Ali's right. Spurs could win all their games and still not finish 4th so it's not in their hands either. Spurs just so happen to have a significant goal difference advantage at present, but it's in neither team's hands in the real sense of the phrase. As soon as a team goes a point or more clear it's in their hands. We have a winner (well, another one who understands what I've said all along)! Are you taking the f***ing p*ss? Are you? So i'm thick as f*** for saying: You then agree with Interpolic who writes this exact same logic, just in a different manner It's not the exact same logic though. What you fail to understand is that saying "It's not in Newcastle's hands" does not equal "It's in Spurs' hands" as both are in fact relying on the results of the other, i.e. it's in neither's hands. I said the first, but never the second. I havn't failed to understand anything, you have however. You have confused "It's still in our hands" as "it's solely in our own hands". I expect an apology. So it's in our hands but also in Spurs' hands?

So it's not in Spurs' hands either then? Of course it its in their hands you thick fecker, they only have to match our scores. How can they guarantee they score more goals than us? For it to be in their own hands they would need to be in a position whereby if they won all their genes there would be nothing we could do to catch them. Ie getting 3rd is in arsenals own hands and winning the league is in man utds own hands

So every team in the top 6 has at least 1 player nominated with the exception of us?

Does it go to a replay if it's a draw? Not sure I could bear a penalty shoot out with Waddle commentating.I

I read a stat that said that only about 2% of direct corners resulted in goals and that statistically you were much more like to score by taking it short and keeping possession.
-
would like to see us take more short corners tbh

I can't wait 'til he fucks off to the England job

anyone heard any snippets from the show yet? has he revealed anything interesting like he's moved onto blueberry syrup now? Mimifrench translated the main points in the HBA thread.

Another shit pen like
-
He's still like shit off a stick tbf. Did you not see his run to set up the first goal?

Oh dear. What a miss

Eh, what's pathetic about that? I assumed it was in tribute to something that happened in a different country to him when he was about 7. Ah, ok. Think it's probably to do with his lad rather than that.

Eh, what's pathetic about that?

Although in general i much prefer the 4-3-3 formation I think we will see 4-4-2 again for this one, particularly after our tactics against them away worked so well. Playing 3 in midfield against a team who constantly bypass their midfield might be overkill

Gerrin Clint

The test will come in games where he has more chance to get forward. Today he was forced into keeping to a tight shape and as such wasnt caught out of position as he has been in previous games.

I do find the way that they play a bit dull and it's not the way I'd like to see us play, but many on here seem to be basing their opinion on Swansea's tactics solely on today's performance - I have seen them play with much more purpose and attacking threat in other games when they have used their wingers much more effectively than they did today. I find the idea that their style is somehow anti football and deserving of comparison with Stoke pretty laughable.

Gosling looks knackered already
-
Cabaye looks so much more effective in an advanced role

Dalglish was one of the very few people who would have been given the time (by the fans at least) to try and rebuild the team with talented youngsters with potential to improve - instead he bought a load of average premier league players and looked for a quick fix
-
I'd rather we simply got someone better than Steven Taylor. Taylor was good while he was fit this season but his form over his entire career has been inconsistent at best. Coloccini could feasibly be playing for us for the next 4 years, I don't think it is realistic to expect a talented youngster to wait that long to become a first team regular.

I'm sure it will be

Would love to see us get Matt Phillips from Blackpool - seems like a less hyped but more effective alternative to Zaha.
