http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~1381543,00.html Spurs game on Wednesday 24th September at 7:45pm to be shown on Sky Sports -
People sitting round my desk are wondering why i'm chuckling to myself. Had to tell them i was still laughing at the mackems result (and audience) yesterday.

Beats working

Leroy's been getting a bad press recently like, he's a player that could do a job in the premiership. Not saying I want us to sign him, but he's lively, dangerous and not afraid of a shot. Always came up with very important goals for Reading. You may well be right, though its sad that this type of player would be a useful squad addition. His team mate Doyle may be a different story.

From BBC: 1107: "My mate works at Newcastle airport and has just seen Leroy Lita pass through baggage reclaim. I'm a worried Royals fan!" Gotta hope that its because the mackems don't have an airport of their own or we are getting desparate.

Makes sense but Sky this morning were still says the Premier League had recieved special dispensation. 'Special' suggesting it wasn't everyone getting it from UEFA.

This whole 1st of September bit worries me. What makes England and Scotland so different to get an extention (or is its Europe wide) and if so why are teams abroad still going to be selling players that they can't replace.

There is that to think of but frankly we stopped Man Utd playing for most of the match by using the 5 in midfield and sadly Shola's presence has meant the midfield being overrun. -

Shola's made 2 excellent contributions. If it was the Zog doing it you'd think he was after a transfer to Arsenal. F*** it. Sell lose Shola to Arsenal ladies. They're used to fannies. Barton on and leave Owen up front to do what he does best without being Shola'd. -

If they were doing it Taylor style why did we not have 8 penalties? -
Frankly who gives a toss? If i want to watch football i will do... domestically, the Euros, the World Cup. If i want to watch the Olympics then i'll watch Athletics, Cycling, Rowing....even the bliddy Gymnastics. Not football.

.com had the Man U ticket allocation as sold out. Rules allow us as near to 3000 at big grounds so while we sold out we didn't (wisely) take up our full allocation. At Old Trafford we normally have a section to the left of the corner which we didn't have this year which hold about 400. I go to most away games but had it not been the first game of the season i woundn't have gone simply due to the £41 being charged. And i imagine loads more people in taking the same decision that the ticket and travel cost is just too high. On top of that a Sunday afternoon, on the TV, and people will make a decision to select their games, especially away from home.

The new corporate sections were supposed to subsidise the extended family sections but its not like they took seats from 'regular' fans for this game as there were unsold seats. The bit at the back of the Leazes which hold about 840 had about 20 people in it and i couldn't see the block in the Milburn. However i think the season ticket delay meant those away on hols were not able to give their tickets to their mates etc so that will have meant a hit on the attendance. Add this to the small (pitiful) away attendance leaving empy seats in one of the 2 blocks they had. On top of this one of the reasons i think the club moved the away section was the council demands for a bigger segregation section so i think we'll have to get used to a big chunk of empty seats up there. Also some of the made up attendances of the past, especially in the first season after extention, makes yesterday an unfair comparison. However if its under 50k for Hull then it may prompt a rethink of how to flog seats especially in corporate areas.

Season Tickets due to arrive Thursday/Friday - see OP for latest

They can't possibly be expecting everyone to be in to sign for them. Just like they can't possibly expect anyone to believe they'll actually arrive tomorrow en mass. -

Either the postman is gonna be very busy tomorrow with 45,000 envelopes or there's going to be chaos on Saturday. What's your money on? -
Last midweek in August. Imagine we'll be on Sky too.

Mackems go to Forest after playing them there in pre-season.

Coventry away. Nice Trips to Highfield Road were great and we've not been to the Rioch yet.

Leeds and Forest both at home !!! Wouldn't fancy that.
