FC Entropy -- Back for another season of misery. --------------- Howard ---------------- Geremi----Lescott----Carragher----Dunne Ronaldo ©-- Reo-Coker--Fabregas--Gilberto --------Berbatov-----Viduka----------- Bench: Niemi, Earnshaw, Convey, Boyce

He asked me a question directly. No point being ignorant if you can put a good point across. KD, that list you've put up there is fair enough, but not Van Nistlerooy, Amazing striker, in no way limited in my eyes, just used to the best of his abilities. Same goes for Shearer. You plural. The braying of a donkey. Could be -- was-- a decent thread.
-
And Geremi as a defender. Good buy if Allardyce plays him in midfield.
-
Why are you still talking to this delusional jackass?

Hey, I'm a "Yank" and I'm telling you that you do not want to go down that road. Playoffs are all about money. TV revenue. Once the owners figure out how much money is to be made from playoffs, they'll extend the playoffs to include practically every mediocre team they can (Hello, Champions League, World Cup) so that the season itself is meaningless. Playoffs ruined baseball in the US. The MLS (Major League Soccer) season is a joke. No. No. No.

A lot assumptions all around. The two that look set are Chelsea and Liverpool. Chelsea: Shevchenko, Pizarro, Drogba, Kalou Spurs: Bent, Berbatov, Keane, Defoe Man United: Rooney, Tevez, Saha, Anderson Liverpool: Voronin, Kuyt, Torres, Crouch, Bellamy Newcastle Utd: Viduka, Owen, Gudjohnsen, Shola, Martins Arsenal: Adebayor, Van Persie, Da Silva, Martins, Walcott, Bendtner

Silva/Arsenal - Could be good or bad news re: Martins

Where do play Dyer? Who do you sit?

1. Chelsea: Shevchenko, Pizarro, Drogba, Kalou 2. Spurs: Bent, Defoe, Berbatov, Keane 3. Man United: Rooney, Tevez, Smith, Saha, Anderson 4. Liverpool: Voronin, Kuyt, Torres, Crouch 5. Newcastle Utd: Viduka, Owen, Martins, Shola 6. Arsenal: Adebayor, Van Persie, da silva, walcott, bendtner That's how I'd rate them now. Chelsea have Drogba; therefore they are at the top of the list. Questions remaining: Are Spurs going to hold on to all four? Are Man Utd going to keep Saha? Will he be healthy? How good is Da Silva anyway? How good is Michael Owen now? If he returns to form, I'd place our attack higher. Its a big question mark

Free transfers not exist a year ago Glenn? Or do you mean attracting premiership level players without breaking the bank on wages because you're a s*** manager? edit: can't be free's because he mentioned sibi ... I wish he'd have elucidated on that point. Sol Campbell on a free transfer might have made a world of difference. Roeder might still have a job.
-
The strange bit about that list is that Chelsea made more than Liverpool, which reached the final. Is this because they finished higher in the Premiership? That really doesn't make sense. Why should league position factor into Champions League prize money?
-
Noticed that too-- no text talk either. Also, they've done away with those ridiculous animated emoticons. Quality thread. Quality forum. If they sell Bridge to us, it will be interesting to revisit their forum. Can't imagine they'll remain civil. That's when the real swearing will start.
-
Don't get too ahead of yourself concerning Bridge. And your signature has Beye at right back...

--------------Given--------------- Geremi--Roz--Taylor--Bridge Milner---Butt---Barton--Duff -------Viduka---Owen-------

Wouldn't exactly call the Argentina World Cup squad mediocre. I see your point about him needing too much space and time for the Premiership though.. Canny player for La Liga however.. Argentina bench Tevez to play Riquelme.
-
1. Carr: Worthless; replace ASAP 2. Ramage: Ditto. 3. Luque: Dump his salary and attitude. 4. Dyer: If someone will pay decent money for him and his salary, so much the better. Would like to see the "Dyer-era" end to be honest. 5. Babayaro: Could be worthwhile as a backup. Would rather he just went away. Would rather see the others on the list stay. Especially, Owen, Martins, and Duff. Way too early to dismiss them.
-
Let's make a cheeky bid for a defender instead. Say, Zambrotta.
-
Thought he was going to Barcelona.... Maybe that is why Sam's down there!!!
-
Derby just payed £3.5m for Earnshaw.
-
Papers seem to indicate that Arsenal will get Sagna. Could that make Eboue or someone else available? If they really want Martins, may be we could a quality player in return?

Most made to look very bad: Twellman, Gaven, Wynn, Clark in particular.
