  1. When bought with 100% cotton 3pack of Donnay white sports socks.
  2. Please tell me this is a wind up.
  3. Utterly unbelievable. The club must be laughing their f***ing tits off. Have a look at Ryder's transfer page in the chronicle. a £10m price tag was suggested for Sissoko and the first fan to write in says he's not worth £5m. No wonder Ashley's taking the p*ss. He says £5 doesnt he? We have some right morons though For me, at the minute and for the foreseeable future it's simply: having players > not having players Absolutely no guarantee if and when anyone will be replaced, if at all and for the most part with our few 'good players' the replacement due to the nature of our extremely limited transfer scope is going to be poorer than the outgoing player for the most part and will need the adaptation time to the league. 100% this. We are in absolutely no position to scoff at incoming transfers. Yeah, it's s*** that the club's not setting the bar higher, but between having a full squad of mediocre players or being stretched thin at 4 positions, I'll take the former. Sadly we're still likely to end up with a combination of both scenarios. Big picture, Pardew is in charge of transfers. If he does poorly there's a slightly less slimmer chance of him getting hooked. I don't want us to sign anyone.
  4. You are being paid £40k a week, adored by the fans of the club you support and given the number 9 shirt but go to a club for a bit more money? I think if anyone believes the transfer request was genuine needs to read up on all the info that was available at the time. It seemed plain to me he'd been coerced/forced into it by Mike Ashley for the 'good of club'.
  5. And the ****ers ban/limit you as soon as you start making a few thousand TBF it's exactly these matches that make them profit, when a favourite wins (i.e. most of the time, which is why they're favourites) they invariably lose money. Overall as a business they exist to make money, and the nature of the business is that usually they benefit from the unexpected results, and the punter from the expected. This is why I find it so satisfying to see accumulators pay out millions and the underdog win when someone bet a small fortune on them.

    Soccer.

    Or his sentimentality either :/
  7. England need to play to their strengths - athletic, hard working and devoid of creativity. Wingers who pop in crosses from the bylines, a defence that sits deep with full backs that never push on, and just leave the front 6 to counter as a unit every time. Carroll + Lambert up front, find a spot for Barkley. Kick 2 shits out of every opposing team player. Get Vinnie in as an assistant coach. No-one can do this better than us.

  9. That's now Switzerland, USA and Ghana that have all given me heart palpitations so far lol.
  10. Got a double on Belgium (4-9) and Brazil (3-10), staking some of the profit so far (£20).. fingers crossed.
  11. http://i.imgur.com/waQWChD.png Come on Argentina!
  12. Robben's last goal, where he just took the piss out of Ramos and Casillas. He knew exactly what he was doing and made them look like amateurs.
  13. How unfortunate. I know, I could be giving some money to Mike Ashley instead eh?

    The England Thread

Hard to see how we can fit Lallana, Barkley, Ox, Sturridge and Lambert all in. Great problem to have.
  16. They have the same face. Different lips. Manlove.
  17. Needs to be made everyone's default sig
  18. And they don't want to be called Hull Tigers.
  19. I think that's a myth which needs to be shot down. He cares plenty otherwise he wouldn't be banning local media for reporting on a protest outside the ground which numbered barely 500 people. Exactly, it's clear he is bothered by what people think and say, was it Llambias or Kinnear who asked us to stop singing nasty songs about him? Because he's bothered he's chosen withdrawal and spite, because that is easier than coming clean and trying again. Just ask all my ex girlfriends. I don't believe that Ashley is driven by Spite or Revenge or a desire to F*** the Geordies over. I think he is an unemotional business man who works by the numbers. I know that its popular on here to think that Ashley does things just to p*ss off the fans, but I cannot imagine a business man wasting time, effort and energy to screw over their customer base. Sure, they are not driven by the same emotions as the fans, and don't have the win-at-all-costs mentality, but I think that profit and/or ROI are more important than esoterical demands like cup runs or getting into top 6 etc. Have you misplaced your memory of the first season where he was dancing in the stands with the fans? Getting his belly out? The letters in response to the allegations of death threats from fans of this club? Who banned the local press fore REPORTING ON an anti-Ashley demonstration of barely 200 people? He's as sensitive and emotional as they come. He's full of spite and revenge and it will be a cold day in hell before he sells this football club, he doesn't have to, he can just keep it the way it is, never spend a penny and can continue to 'punish the fans' for his 'treatment' post-Keegan until the end of his days. There is no customer base with NUFC, we are an avertising vehicle for his money-making companies. And if he can siphon off extra buy-in stake money from this club, it's a neat little bonus. He's a cold-hearted, spiteful, ruthless vicious b****** and there is no place for half measures in trying to evaluate his supposed reasons. My signature.
  20. Leaving NUFC for now, when Ashley goes I'll come back. win-win. Come on Tykes, should be fun in League 1 next season.
