  1. f*** off is the second kick momentum, the second kick is a deliberate attempt at hurting Coloccini, he's clearly lashing out in frustration. Disgusts me that some on here don't think it's a red tbh. Plus even if the ball was there, most sane football players would know that to lash out like that with a full swing has a high chance of injuring a fellow player. Players go on all the time about not intentionally wanting to injure a fellow player but when you kick like that when a fellow player is on the ground, that's exactly what you are trying to do. The fact that the ball was or wasn't there is immaterial, it merely masked his intention and he's just using it as an excuse which unfortunately many seemed to accept, to me if anything it is at best taking advantage of the situation for evil intent and at worst cowardice of the highest order.
  2. Can't believe he committed suicide, not him, everything was so normal, in fact going so well for him. Some fucker must have did him in and disguised it as suicide!
  3. Puma are reported to be making the kits for another 2 years, not sponsoring them. don't get it, how is it a "lucrative deal" if they are just making the kit, they have to pay us to make our kit??? Of course they pay us to make our kit, how did you think it worked? no idea, assumed it included sponsorship

  5. So its not gonna be Sports Direct as our sponsor then like some have predicted?
  6. Spot on. Even on this forum, try saying Ferguson is classless and you'll have so many people defending him (not today obviously) because of his results and achievements. No debate about his success but you'd expect more class from a 'Sir', world of difference between him and wor Bobby. The latter is a true gentleman of football, Ferguson is a class A cunt, I hope people remember today the next time they want to lick his balls for his success.
  7. He kicked with such malice as well, almost like he was hoping to get the ball and injure the player in one kick. Think that was what riled up Barfa and rightly so. Hate the cunt Rooney
  8. So we have Gosling (who scored a goal last week) and we have Santon and Pardew puts on Perch. Really impossible to understand Pardew!

    Alan Pardew

Not happy with his insistence of playing Raylor even after costing us 2 goals last week. At some point he has to show some balls and play Santon
  10. So is Colo confirmed out or are we doing our usual knee jerk panic based on some crappy website/journal report? For what it's worth, completely agree with Interpolic on our situation with centre back, shit situation to be in and one which could have been avoided. Absolute no chance without Coloccini

    Hatem Ben Arfa

That clip showed more of his vision than his skill. Seems like he wasn't using his sudden acceleration to get pass players, not sure if that was deliberate or just a matter of conditioning and fitness. Hope he hasn't lost that attribute coz that was what made him so good
  12. I supported the Carroll sale because I thought we were gonna use the money to strengthen the squad in numerous positions. After seeing what happened, I would not sell for Tiote even for 50M!
  13. Don't quite get why you seem pleased that one of OUR players conceded a penalty and that we're losing 0-3? What are you happy about? Thinking that you've been proven right...seriously just f off
  14. Bet against us every week, even stick a bet on a draw as well if I think that'd be a bad result. If the fates hand us a crappy result then some beer money should help soften the blow, but mainly I just stick on as much as I feel comfortable with losing because it'll guarentee us a win in my mind. Lost a metric ton load this season. Delighted. Do the same thing mate! I call it emotional hedging
  15. It helps when someone made a stupid post yet with so much self assured arrogance just the way Ronnie did above!
  16. Looking at our (sort of) rivals in the league, the likes of Everton, Villa, Sunderland (I know, I know LOL), Stoke and even Liverpool, they either have managers who don't seem to like to buy from abroad (Bruce used to more but seems to bottle it now) or have no money, so I still think we're in the driving seat in that sense. I also think that our reputation would also help. All else being equal, players also look where they can fit in easier and having teammates or a coach or the same nationality helps. The same way the Frenchies love to go to Arsenal because of Wenger and the Spaniards used to love Liverpool because of Benitez, I think having the likes of HBA, Cabaye, Marveux and lads who speak French like Ba, Tiote...etc can be an important factor.

    Danny Guthrie

Wouldn't go that far. If a reserve comes in and performs well it's great and obviously helps his cause, but I don't think it means he automatically should start. Especially since he only played in the first place due to injury. Guthrie has waited for his chance and when it came along, took it with flying colours. I think it's vital that every player gets the message that if they play well enough, they get their reward, and the team is picked on merit, not reputation. I always felt that the period where Shearer was getting picked regardless of performance was very corrosive of team spirit. Players have to be judged on the performance that we see, not the one we expect to see. Personally, I'd written Guthrie off as a long-term prospect for us, but he played with such calm authority against Stoke and Everton. Perhaps he's responding to a different atmosphere in the squad, but whatever the reason it does look like he's found a confidence and maturity that wasn't there before. That approach would generally be good when a squad player comes in due to a first team player being out of form and if the squad player performs, yes then he should keep his place in the team. But if the squad comes in due to injury or suspension, then he should not just get to keep his place unless he actually outperformed the first team players when he replaced them. Guthrie played well but his performance was not better than Tiote or Cabaye before they went off injured so once they are fit, they should start simply because they are the best midfielders we have.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Excellent!!! I wonder why Mick didn't post this screen shot where Ben Arfa had plenty of space to play it in to and Ba was making the run waiting for the ball to be dropped over? That's the thing when you're debating a guy from memory who has access to screenshots but only shows you the ones that suit his agenda. It's clear from the picture that I was right in what I said and the chance to finish the game off was there, the question to the people saying he was doing what he was told and holding on to the ball is why didn't he run it into the corner if that was the case? Instead he tried to beat the man again and ended up losing it allowing Everton to bring it forward again. Brilliant ball retention that. As is pretty obvious this opinion doesn't suit Mick, his Pardew bashing bum chum Wullie and a selection of fan boys on this forum but there's no need to cry about it lads, I'm sure he'll be amazing soon and you lot can w*** yourselves silly when he does finally get an assist or something. I know I should not entertain you, but out of curiosity what is Mick's agenda? To be supportive of a player of ours that just came back from a year long injury? Shocking!

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Why? How many problems has he had with other managers that you know of or are you creating something out of nothing again?

    Hatem Ben Arfa

What about the time when Ba was in space and only needed to be slipped through to have a clear run on goal, instead of doing that Ben Arfa heheld on to it too long and tried to beat the fullback again before losing possession. What he'll find is if he doesn't start releasing the ball at the right time soon then our players will stop making those runs, we've seen that with unpredictable players here in the past. I explained this in my post earlier. When he came on, our objective was to hold on to the lead not score another goal. This was what he was told to do by Pardew and this was what he did. Sure we could have done with a 3rd goal but it is not as simple as that. An attempted through pass could easily resulted in loss of possession if i) the pass went wrong, ii) was intercepted or iii) the striker (Ba) did not get to the ball on time. This would have been awful because our midfield was not only inferior but outnumbered and being overran and our defenders clearly knackered. His performance should be evaluated based on what he was told to do and our need in that particular game at that given point of time not just based on what we think is generally awesome.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

That was the most number of players name dropped in one response I've seen on here!
  23. You mean not Barcelona? Isn't he the best midfielder in England?
