I always find it fascinating to see incompetent managers dropping our most skillful players first when there are others in the squad doing the same or far worse in more important positions, and many of our fan base willfully agree with such moves. Nobody is saying Perez lit up the world against palace, but for the umpteenth time, it was the horrendous DM performance that let wave after wave of palace "attacks" go right to our shitty back four. The whole "Perez didn't care" or "stopped trying" malarkey is akin to, as I've said before, changing your hat when you've actually shit your pants. But anyway, I hope he doesn't throw a strop and McC finds a way to fit him into the side if Jong and Cisse don't do the business (jury is still out for me regarding both, but I look forward to see how they perform).

Well put. Football 'journalists' don't deserve the pleasure of publication on any page.

Ladies and gentlemen, our owner. When I read about his other dealings, I feel like we're stuck in a dictatorship and we have no hope of ever ousting him unless he leaves of his own accord. And even when he does, he may do something horrendous to screw us as a parting gift.
-
I agree Cisse has looked good the last couple of games, but this is Cisse we're talking about FFS. How long is this going to last? How long until he returns to being perennially off-side and disinterested, planning his next wedding decor in his head?

The persecution complex is strong in this one. Buddy, Ayoze was the least of our problems against Palace and Leicester when our entire f***ing midfield was non existent. Bearing in mind Ayoze plays behind rather than alongside the striker, should he not shoulder some of the blame for our abysmal midfield given that it's his job to help out to an extent? By contrast, De Jong more or less played the same role at the weekend and made a decent contribution towards possession, pressing, winning the ball back and the like. I'm a huge fan of Ayoze for the record but I think it's very generous to call him the least of our problems recently - he's been poor the last couple of games. While both he and Mitro were ineffective in those games, I still think the main issues lie further down south from where Ayoze plays, we so badly need at least 1 solid DM, I am tired of hitting my head against the wall in the hope this dramatic exhortation translates to us actually getting one in.

I'm not entirely sure he's scapegoating either of them as well, but in relations to Perez, Brett has it spot on. He's been ambivalent about him from the beginning.
-
Yeah, well he hauled him off at half time last week, he started the seaosn with him on the bench so McClaren clearly has some doubts about him for one reason or another. Why is it that we only hire managers who have doubts about our best player(s)? Dinosaurs, the lot of them.
-
IMO he's scapegoating Perez as well. But we won, so let's see. I would rather he fit Perez into the side somehow, maybe on the left.

A Ben Arfa Dortmund shirt though. I would never take it off and would shower with it on.

The same neutrals who say we shouldn't have sacked Pardew, and how great ginger Jack is? People are frustrated with Sissoko's seemingly picky attitude, nobody's questioned his talent. He's got the highest assists for us this year, no? He seems to only do it when he feels up for it.
-
I just realized how badly constructed this post was . It sounded like I was no longer an unabashed, heart-eyed fanboy of HBA, which is tantamount to blasphemy for me. So, corrected in bold. What I meant to say was, Sissoko is miles below others who've been accused of being bad apples at this club in the past, in that he only seems to show up when he wants. I've both given up on him completely this year, questioned his attitude, and praised him, constantly this year. And it all points to entitlement.
-
There was a time when that was my stock response to many of your posts, Ian
-
We just need to replace him with a real right-winger and get rid of this toxic, entitled fuck. He's one of the few real 'bad apples' we've had at the club, far worse than HBA in my opinion. At least HBA never chose when to turn up and when not to.
-
Nailed it. I never realized but it was bugging me since he joined us. Fucking Jeff Winger, with his horrendous haircut that LDJ is following to a t.
-
I thought he was slow and was pushed off the ball as much as, if not more, than Perez usually does. Ineffective going forward and not entirely sure where the effusive praise is coming from. We've seen more from Perez in that role all season.
-
One person who deserves to rot in the reserves until he gets his CL move.
-
What exactly does cisse offer over Perez?
-
Dummett belongs in the championship.
-
Need Sissoko off for thauvin and de Jong or cisse off for Perez.
