  1. He might, but they do get stuck in their ways and tend to go with what they know and trust. So it's far from certain and a definite gamble. His record isn't that good, imo. As I've said, he's been managing a club with much lower expectations and that makes a difference. Can you tell me who we should appoint? Realisticaly... I just want to know your opinion about this. Joe Harvey. Can you be serious? who needs a manager when the fat pig is already the manager mackems.gif Can you please tell me who is your favourite and who do you think should be the new manager of Newcastle United? And please dont say someone who died years ago. I just want to hear your opinion. Me, Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger, and Kevin Keegan. Maybe in that order, I'm not sure. You are serious as HTL I guess someone else should ask you to see your opinion on that matter

  5. Hiddink is with Russia and even if he quits there he will end up with Chelsea. We dont have a chance with him On the other hand Lippi is free and yet again HE doesnt even try to bring him here. I know that we dont have a f****** chance but at least HE can try That why at the end of the day HE can say i tried my best to bring the best manager in the world here but he didnt want to come here.Thats why i appointed someone else. I dont blame Shepherd for trying to bring Allardyce here.I just wish that he could aim higher. He should be aiming at the top.I guess he is too stupid to understand that. Fucking stupid post. For a start you don't have any idea who FS is going after and secondly it isn't even set in concrete that the Gungan is comming here. His last 2 managerial appointments has set the standart for what kind of managers he is after. Shepherd targets last summer and now according to the media =Bruce,Allardyce,Hughes,Shearer,O'Neil,Ericksson Did you hear names like Hitzfeld,Lippi,Hiddink,Capelo NO
  6. I dont. But in every lie there is some truth Can you tell me why all the newspapers are claiming that Allardyce is going to be our manager and not Lippi? Last summer if Shepherd tried to bring Hitzfeld here there should have been some media speculations about this,Shepherd would have said "I try to bring him but he rejected us",Hitzfeld would have said something. Instead Sheperd just laughed at the Hitzfeld campaigns and appointed Roeder. This summer is the same dont you think? Instead of Roeder we have Allardyce(thank God he is actually decent)and instead of Hitzfeld we have Lippi(without the bring him to nufc campaigns)
  7. Speak for yourself. Keegan did a great job at Newcastle, starting his building of the team from the back, which if he came here and started on the back four most around here would be happy. He did a decent job at Fulham and also at Man City. It's entirely possible his experiences since have improved him as a manager. I'd be happy enough if he was given the job. Me too, but the stuff i've heard from him recently suggests that he's done with management and is perfectly happy doing his Football Schools or whatever they are. Quite agree, I don't think he'll return to management either. Just laughing at these posts that are effectively claiming he'd be shite. Now you are making things up Where in this thread someone said he will be shit??? Where? Where? Genius :uglystupid2:
  8. We all know Shepherd dont we? We all know what he is capable of and that he prefers British managers instead of foreigners. Last summer despite of all the Hitzfeld campaigns he didnt even tried to bring him although it was the fan's favourite. Its obvious that Allardyce is the board's favourite for the job and like i said it neve crossed Shepherd's mind to bring someone like Lippi here. The man is too stupid to understand that we need foreign world class manager like the top 4 clubs. Follow the best=not Shepherd's moto
  9. Hiddink is with Russia and even if he quits there he will end up with Chelsea. We dont have a chance with him On the other hand Lippi is free and yet again HE doesnt even try to bring him here. I dont blame Shepherd for trying to bring Allardyce here.I just wish that he could aim higher. He should be aiming at the top.I guess he is too stupid to understand that. ha ha did he tell you this like? for all you know shepherd might aim at the top but cant get them in because they're either at better teams or would never come to us. I was talking about Lippi and right now he is free. The stupid thing is that Shepherd and the board didnt even consider other options as a manager besides Allardyce. They now that he is free and immediately decides he is the best options Thats pretty shallow thinking imo

  11. There is no chance because Shepherd will never try to bring any of these here
  12. Ivan Campo was Real Madrid reject Okocha and Djorkaeff at the time were above 30 and they were past their best The signings of Anelka,Meite,Ben Haim,Faye are more impressive for me. But, they are big names with big reputations. Players abroad will know about Sam Allardyce, and the quality of his managerial skills, because this information spreads by word of mouth. True that they were big names with big reputaions but they were hardly top players especially Campo The thing i like about Allardyce is the fact that his scouting/searching system is at good level. He is bringing players from Africa and they are all good.He can spot the good player.

