Thank fuck proper football is back.

Are you Steve Harper by any chance? He just misspelt Krul. Harper makes the rudimentary plus a little bit saves better but Krul has pulled off the two best reaction saves for us this season by a mile (v. Arsenal and then Spurs)

But they're best fans in the land

Similar to the team that played against spurs which put in a good performance. The only change being Shola for Best. If we get this team out i reckon we will win.. I still find it embarrassingly shit that we'd be putting out a team that is weaker than the one that ended last season. As a result the game could easily go either way tomorrow, he who scores first should win but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a draw. -
Valdano has denied it.

Might shut the spackers up for a few days at least.

Give or take £100m to spend I'd definitely be buying Lescott, Barry, Milner, Balotelli and Dzeko. Dear lord. No shock that two of their better buys, Johnson and Kompany, were signed for relative peanuts and from decent scouting instead of buying whoever was flavour of the month.

very good point although with the 3 man midfield now being the norm this may well change.

No logic risking players when a further knock could end their season. I'd be confident with Ferguson/Simpson against Hammill, -
Any of you yankee doodles/sympathisers know anything about Michael Hoyos? Was reading a bit about him today and sounds totally decent. Playing with Veron in Argentina and playing for their u20s despite being American born/schooled.

Goalscorers and creative players will always attract the medias attention. Nee worry.

Been asking a couple of 'experts' on various bits and bobs and they reckon he has slim if no chance of getting in the squad for the Copa America.

This, the clocks are enough. If you're at the match and cant keep track of the score, you're obviously retarded Income generator though. Think of all the adverts and sponsorship it will attract. I will by saddened if we go down the route of Stoke and advertise our substitutions... why? money is money surely.

Rooney will play left as he did v Wales. England still look like they'd get crucified against a top team but certainly look better than they did playing 442 of recent. I see the argument for playing Rooney on the left as he has played there more than a few times for Man United, but the way he has been playing he looks like the ball will just bounce off him everytime he takes a touch. Capello is a dead man walking anyways, so it's a bit of a moot point, but it would send a very big message if Rooney were to be left out for the rest of the qualifying campaign. Good point about Rooney and his first touch, which seems to be the main part of his game that has deserted him. I'm still not sure if it's mental (public revelations of involvement with prostitutes after birth of first child) or physical (manager plays him a week after an ankle injury, and then keeps him on for 30 minutes after the injury flares up again) I think it's the former, in which case I think/hope he'll come back to form. He's our big hope for international success. Somebody on here said words to similar effect the other day, but he's always trying the Hollywood ball and as a result tends to lose it constantly. see Gerrard, Steven.
