Nail your colours to the mast before 1730 (13/08/11): Where will we finish?

I don't disagree with much of that but when we talk about why our best players want to leave the club, which ones are you talking about? How about Given, N'Zogbia, Milner, Bassong, Beye? Anyone with talent, ambition, and options left. The one's that stayed either had lots of baggage (Barton) or were on prohibitively high wages-- that is, not good enough for any club that could afford their salary.

He's having a go at their government and he's completely spot on with what he is saying as well about it. yep.

The ESPN folks immediately declared Group I the"group of death". Ok, Spain yes. And France, but after that? Belarus, Georgia and Finland? Two horse race.

Nope. bass line -
I think this is the most likeable side I can remember. Always hated them and their football. Now, they're good to watch. udos to them.

Very nice. Going to the beach now.

Everybody's dream final!!!!!!!!!!!! God, I hope Paraguay get stuffed.

First, I think you are over-estimating the value and influence of MLS. Anyway, I grew up with NASL and watched NASL--- and Mexican and German football (on PBS, believe it or not), throughout my childhood. This is not the first generation to grow up with a professional soccer league in the US. Not by a long shot.
-
Good. Read somewhere that the Mexican Primera Division is still the most popular soccer league in the US. More people are watching MLS and the English Premier league thanks to FSC. But Mexican football is still tops.
-
Well, um, yes. Longstanding and strange omission of Mexican-American (or Central American-American ha!) players from the US squad. Don't think its a policy decision or discriminatory practice. Just myopia. or stupidity. And, Sewelly, the closest we've had to a "world class" player was a guy named Hugo Perez. (Born in El Salvador, moved to the US when he was a child.)

No sponsor for Lazio?

Madness. Take him in a heartbeat.

Oh, please get a grip. Now you're just looking for something to get sniffy over. ffs.

Watching us without Gutierrez on the pitch in the last 2 years has been painful from an attacking point of view. .... Even without an end product, he seems to scare the shit out of some defenders. They don't know he can't cross or shoot.
-
Mixed feelings. I really wish Chris all the success in the world and I'd love to see Birmingham drop another two divisions. Anything to keep them away from the Premier League.

What's that? I'd like to see that. Spend two hours in there looking for Velázquez's corpse. (Turns out he's buried in Madrid) It's on National Geographic right now. I'm at work (in California). I'll have to hunt that down.

Like it. As others have noted, could do without the black swatch.

From his tweets it seems pretty clear that he values the old guard above the new arrivals. Joey would be an asset next season if he was prepared to be part of the new look Newcastle but he doesn't seem too sold on the club's view of the way forward which could be a problem. Examples? Yes, please. What a load of shit. Joey's always been outspoken. Nothing new about that. It may seem pretty clear to you. What is important is what what he says to the manager and the other players old and new.
