  1. I'll take one that doesn't have perfectly rectangle feet.
  2. Hall was great against him first half (and I'm the first to dig Hall out for his defending!). Hall has just been dragged away as we're chasing the game. He just needs discipline for the full 90 not to worry about attacking.
  3. True. Goals change games, so you can never know the path not taken, but Isak would have finished one or two of the Wilson chances.
  4. Newcastle have been alright in places tbf. Best performance I've seen at Anfield in ages Just need to take care of the goal difference now. He's been the best player in black and white, but Hall leaving his left back spot (probably out of frustration by the impotence up front), trying to make something happen caused panic there for that second goal. Liverpool absolutely flooded the vacated left back spot. Hall just needs to stick to him like glue in the final. Let the others try and get a goal. The commentators aren't half going over the top about this average Liverpool side I actually feel quite encouraged. They're good going forward but Isak would have had a brace by now.
  5. I wonder if Callum Wilson has enough pace to get close enough to Salah to injure him for the final?
  6. We were all too polite to say it, but each of us were judging you.
  7. Trippier is between D and E for me now.
  8. It's a game of opinions, but the "team full of Xs" argument seems to be least credible IMO when looking at a goalkeeper's quality relative to outfield positions. Unless you're a super confident ballplaying keeper like Raya or Ederson, a goalkeeper's skillset is not transferable to outfield positions. Is shot-stopping equivalent to good technique? Is commanding your box equivalent to being fast/strong? It seems a bit thin. Surely all that is relevant are comparisons to his peer group at his position. The main thrust of Cf's definition for a C grade was that they were a PL starter, which Dubravka has been for a fair while this season without drawing so much as a raised eyebrow from inside or outside the club for being visibly out of his depth. He's not a difference maker, but: - he can join the passing game/receive the ball from his defenders, without the team descending into a Benny Hill sketch - doesn't give you palpitations when a cross come in or he decides to leave his line - is a reasonable, if not spectacular, shot-stopper
  9. C, I reckon. There aren't that many true difference makers in the league. Could be and has been a serviceable starter. I think Newcastle want a B given our aspirations though.
  10. Not that surprising really Only started 16 games too.
  11. I am pleased for you tbf. Couldn't believe there were only 3 minutes stoppage time. What fortune.
  12. One giantkilling in the FA Cup and now you want to try your hand at Real Madrid in the CL? I'm game if you are.
  13. Only saw the second half, which was minging Burn and Pope with the ball at their feet was appalling, generating Forest chances from nowt. Set piece defensive frailty. Not much nous on show to manage the game, or reserve energy. Miley looked assured though.
  14. There's a benefit to Villa getting knackered by CL games so they don't compete for 5th, I suppose. Newcastle have their hands full trying to overhaul the Sovereign State Moneybucks sides of Bournemouth and Forest, mind you, who have been unconstrained by PSR I understand.
  15. It he says "athleticism" again I swear
  16. Massively impressed by Fulham.
  17. Fulham-Forest is a decent watch. Important stop from Sels to deny Traore.
  18. I'd have had Miley and Tino in to start. Whole team came out scared to fart though. Got to be the easiest game Citeh have had all season.
  19. Throw in the towel subs. Fair enough. Also had a throw in the towel starting line up mind
  20. Agreed. Bit of a portent for how we'll set up/approach Liverpool too tbf.
