Absolutely, he never should have been one on one with an on-rushing Olmo. We lost our composure, treated the ball like a hot potato, a few players slid on their arse - and that was that.

Everyone got a bit too anxious at the end there having been very composed for most of it. Hall, Ramsey, Joelinton, Elanga and Tonali were class in particular. Sucker punch, indeed. Still in the tie, and it guarantees that Newcastle won't just try and sit on a lead (which we're utterly shite at ) in the second leg. Funniest bits of the game was Burn absolutely leathering the ball at his own team mates for simple passes because he's so amped up.

Hall was incredible.

How the draw happened will obviously feel bad, but Newcastle did great.

"Sucker punch" written all over this, but I'm ready to be hurt again. Let's go!

They should all be proud of themselves tbh. I'm not saying this is peak Barca, or that they don't have a few more gears - but Newcastle has played well.
-
Do we need to be lobbying more? Are we not sufficiently histrionic to get these decisions? Or is this just another stacked deck moment?

Been class mind.

It's like a random number generator ... That is rigged.

Hall on God mode.

Nobby and Bobby. Wew. We had them at the same time as Shearer. Goal-printing machine.

One in each half you say? So, I guess we'll have.... quarters. What other game has quarters?

Ramsdale Tino Thiaw Burn Hall Elanga Ramsey Tonali Joelinton Barnes Gordon

Savinho has played 30 minutes combined in Man City's last 10 Premier League games for those getting on Hall's back. He's fresh as a daisy to run at him again and again and again.

Tough one. Didn't have the cards against this Man City team. The moment the same XI stopped on the pitch at HT, the game was done. Insane blind spot that Howe seems incapable of evolving beyond. Probably irrelevant in the grand scheme of things today. They just had way too much against our tired squad. I don't want to pile on any players on the basis of the performance today - but there's definitely a few who should be nowhere near the first team who are there this year. Bruno, Tino and Miley being out is worryingly crippling. Glad Tino is back. Not much match fitness, but he and Hall need to start vs Barca tbh. No two ways about it.

Intentional handball. That's ok.
-
Newcastle will likely not have Europe next year. Really hope we catch them in the middle of really congested injury-ridden periods and tire the feck out of them
-
He's touched the ball once I think.
-
Alright. Tino on but Hall off. Barca or bust for the season then.
-
Fucking hell. Who are they sending on next? Rivaldo.
-
Has Pep done a few lines? The guy is fucking wired.
-
How is that not a foul on Tonali

Giraffes are pretty composed/class tbf. I don't think this one works.
