  1. The ref was a disgrace, VAR was a disgrace, but we still had chances to win it. Elanga needs to get in the bin - he's just a sprinter with no awareness and no idea what to do with the ball.
  2. That's as stonewall a pen as you will ever see. It's not just the shoulder - his leg goes right through Gordon
  3. Howe only buying athletes rather than footballers is always going to mean we struggle against a low block, but for them to not be able to compete physically in this game is indefensible.
  4. Soft. I think it's because the ball ends up where Dan Burn was that it was given
  5. You can see the players have that confidence in him too. I really can't see Pope getting back in the team
  6. I agree the S I agree that the Sterling stuff was appalling - there seemed to be a genuine vendetta against him which i can only think was because of the colour of his skin, but the press and fans were all wanking themselves silly over Bellingham previously - the issue is that his form for England has taken a bit of a dive and his attitude appears to have got worse alongside it. This is not a hill I want to die on as I do think there is a lot of truth ion what Ian Wright is saying - I'm just not sure Bellingham is the best example of this particular prejudice.
  7. Confidence is one thing, but arrogance is an unnatractive trait no matter what the colour of your skin. I'm sure there are some who are down on him because of his race, but i think the majority see a player who thinks he is bigger than the team and base their judgement of him on that.
  8. Howe's success seems to depend strongly on his ability to have a good amount of training time to prepare for a specific opponent. Whenever we have quick turnarounds of games the results seem to suffer, and at this stage of the season in particular it looks like a preparation rather than a fatigue issue - our champions league games definitely seem to be taking priority over league at the moment.
  9. Winning 1 nil away from home to go on to lose 3-1 in consecutive games is fucking awful. I love Howe but the away league performances are a massive worry. It's not just that we are playing shit, we don't look like we care.
  10. Fair enough - I'm certainly not enjoying their success and won't be sad when their current reun of form ends, but if we can't even have some begrudging appreciation for what they are doing, then let's not try and claim we are any better as a set of fans than they are.
  11. I think Hall and Livramento coming back will make a massive difference. Burn and Krafth at fullbacks today was a massive bottleneck for anything we wanted to attack down the wings
  12. The fullback situation is really hurting us. Getting high quality alternatives to Tino and Hall should be a priority.
  13. How Gordon is keeping his place in the league is beyond me. He's greedy, loses the ball, doesn't track back or follow his man.
  14. Eh? How would a shareholder loan help them? If that was the case we wouldn't have had to sell Minteh and Anderson
