  1. Ultimately we still need to replace both Almiron and Murphy, so it makes sense to get one good player to do that, meaning we would have Willock, Barnes, Gordon and the new winger to cover the wide positions, plus either Murphy or a youngster as emergency backup.
  2. I took the hit of captaining Saka to make sure he did nothing against us today. You're all welcome.
  3. I think it's a lot to do with how weak our right hand side has been. Murphy and Miggy have got worse and Tonlai is still settling in
  4. His teams normally score goals though. We look shite at the back without offering much going forward
  5. Refels view was blocked TBF but the linesman should be flagging
  6. I don't mind it for offsides, but for penalties it is just useless. Wrong decisions either way so rarely get overturned
  7. First XI is disappointing but the options off the bench are pretty tasty
  8. If we can't fit his name into a song from Vlachodimos and Pliers I'm going to be disapointed
  9. I agree. The issue is that I can't see the majority of our fans being happy when we let them go, as per the Brighton model. Minteh is a case in point, and he hadn't even kicked a ball for us!
  10. The two you are using currently seemingly can't defend
  11. Perversely it's the sort of game ETH would have used WanBissaka in previously - he was limited but good defensively. It seemed odd to me that they wanted him gone
  12. I'd be interested to hear an example of someone who you can't tell is class by the way they play.
  13. Anyone watching the highlights on MOTD who then listened to the pundits going on about how Spurs should have won would have been mightily confused - all the good chances that were show were for us. Goes to show it's quality of possession and chances that makes the difference rather than just volume
  14. Ah, so the European teams get a home draw guaranteed. What a load of shit.
  15. Bet the forest physio is buzzing about the oasis reunion

Your understanding = what you read on an CPFC forum?
  17. While I'm far from wetting the bed I do feel we need some new faces in. Consistency in the playing team is all well and good, but all teams need to freshen up the squad with new signings - it doesn't just bring new talent to the starting eleven but it shows existing players we have ambition and gives them motivation to work for their place. I'm content to wait until the end of the transfer window before making judgement but I don't think anyone will be able to argue that we have failed in this window if the squad is still as it I now come Friday.

I'm usually pro buying premier league experience, but £70m seems like crazy money. I'm joining the buy an unproven European wonder kid gang
