Just a wasted opportunity tbh. How often do England get a chance to play together for a few games, develop some chemistry and build-up as the tournament progresses to playing better sides. Instead they play this attritional style of football that runs their players into the ground, and expect to be able to flick a switch and play more cohesive football vs Germany, Spain, France come the knockouts. Southgate is truly hopeless.

What a shocker of a mistake.

They beat Newcastle quite comfortably two weeks ago for a start. They ground results out in big games. They beat and drew with Liverpool twice, they beat Man City, did the double over Villa. They were definitely fortunate in a fair few games, but I wouldn't back Newcastle against them next week on a neutral ground if there was a playoff game for Europe.

Haaland is so shit man Man Utd deserve marginally Europe more. NUFC were dogshit for an uncomfortably long portion of the season. Have to take it on the chin.

I know people don't like Citeh's football but there is a lot of value to controlling the tempo and possession when you're up. Don't need to engage in a basketball match when you're 3-0 up.
