Berbatov is playing at better club ATM
-
That's nice. Can I borrow your crystal ball? There's a jackpot lottery on next week... Unless he takes Man Utd after Ferguson quits i doubt that he will win the Uefa cup and reach the final of the Champions league Dont you agree?
-
He spend big money only when he was at Lazio tbh He achieved bigger things before that when he was at Benfica where he reached the final of the Champions league and the beggining of his career at Göteborg where he won the Uefa cup.Of course that was long ago but nevertheless he has enormous experience at club level When we compare Allardyce with Ericksson about experience Svenn wins it big time. My first choice as manager is still Ericksson because he has the right CV and nows the environment in England. Alot of people are saying that he played ugly and boring football with England and i agree but at the end of the day he was eliminated twice by Portugal on penalties and with one Seaman blunder against Brazil. My point is that he was still producing results and with some more luck he might have achieved something bigger with England.
-
We dont need another Bowyer at our club Thanks but NO thanks
-
Completely agree with you. Sven has won the Uefa cup and reached the final of the Champions league He has better CV then Allardce but that doesnt mean he will be 100% success here Nobody will know who will succeed or not for sure. We can rely only on their history before and what they achieved.
-
Ericksson But i also think he will be our manager or at least its the board favourite so unless Allardyce himself decides that he doesnt want the job he will be appointed soon.
-
According to grandfather NE5 and some other mentalists on this board you cant have opinion about Newcastle and the team unless you have been on the stadium watching the team live Making stuff up again, I see. It won't become a fact because you say it a lot, you know. I wasnt refering to you genius. Calm down.
-
nobody cares anymore And Roeder never said anything like:I did alot of mistakes during my time as a manager or something like this He was blaming everyone except himself

blueyes.gif blueyes.gif blueyes.gif blueyes.gif blueyes.gif blueyes.gif blueyes.gif What's wrong with Hughes? Just because the last manager we got from Blackburn was shite doesn't mean this one is... REALLY?! Good manager but not that good. I'd take Hughes before Eriksson any day I had take you to the nearest hospital any day of the week I must say I am utterly devastated that my opinion is treated with derision by such a knowledgable fan with an encyclopaedic grasp on all facets of the game as yourself. I think I'm going to top myself... I doubt Hughes will achieve what Ericksson achieved at club level.
-
Tell that to grandfather NE5 who thinks we need to sign strikers before defenders :uglystupid2: :uglystupid2:

of course it is. The sky pundits, especially the likes of Jamie Redknapp, know all about Newcastle United, and have no bias whatsoever. So what they say is correct, every time. Particularly if they say Oba Martins is a top player, because he's scored a few spectacular goals on the telly, and we have a "bad defence because Newcastle have always had a bad defence ever since the days of Keegan". Are you somehow suggesting that the pundits are perpetuating the myth of Newcastle having a shoddy defence which is actually the 6th best defence in the world? find where I said that or anything like it ? The same "shoddy defence" which has a pretty decent defensive record this season, despite spending far too many games up against it through the hopeless players in front of them conceding ground and forcing them on the back foot. Obviously, looking at the posts on some of the NUFC boards, too many people have indeed been listening to these people, who are quite happy knowing they are actually half convincing half hearted Newcastle fans that they know what they are talking about, because deep down they are happy to keep us in the position we are in, knowing that we would wipe their arses with their own little cockney tosspot teams the day we finally get our act together. As we did when Keegan was manager. Which is why they slate him and the fact he "won nowt". Laughable, and showing a complete lack of appreciation of where this club was when he walked through the door. Which sort of proves my point completely. No, you misunderstand me - I admit perhaps dropping in the reference to 6th best defence in the world was a tongue-in-cheek comment - but you're right that there's a great many of us who find it difficult to live with being ridiculed for having a shite defence, let alone having to watch it week in week out. But the main point you make about the midfielders being weak is spot on. We haven't had a decent midfield performance since Gary Speed left us, and even well before that I'd say. Well, I don't think its such a shite defence, as a shite attack, with players who are underachieving and unbalanced. I think defending starts from the front, with good possession and the footballing ability to gain the initiative. I can accept what you say about the "6th best defence", and the hidden implication of me having said that "only 4 clubs have qualified for europe more than us" [which is still the case, and is a damn sight better than about 20 teams qualifying more than us which was the situation the current board found us in when they took over the club] but still thought better of you. This was supposed to be a decent debate, not a repetition of the stupid comments made by some of the wankers on toontastic. I think that Nicky Butt has eventually proved to be a worthy replacement for Gary Speed, as I thought he would, and the problem is in other areas. But that is just my opinion. I also think that the midfield we had when Rob Lee played was as good as anyone, he himself being the best English central midfield player in the premiership between about 1995 and 1999, 2nd only to Roy Keane. Wept You are the new Bill Shankly Our defence is more shit then our attack Genius Genius Grandfather NE5 for England