  14. Both teams have good players,on paper we have more but on the field we look like Championship side.

Yes and no. Its all comparative for me. In comparison to the last two managers, and our current (justified) league position, he's a good choice. In comparison to where we WANT to be in the league, who we could maybe get if we took the effort to go and seek a good manager from across europe, and delivered to him a plan of the future (non playing aspecvts) of the club, and the resources and support he would get over the next 3-5 years, then he is a bad choice. Bearing in mind the fact that our chairman is short-sighted and ineffective when it comes to the football side of running the club, he's the easy, safe choice. My fear in that is that the safe choice is not always the best one*. * I am also scared of the soze of his head. Again i agree with you and you are completely right Shepherd will never move for someone like Lippi or Capelo. He will chooce the easy solution to the problem
  16. Agree with you but i think Shepherd has decided to appoint Allardyce already.

Agree Doubt that Shepherd will ever try to bring someone like Lippi or Capelo here He is looking for the more easy solution and someone who is British. If i was Charmain i will try everything to bring someone like Lippi,Capelo,Hitzfeld,Hiidink although i'll know it will be extremely difficult but it will worth it. I doubt it will ever crossed Shepherd's mind to bring someone from the mentioned above at newcastle

Fair point. I'm more worried by the fact they've conceded more goals this season than we have, and we're the ones with the supposedly shit defence. I also think he's a bit of a bluffer. He hasn't really done that much and as I've said in another thread, he's at a club with low expectations. It will be different at a club like Newcastle. Worrying, also worrying is his recent form since the turn of the year, maybe he felt he was going to leave for a while, maybe there is more to come from the Panorama docu, but it looks nailed on now, and there really isn't any other option. I'd like to see Houllier here, a continental version of SA and with success under his belt, but will old bug eyes leave cushy number like Lyon and would FS really see him as a potential target? I think if we pushed the boat out we could get him as a lot of reports suggest he'd like a return to England however FS has a nice cheap target in view and i don't think it will change unless SA rejects. God forbid Really really stupid thing for you to say tbh. Dont rate him at all tbh.Maybe as DoF he will do a good job considering his experience and connections in France but as manager i dont he will do a good job. After his heart attack he is not the same person.Liveprool fans were really relieved that they replaced him. At the start of the season Lyon was one of the clubs who were considered as one of the favourites to win the Champions league but under Houllier they were eliminated rather early. They lost the League cup to Bordo last month and i think next season they will be even worse under him. Thats just my opinion though

  20. His style of play is perfectly suited with the way Man Utd are playing. With 30m Spurs will buy alot of players
  21. They've said nothing of the sort! What they do is consistently tell less knowledgable fans that once upon a time things were truly horrible, on a level that we as newer fans simply can't relate to. They are happy to admit that the board has made significant mistakes especially the appointment of Souness. And similarly, what they both do is remind people that Shepherd is not the embodiement of Satan himself, that despite all his media gaffes and poor appointments, he has still managed to do some good. And as HTL says - they acknowledge he can do better. Now, I don't particularly wish to defend NE5 and HTL, but you are talking shite - they do not say Shepherd is doing a superb job. thank you 8) Hallelulah for someone who can read without making wild interpretations. Calm down grandfather. Be careful not to wet your pants. Your prostate is getting weaker with age.
  22. That's nice. Can I borrow your crystal ball? There's a jackpot lottery on next week... Unless he takes Man Utd after Ferguson quits i doubt that he will win the Uefa cup and reach the final of the Champions league Dont you agree? yeah, cos only Man Utd ever do that. No but he has the biggest chance of going there rather then going to Chelsea or Liverpool I cant see him wining the Uefa cup with Blackburn Just my humble opinion.
  23. Berbatov is playing at better club ATM With better coaches. that too
