that has got no better, is weak on commanding his box which isn't helped as he never opens his mouth and cannot come off his line to any great conviction. Add to that he's not comfortable that even if he's out the team he'll be straight back in and has stopped saving shots. Is it any wonder why none of the big clubs who have been desperate for keepers over the last 5 years didn't come in for him. -
Agree and Tony Gubba too. He just never sounds like he's doing it live. Tony Gubba and Ian Darke are my favourite commentators. Gubba was exceptional when he did Rotherham Newcastle. That was 1983 man. Motson used to be good then.

I think Milner was the only one to miss in the shootout at Watford and Shearer missed a good amount but its one of those urban myths that he never missed any. Wolves 2004, Blackburn in the cup at home and away at Birmingham etc http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/ShearerGoalDetail/0,,10278~757307,00.html

I would be astonished if somebody never showed Chelsea vs QPR- West London Derby. Don't think your match will be on telly. 3 out of 4 ain't bad. Now I predict a Toon win for tomorrow night and peace and goodwill to all men at the Stoke game.

I can sense Mike subsidising some free travel for this one.

WHAT !!! What do you get excited about then? Mundane league matches? Cup games for Newcastle fans are the bread and butter.

BBC will always take the Premiership teams as they don;t get to show them and Sky will take Us possibly. I think the BBC though have to take a minnow vs bigger team as part of the contract. BBC - Villa v Man Utd and probably Spuds or West Ham and then the Burnley game against the Arse. Sky - Toon

South of Manchester and North of Birmingham just off the M6

Run the gauntlet time.

Away to League 1 or below or home to Championship or above. H*r*ford away gets my vote to put 8 past the parker coated scruffs and give Motson a proper memory to retire with.

Come off the M65 at J4 the one signposted Ewood and Darwen (NOT BLACKBURN). You come down the sliproad and follow the signs off the roundabout. At the lights turn right and then you go under the motorway and the school is not far. Its about a 10 minute walk to the Fernhurst which is a couple from the ground. The walk may sound like a fair distance but you can get stuck near the ground for ages.
