  1. Zidane reminded me of Cantona. Had that immeasurable arrogance to everything be did, bit like Ibra but even more so.
  2. Actually, according to the English, i.e. Oxford English Dictionary, pinkeye isn't wrong. Usage The use of Scotch to mean ‘relating to Scotland or its people’ is disliked by Scottish people and is now uncommon, although it survives in fixed expressions like Scotch egg and Scotch whisky. For more details, see Scottish Origin Late 16th century: contraction of Scottish. The Scotch people just don't like it, boo hoo to them :-)

    Steve McClaren

At least with JFK, we knew he was mental, heck even he himself knew he was mental. Schteev was that senile uncle who has no idea he's walking around with his pants down. JFK reminds me of the wheelchair bound Hector Salamanca
  4. Yeah, he hated the attention so much he even released a song and a music video to calm things down a bit.
  5. Leicester City owner dies - Goodbye England's rose.. Candle in the wind Newcastle United owner dies - end of Star Wars Episode VI - manic celebrations across different cities.. "Weeez arr FREE". Ghosts of KK, Chris Hughton and Alan Shearer appear next to Rafa Benitez who is hugging Jamal Lascelles.
  6. When the crowd say bo... Shit spelling like, no excuse! Be, be kind.

    The Magpie Group

Easy to preach from the outside, but it appears to be that the main obstacle is a divided fan base. If The Magpie Group is meant to cover all supporter organisations, it must have a glaring hole in how to represent the casual fans. Next step should be educating the casual fans, old fashioned style. Leaflet drops door to door, a5 with 3 facts in big letters about Ashley's reign, with a link to further info etc. Fanbase needs to be United before anything will work imo.

10 before, still a 10 now. Assuming the most likely thing will happen in Jan, which is Rafa is given <£20m to spend, including a profit during the window, we aren't staying up.
  10. He's just seeing his contract out then will be gone in a flash in the summer. He wont want two relegations on his CV not matter what the circumstances. I don't think there are more valid mitigating circumstances in the history of football tbh, don't think it harms him, his reputation or future employability in any way.
  11. Other than the minor technicality he owns the club and we don't own the stores, sounds plausible.
  12. What decisions did Benitez make in the transfer window exactly that he should be reconsidering. Do enlighten me. Jacob Murphy, total shite, and not given the chance to prove otherwise anyway, that's his most expensive signing and hes made zero impact in a season and a bit. Spending 10 million Muto and hes barely played a games worth of minutes, has also contributed nothing. Manquillo, I'm no scout but surely there was a younger, more hungry player someone across Europe to spend 5 million pounds on? If reports are to be believed he wanted to spend a combined 40 million on Rondon and Kenedy too, what a fuck up that would have been. Atsu, 6 million quids worth of shite, that's without mentioning the likes of Gamez and Lazaar who were seemingly brought in for the crack and cast off without being given a chance. That's the chance you take with transfers, but overall we've had more misses than hits from him. You genuinley believe these were all Rafa's targets?
  13. On the radio it sounds like they're trying to drown out the fans with the PA.
  14. What was wrong with the son of god ref? Nothing controversial there
  15. What decisions did Benitez make in the transfer window exactly that he should be reconsidering. Do enlighten me. Murphy has been a terrible signing so far. Muto has not had the impact you want from him given the fact he cost more than our average net spend. Letting Mitro go instead of trying to gel a system around him (I was not a fan of Mitro at all but its clear that he has some impact at this level). Look man, Rafa as impeccable as he has been in coaching poor quality players so far, overall I don't find that he has been remarkably astute in the transfer market for us. I say again, what decisions did Benitez make.

  17. Really? Most proper fans jacked in their tickets years ago. Happy clappers came in, not rocket science.
  18. not only is he blameless, he deserves credit and gratitude for things not being a whole fucking lot worse.
