Re: little brother comment - just some bad fans I've encountered. All clubs have them, I know, but I've had the misfortune of speaking to those fans. As I've said, plenty of good fans too. Not sure I agree about the attractiveness of your football, but to each their own. Re: Cahill - I'd be ashamed to have what I can only describe as a bitchman in my team, the same way I cringed every time Michael Owen and Damien Duff dived. He's worse than both of those though, because he both dives and commits particularly cowardly pieces of aggression... and generally follows it up with some whinging. Him getting sent off at the World Cup was glorious.

Anyway, to answer your question, for me personally they are Liverpool's annoying little brother and can be on occasion too mouthy. During my lifetime as a football fan, they've also played some of the most negative and defence-minded football in the Premiership for such a well established club. Also, Tim Cahill. They do have many redeeming qualities and a good few fans (1878 and Niel for example seem alright) but on the balance of things, they could do with being taken down a peg IMO.

Wormy, change your avatar already man!

Good shout.

Probably not the best, but as it hasn't been mentioned yet, breaking our "London Hoodoo" 3-1 at Highbury to go top of the table for Christmas was pretty damn special.

Liverpool, Everton and Spurs please. (Blackpool, West Brom, West Ham).
-
That's absolutely brilliant.

Mikel will never be in danger of scoring any serious points IMO and I fear HBA won't start. Going to wait a gameweek or two and risk his value rising by 0.1 or 0.2

Ben Arfa has arrived for a modest 5.0 :frantic: Now if only we could figure out Hughton's strongest eleven

Re: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/brighton/8954601.stm Hope he gets some decent experience of first-team football there

They'll pull out and Carroll will get called up, sit on the bench and rest his weary legs imo.

Someone ought to tell Mancini this isn't Serie A. Defensive midfield is a no-no.
-
Did you lose that £200? No, my cowardice paid off, Wullie! Lost £30 and my faith in "bankers" (in-form Spurs losing to out-of-form Wigan at home) though.

Really positive game today I thought. Quite concerned that teams can hack and kick at us with seeming impunity but the likes of Barton/Smith/Nolan will get carded before the opposition have even hit the ground. I very much admire Hughton's diplomacy and wouldn't dream of telling him what to do, but I personally think it might be worth mentioning it in a post-match interview just so the pressure/spotlight will be on subsequent referees to judge those types of decisions on the merit of the situation rather than by reputation. Thought our players did really, really well to keep cool heads out there today. Any one of them could easily have had grounds to spark Henry.

Chelsea bastards.

I wouldn't if I were you. As it is quite clearly idiotic. Based on? The fact your quite clearly a moron. No need for that, like. Play nice.

Having McLoven ahead of Shola is mental IMO but to not even have Shola on the bench
-
Probably a quite accurate selection Andrew. If the Daily Mail are to be trusted.

Went for this and a couple of variations of this. Also, thinking of just whacking £200 on Chelsea -2 at evens.

they have got this kind of thing badly wrong before Very much hope so.

Defoe's said he doesn't need it, for the time being anyway. Likely to play tomorrow. My bad, didn't catch that. Still, he's playing with increasing pain, and if he aggravates his injury, they haven't got a great deal of fire power upfront with Pav yet to find his stride. Midds raises a decent point, but it's all veeery speculative at this point. I personally wouldn't want him here.

With Defoe out with his groin operation, I think they'll be less likely to part with him for starters. He's probably starting tomorrow in fact.
