  1. I was going to put a Stoke-Sunderland draw into my accy when Stoke were trailing 2-1. Good thing I'm a massive chicken.
  2. Oh, sorry mate. [/not a trace of sincere guilt for earlier unashamed bragging]
  3. Huth had a bit of a shocker but ended up with an assist and a goal Thankfully in my FF team.
  4. At least we have a midfield today. Ranger would have caused problems with a midfield behind him - shame that Loven is starting.
  5. Pundits talking about Stoke trying to evolve, but gradually, are so clueless. They just brought in bloody John Carew for crying out loud! Evolving to be TALLER! Rumours are they're trying to get in The Great Khali in on a free.

  7. I want not to be a negative hung-up-on-Hughton cycnical twat, but when I think of Pardew only one word comes to mind - tool. Ugh. I became far too attached to the idea of having a likable manager and a likable squad.

    Alan Pardew

Does anyone get the impression from his interviews, though he will occasionally say the right things, that he just doesn't really give a damn. When we win, I'm sure he's happy, but if we lose I don't think he loses any sleep over it - he gets paid after all.
  9. Jonas was our best midfielder today. Some people don't give a damn what happens though, they have their favourites and their scapegoats. The bloke behind me saw Jose (an understandable favourite) float a ball over Jonas and the Fulham RB, who were both midway between halfway line and the corner post - it went straight out for a goal kick and then bounced... and guess whose fault it was for not chasing it Jonas was our only attacking outlet in open play tonight. Everyone else was diabolical.
  10. Just got back from the match, only word to describe that was feeble. All the more galling that Fulham were shite and still looked comfortable. Special dishonourable mentions for Leon Best who has less awareness of what is around him than a blindfolded and unconscious Lua Lua and the anonymous Guthrie/Nolan. Harper was our MOTM. Hangeland, monstrous beast though he is, had a simple and easy game with the strikers easy to pick up with no midfield support. The only person who made any inroads was Gutierrez but with the rest of the midfield so unambitious the defenders took the forwards out of the game with embarrassing ease. Really, really poor performance. Thank the fucking lord Tiote is back this weekend.
  11. Would be cracking if West Brom could get a winner against the hapless Wigan.

    Chris Hughton

Not sure just how in jest that comment was, but I very much admire that Hughton has at no point come across as naive or unworldly (with respects to knowing what a bastard Ashley is!) - he was just unflinching in his personality/getting on with the job and not compromising his way of managing the players.

  15. Arsenal - Everton been a very entertaining game so far.
  16. First hearty laugh of the day for me. Oh my poor chest.
  17. £20m on Marcelino £20m on Winston Bogarde
  18. All this said, hope Chelsea and Torres batter Liverpool this Sunday

  20. Edit: sorry, but really?! Sorry, but I genuinely feel like that. Relegation felt awful. This feels worse. Then I really do feel sorry for you. Hope you feel better, mate!
