  1. I was going to reply to that incendiary comment but then I checked who the troll was. No bother. Can you stay out of this thread, Crumpy? It's akin to your mother walking in bearing a wooden cross while you're spanking one off.

'Make a centre-back their priority' If only we didn't have one before who we gave away for a pittance. http://rlv.zcache.com/no_freaks_2_inch_round_magnet-r41ee4014ce1d42b7a9d81fb891fa9da2_x7js9_8byvr_324.jpg
  3. All this talk of a passing CM has me remembering a ghost figure on the periphery of his NUFC existence: wasn't it Marveaux who threaded that ball through the eye of the needle last time we couldn't break down Stoke (or was it some other team?) for Cisse to score an easy chance placed for him on a platter? Wonder what he's upto?
  4. Shawcross was practically packing his fudge all game, bordering on fouls but he's too smart and knows he won't be called for his constant bullying. This is just the nature of the Prem and something Mitro is going to have to get used to. Either by dishing it back, as he was today, or being thoughtful about creating an extra yard of space between him and the ogre to get into scoring positions. The epitome of getting used to this league.
  5. Forgot we even had Thauvin! So... not given a single minute at home to stoke at 0-0? He's finished here, unless Shteve goes first.
  6. That's cause De Jong was invisible for the 20 mins he was on. Yep. I'm still waiting to see what others have seen in him. Every time I've watched him he's been slow, unable to keep up with breaks on the counter, and largely invisible all the other times. Doesn't even seem to make runs into space.
  7. As has been mentioned numerous times, there are already a ton of stoppages in a regular "90 minute" football game that a few replays of the most divisive incidents (which may not even occur in every single game being played) will hardly turn the game into test cricket.
  8. I'd say he's our best player, but our most important is Mitrovic. Without him, everything really does fall apart. Ayoze was arguably our best player last season as well, when we didn't have Mitro. Ayoze has been our best player these last two seasons but he's still not a natural goalscorer, having someone like Mitro next to him increases the effectiveness of him in the team. Without Mitro, even with Ayoze's talent we'd struggle for goals. Most definitely, and I hope to see these two blossom into a full fledged homo romance up top. We've not had a real strike partnership since Bestie-Lovenkrands.
  9. I'm willing to see how Lascelles does in place of Colo, next to Mbemba, tbh. Surely he's played enough FIFA at the top level and watched enough of our Premiership games to get an idea of how the league works . What I'm saying is, can't be worse than Colo or Willo, even though he has looked dogshite in his limited appearances thus far. He's still young, though, an therein lies the folly of hope.

  11. Cricket being a shitty and boring as fuck sport has done that. Nothing else. Well that's a monumentally incorrect statement. Kaizero sounds like a Colback fan with that statement right there.
  12. OMG is this real? I'm treating myself to a happy ending today.
  13. Anita and tote would be the worse partnership we could put into midfield tbh. I think it would be marginally better than Colback and Tiote. As if Colback and Tiote was Viera-Petit

Can't wait to see Mbemba start with Willo when / if Colo is ruled out. We may even see the halcyon pairing of Taylor and Willo if we keep our defensive disciplinary record going.

It's shocking to me that Pardew, Carver and now McClaren couldn't convince the board to get an entire new defensive line. Actually, why am I shocked? It's what happens when you hire sycophants and yes-men who're happy to tug at the owner's scrotum while having their tongues lodged firmly up his anus.
  16. The defence is the single biggest problem right now. If we can create somewhat of a tight unit at the back, we can start churning those ridiculous losses into draws at least.

I'm pretty sure we'll just offer the gig to Cathro. Or Steve Black. Or Schoenmaker. Or Simpson.

    Chancel Mbemba

Wow. Has he seen him play - at all? centreback, African name... big lad init... not sure about his technique though. I'm glad he didn't throw in 'athletic' or 'lacks a footballing brain.' Edit: not saying Howey was being racist in any sense at all Just thick as pigshit, as usual.
  19. Does our manager have the balls to buy a new partner for Mbemba in January? Colo needs to be on the bench and slowly zoned out of the club. There's always a warm seat for him in San Lorenzo.
  20. It's the fact that he doesn't look sharp or eager to read the game, unlike his opposite number today who owned his area well.
  21. My only issue with dummett is that he cannot control a football.

Wasn't it Shearer twice in the San Siro, and then Nobby with the only goal at SJP as they thrashed us 4-1?