Those people who thinks Allardyce isnt the right choice must remember that 3 days ago our manager was Roeder. Who is probably the worst manager in the Premiership. Yes,Allardyce is not the best manager in the world but in the last couple of years he has shown that he is developing as a manager and he has reached his peak at Bolton. Now he is looking for bigger club and bigger challenge. I think that he can become really good manager,he is developing and his work at Bolton should suggest that he will be success here.Of course there is nothing certain in football as in life. There were managers like Hiddink,Koeman,Hitzfeld,Lippi,Ramos etc. mentioned. I also want Lippi but we all know that is not going to happen so lets be realistic.Allardyce's appointment is a good one and i hope he will succeed here. Also we must give credit to Shepherd for acting so quickly and that finally he appointed the right man. Good luck Sam O0

Emre's delievery from set pieces is shocking this season
-
Ericksson? Again, to be honest I'm not sure, he was truly dreadful with England and his achievments before that were either a long time ago or helped by a lot of money. Though as I said, I don't think we are in a position where the choice will be vast. I don't envy Shepherd, the mistakes he has made over the last 2/3 years are coming back to haunt him and made his next decision a very difficult one. England played bad under him but afterall he was unfortunate not to achieve something with England 2002 World Cup=Seaman blunder against Brazil 2004 European Championship=Portugal penalty kicks elimination 2006 World Cup=Portugal penalty kicks elimination At club level he has impressive CV and has won trophies at every club he worked at. Also only at Lazio he managed to win things due to alot of money. I think he is our best option Compared with Allardyce he is more experienced, worked at bigger clubs and won alot of trophies the reason he underachieved at England was awful tactics and the awful pairing of Lampard + Gerrard at Lazio he won things as you say thanks to a lot of money agree about Lampard+Gerrard Still think that he didnt do too bad job as England manager With some luck he could have achieved something more.
-
are you joking? everton must be one of the best teams in the world if they can go 2-0 up against man utd without some of their players giving 100%. NUFC you really are a joke and know nothing about football. you basically saying the everton man utd match was a fix I said that after they went 2 goals ahead some of the Everton players like Neville didnt try too hard and Phil Neville own goal was the proof of this.
-
Sven Geordie Eriksson because he is the most experienced and most successful from the realistic bunch we can get.
-
Souness was/is an idiot who didnt give a shit about newcastle and thats why he ruined everything that SBR build. His personality is disgusting
-
Souness??? Gullit??? from what i remember, these two attracted more attention than sir Bob ever did and look where they took us. That theory is a load of poop tbh He is talking about attention as a person who can inspire respect and ambition. That combined with ability as a manager of course.Otherwise you can appoint Vinnie Jones because of his look but i doubt he will do a decent job Souness attracted attention with all his scandals with players and his negativity as a person. Could be argued that Souness and Gullit inspired respect and ambition, both world class footballers, both won trophies in english football. But they obviosly didnt show enough managerial abilities when it comes to play decent football. Also Souness didnt insipre respect,he insipred self-interest with his enormous ego that he always put it above what is best for our club.
-
just cos he's been here years, he should be captain?? the fact that he has proven himself incapable of controlling and inspiring the back four, never mind the whole team, is a bit more relevant i think. Which goalkeeper can do that? I doubt even Lev Yashin could have done this. don't be silly, Schmeichal did it, Seaman did it, Tim Flowers did it, Kahn does it, Paglica, Buffon........ I was talking about who can inspire our back 4 at newcastle with the like of Ramage,Bramble,Carr,Babayaro From the people which you mentioned i think only Schmeichal would have done it.

Agree with you. Roeder was a rat and when you look at him he doesnt bring any confidence or respect at all Im not sure about Van Gaal though. He is too arrogant and will floof our team with dutch players like he did with Barcelona. I would like to see the opinion of Karate Kuyt about him
